    The faithful day when Amy Winehouse will finally get rid of her alcohol issues seems to be drawing closer and closer… actually, it’s getting pulled closer. Blake Fielder-Civil is apparently the latest addition to the list of people that have told Amy Winehouse to go to rehab. This is what a source related about their recently reconstructed relationship: “Amy is always telling Blake she wants to get married again but he’s saying not until she cleans up her act.” That’s one way to get out of commitment. If Blake Fielder-Civil was serious about that, he’s probably never going to marry Amy Winehouse again… or at least not in this dimension of reality.

  • Amy Winehouse’s guest for Jamaica

    It seems the singer would like to spice up her upcoming professional trip to Jamaica so she has decided to invite someone along for the ride. And who would be more welcome than good old Blake Fielder-Civil? This is what a source said about Amy Winehouse’s invite: “Amy and Blake want to spend some time together away from home where they have been governed by his curfew. She is desperate for him to join her and, of course, he wants a nice holiday and some fun. Friends have tried talking her out of it – but at the moment she’s more focused on work than she has been for ages.” Well, if Amy Winehouse is that focused on work, imagine how much more efficient she will be if she has Blake Fielder-Civil with her.     The singer who was performing in a boy band a long, long time ago has apparently found himself a new job. Since the days of glory of 98 Degrees have long since passed, Nick Lachey is going to be using his talents now to host a new singing competition called “The Sing-off” where contestants will be performing strictly a cappella. Nick Lachey said the following about his brand new show: “There is nowhere to hide when you’re doing an a cappella song. There’s no band behind you and dubbing. It’s just you. It’s just them naked on stage and what they have done to prepare is what will show through in that moment.” Not a very good choice of words there for Nick Lachey, but if that’s the description they’re going to go with for the show, the ratings will probably be very high for the first installment.

    On the more “unhappy” relationship side of the news, Janet Jackson has recently confirmed her splitting up from Jermaine Dupri. This is what Janet Jackson said about her relationship with Jermaine Dupri: “I’m not the type of girl that stays in touch with your ex like that. But Jermaine is one of my best friends. I love him to death. We’re still connected. We’re still good friends. We still talk.” There we go! Happy, happy, joy, joy, right? Well, for Janet Jackson anyway, Jermaine Dupri probably isn’t that excited about “just being friends”… no matter how close they are. Oh well, you win some, you lose many.

    It seems Leona Lewis was very concerned about working with Justin Timberlake on her new release as she considered the singer to bee too handsome for her to handle. This is what Leona Lewis said on the matter: “He is a beautiful boy and I was a bit worried about whether it would cloud my judgment over whether the song was good or not. But as soon as I met him that was over. He is so cool, such a nice guy, and I think we have a lot in common as we are both quite focused people.” Right… the “that was over” expression really hits the spot.   • Leona Lewis wants to be an older mother:

    On the subject of children, the recently assaulted singer admitted that it’s not really the proper time to be considering it. Leona Lewis said: “In the future definitely, but not within five years. I can see myself being an older mother. But I probably haven’t given it proper thought as it’s so far in the distance. I am a family person. But I say that and I am career driven as well! It’s like 50-50.” Well that can’t be good… you have to be in one place at a time, you can’t go on living separated between work and family.   • Chris Brown gets probation and community service

    It seems that Chris Brown’s fate has been decided a lot faster than expected and it is as follows: the singer will get five years of probation and one hundred and eighty days of community service after reaching a plea bargain in his recent hearing. His attorney stated: “He’s very thankful to all the people who’ve been very supportive. This is a kid who’s never been in trouble before, who wants to move past this and make sure that the message gets out that these kinds of things, of domestic violence, are not acceptable. And that he has accepted responsibility and continues to do so and embraces this as an opportunity for him to get his life back on track and his career back on track.” Chris Brown has not been in trouble before this? What kind of a rapper is he anyway? Still, I’m curious to see what community service he’ll be doing for that period because he has a lot of work on his hands.

    The singer who recently split from his wife, Katie Price, is apparently going to be buying a new house close to his old one in order to get the rights to the children. A source said the following about Peter Andre’s new home purchase: “Pete has found his dream home for him and the children. He spent a week house-hunting, but knew within seconds of seeing this place it was ideal.” The singer himself said the following to Katie Price about the house: “This is where I want the kids to be.” That’s probably just a pretext or a bonus.   • Pink likes singing break-up songs

    The singer recently admitted that, even though she and her husband Carey Hart are back together, she still enjoys performing the songs she wrote after they first split up. Pink said: “It’s funny to sing them now. Because he’s in the audience, so when I sing ‘He’s a tool,’ now that’s my favorite line. I’m like, ‘Hi honey, that’s you!’” That’s… reasonably cute. Still, it must suck a bit for Carey Hart, especially since he’s in the audience.   • Mariah Carey and Tom Jones’ resort show

    The two singers have apparently been booked to perform a show for the opening of a resort in Turkey and they will be receiving 1.5 million dollars for the performance. The resort belongs to Russian tycoon Telman Ismailov. A source close to him said the following about the performance Mariah Carey and Tom Jones are going to be doing: “Telman is not a man who hesitates when it comes to throwing big parties. He wants the opening of the hotel to be a major event and insisted Tom and Mariah be booked to perform, no matter what the cost.” It’s amazing what you can do with ambition and unlimited funds. Still, the real miracle will be if Tom Jones is going to be able to collaborate with the great diva Mariah Carey.
