    Actress Rachel Weisz has revealed that she is the happiest she has ever been since becoming a mum, and described motherhood as “just delicious”.

    The 39-year-old Oscar-winner, who has a three-year-old son Henry Chance with her director fiancé Darren Aronofsky, said: “It’s amazing and I’ve never been happier in my life. Being a mum is just delicious, and Henry is so scrumptious I could just eat him up.”

    The British actress, who plays a mother who falls apart after the murder of her daughter in new movie The Lovely Bones, said becoming a mother has made her more efficient.

    She said: “I’m sure a lot of mums say this but, oddly enough, I find I can get a lot more done since I had Henry.

    “You become better at managing your time. Suddenly, in 45 minutes, you can get twice as much done as you once did.”

    But despite her joy at becoming a mum, Weisz confessed that the demands of being a mother have made her want to pull her hair out at times.

    She said: “I think one of the things that mums aren’t allowed to talk about enough to one another… is the times when you’re pulling your hair out at home with the kids. Those moments when everything is crashing in and you just feel like you’re going to scream…”

    She added: “Because, even though children are the most precious things in the world, they are also set to test us. I think women are already stretched and pressured to be perfect and it kind of drives me crazy.”

    Oscar-winning actress Rachel Weisz puts her family before her acting career, she has revealed.

    Rachel, 39, is married to director Darren Aronofsky, and they have a son Henry Chance, almost three.

    She said: “I used to work back to back.”

    She added: “Now I do two projects a year and take a big break between them. I have to consider where I’m travelling to if Darren’s going to be working at the same time.”

    She added: “I filmed Agora in Malta for four months, and Darren edited there. I started and two weeks later, he came out with his editor.

    “Before that, we were both at home in New York.”

    She added: “So we’ve managed to keep the family together. And it works.”

  • Rachel Weisz to play Hedy Lamarr in movie about Hollywood glamour girl

    Brit actress Rachel Weisz is in talks to play screen legend Hedy Lamarr in Face Value, a movie about the film star’s life.

    The 38-year-old beauty is loosely attached to a new biopic about the Hollywood glamour girl who died at the age of 85 in 2000.

    Most famous for her role as Biblical temptress Delilah in Cecil B DeMille’s 1949 Samson and Delilah, Lamarr was one of the most glamorous actresses of her time.

    Born in what was then Austria-Hungary, the mother-of-three was married six times and celebrated for her beauty.

    But she was also an accomplished scientist who helped to create a method of changing frequencies that was a forerunner to modern wireless communication.

    It’s Lamarr’s scientific brain that will be the primary focus of Face Value.

    Weisz was not the only actress considered for the lead role.

    Oscar-winner Charlize Theron’s name was also connected with the project according to The Hollywood Reporter.
