  • Katy Perry’s film debut

    It looks like getting married does not impair Katy Perry from getting a bit of diversity into her career. The singer will be getting into acting, but she is starting out slow at first by doing some voice acting. The character Katy Perry will be doing however is a very interesting choice: Smurfette. Yes, it looks like there will be a new animated movie with the loveable blue creatures and Katy Perry will be among them as the only female representative. Russell Brand must be so proud of her… in fact, it would be a shame if he didn’t join in the group as well. He’d probably make a mean Gargamel.

  • Katy Perry’s career value

    Is not very high, at least not to her eyes it seems. The singer recently admitted that she would very gladly give up her career just to be a judge on American Idol. This is what Katy Perry said on the matter: “The ‘American Idol’ experience was awesome. If I was offered that job as a permanent host, I would ditch my career and take on that career. It’s such a fun, easy thing. I mean, I guess the pressure gets really on when you start eliminating the number of people that are going through until you’ve got the final two. So that can be kind of tense and stressful, but otherwise it’s kind of like judging a talent show.” Well, Katy Perry must have really made a good impression with her judging skills from her recent experience. Everybody would probably love to have her in the judges’ box and certainly no one will ever lose the contest on her watch.

  • Ronnie Wood does it again

    The guitarist from the Rolling Stones seems to have done it once more: he broke up with his latest Russian girlfriend. This is what she said about her brief relationship with Ronnie Wood: “We last saw each other on Sunday but it has been a very challenging couple of days and I would not want to see him again. I’d never dated anyone much older than me or anyone famous. We watched movies, went for a meal and went to the snooker. He was very kind and gave me a scarf from his collection.” Well, at least Ronnie Wood is making some progress. This one ended peacefully, without trips to the police station and whatnot. Maybe the next one will work out even better.

  • Elton John’s dance album

    The legendary singer has apparently decided to change his ways a bit music-wise and record a dance album. This is what a source said about Elton John’s new musical direction: “Elton says he’s writing his most exciting new stuff for years – possibly decades. Working with P’Nau has got the creative juices flowing again. They have got a load of big companies sniffing around.” Big companies sniffing around does not necessarily mean great material… hasn’t Elton John learned that in all his years of music. Or has the artist already succumbed to the dark forces of demise and was replaced by a raging disco queen with a lust for the green stuff?

  • Madonna has been deified

    Seeing as how Michael Jackson is dead and as there were no other candidates for the position, Madonna has recently been declared a god. It is not worldly official… it just happened at the Malawian orphanage where she adopted her son David from. While in the country Madonna visited David’s old orphanage where the children just couldn’t refrain themselves from worshiping her. One child said the following: “You are our God. Where could we have been without you?” Well, that went and did it, soon Madonna will be having her own temple, her own cult and most likely her own little band of extremists who impose the “good” faith upon all non-believers… and purge them of their previous sins. Joyous times a’comin!

  • Michael Jackson film was accidental

    The choreographer of the greatly anticipated “This is it!” movie, Kenny Ortega, admitted recently that the film was actually a mistake. He said the following about Michael Jackson’s last movie which was apparently made from private footage not meant for the public eye: “The recordings were made so we could use them, then the tapes were destined for Michael’s private library. They have a real unguarded honesty to them. At first I got so many messages from fans around the world asking to see the shows, asking to see the footage and eventually I realized the journey wasn’t over and we had to do this.” Really? That was a big surprise wasn’t it… not even Michael Jackson coming back from the grave would be as surprising. Who would’ve thought that the idea of making more money of off the guy even after he died came spontaneously after his death? Amazing!

  • Jermaine Jackson’s last wishes for his brother

    One of the late pop singer’s many brothers has recently requested that privacy be maintained regarding the death of his beloved brother, “the king of pop”, Michael Jackson. This is a part of a statement released to the press by Jermaine Jackson in regards to his brother’s death: “Our family requests that the media please respect our privacy during this tough time. May Allah be with you Michael, always.” Unfortunately, none of them is probably going to be getting their wish too soon as the media has been on top of this ever since the rumors of Michael Jackson’s death first appeared… and the situation will probably stay that way for good while now.

  • More of Adam Lambert Coming Out

    Adam Lambert has finally come out and he has some very wise words about his sexuality too. In his Rolling Stone interview, he said “There are so many old-fashioned ways of looking at things, and if we want to be a progressive society, we have to start thinking in a different way. There’s the old industry idea that you should just make sexuality a non-issue, just say your private life’s your private life, and not talk about it. But that’s bullshit, because private lives don’t exist anymore for celebrities: they just don’t. I don’t want to be looking over my shoulder all the time, thinking I have to hide, being scared of being found out, putting on a front, having a beard, going down the red carpet with some chick who is posing as my girlfriend. That’s not cool, that’s not being a rock star. I can’t do that.”

  • Madonna finally gets a new addition to the family:

    The singer who tried to get the approval to adopt little Malawian girl Mercy James finally broke through the authorities’ barrier and Mercy James will be going home with Madonna. A source said the following about Madonna’s appeal to adopt Mercy James: “The paperwork is being typed up now. All recommendations are in favor of the adoption taking place. Mercy should start packing her bags. She’s off to America.” Amazing! Another child saved from poverty and starvation! Madonna seems to be turning into quite the hero… or yet another xenomorph queen as some others one could mention.

  • Joe Jonas’ Beyonce impersonation

    It seems that the middle Jonas brother recently released an online spoof video for Beyonce’s “Single Ladies” song. Supposedly Joe Jonas can be seen wearing a black cat suit, high heels and lip-synching to Beyonce’s song. Why? Seriously, why is Joe Jonas doing this? Maybe he’s a big Vanilla Sky fan and wants to show homage to them? I understand they have the pressures of those chastity rings and their mother’s hopes of them staying virgins till they get married, but this is not a good sign at all. Really, this can lead to some very bad consequences for Joe Jonas and the Jonas Brothers band… worry, worry, worry here!

  • Danny Gokey’s scream defense

    The American Idol contestant recently shared his own impressions regarding his now famous Aerosmith scream. Danny Gokey said: “I listened to it back, and I have to say, I laughed the whole night. … My own aunt muted the TV. I heard people were making ringtones. … I think it’s my funniest moment on American Idol, is that note. … I definitely made a name for myself … I think it’ll be in movies pretty soon.” Yes, I can see it all right now. “Scream” will no longer be the trademark of a famous thriller movie, but the exciting story of the rise of a star: Danny Gokey’s moment of fame. Well, lucky for him he’ll get the chance to dazzle everyone once more next week… who knows, maybe he’ll even scream Adam Lambert out of the competition.
