Palin among Walters’ 10 most fascinating people
Barbara Walters will feature the Jackson children, Sarah Palin and Kate Gosselin on her TV special The 10 Most Fascinating People of 2009.
Whether or not Prince Michael I, Paris Katherine and Blanket have been interviewed for the program is not known.
The children, who are evidently being counted as one person, were shielded from the spotlight after their father Michael died suddenly in June.
Other picks are Lady GaGa, Adam Lambert, Glenn Beck, Tyler Perry, Brett Favre and South Carolina governor’s wife Jenny Sanford.
Veteran fireside journalist Walters has kept the tenth interview a secret. But it won’t be US President Barack Obama, as he filled the mystery slot in last year’s edition.
The program will air on ABC on December 9.

This Is It director Kenny Ortega pulled out of remake of Footloose
This Is It director Kenny Ortega has said he pulled out of the remake of Footloose because he needed a break after shooting the Jacko movie.
The 59-year-old was set to direct the remake of the 1984 flick, but he said the Jackson movie wasn’t planned and he needed a break after making it.
Talking about his departure from the film, he said: “It was not planned. None of this [This Is It film] was happening when I started working on Footloose with Paramount.
“I honestly love the team I was working with on it – Craig Zadan, Brad Weston, Neil Meron and Dylan Sellers, the actors. It had been a wonderful couple of years developing the idea but I really need to take a break.
“I wish them all the luck in the world.”

Michael Jackson Will Forged
Randy Jackson is saying that Michael Jackson’s will is a fake. Rumors persist that the King of Pop did not sign his will which was dated July 7, 2002 as the late singer was apparently across the country in New York and the document alludes to Los Angeles. Randy says that he can prove that Michael was in New York on that day, protesting against Sony exec Tommy Mottola as he was prejudice against African American artists. The lawyer for the Jackson estate, Howard Weitzman claims that witnesses to the will were present when Michael signed it but he would not verify if it was in LA.

Michael Jackson film was accidental
The choreographer of the greatly anticipated “This is it!” movie, Kenny Ortega, admitted recently that the film was actually a mistake. He said the following about Michael Jackson’s last movie which was apparently made from private footage not meant for the public eye: “The recordings were made so we could use them, then the tapes were destined for Michael’s private library. They have a real unguarded honesty to them. At first I got so many messages from fans around the world asking to see the shows, asking to see the footage and eventually I realized the journey wasn’t over and we had to do this.” Really? That was a big surprise wasn’t it… not even Michael Jackson coming back from the grave would be as surprising. Who would’ve thought that the idea of making more money of off the guy even after he died came spontaneously after his death? Amazing!

Michael Jackson Tribute on Dancing with the Stars
Dancing with the Stars is reportedly planning an hour long tribute to the late singer Michael Jackson. They did such a great job when they honored Patrick Swayze, I hope that they’ll do the same for the King of Pop. The 16 professional dancers in the competition will perform special choreographed numbers in tribute to the music, dancing and life of Michael. The piece is being described as a “fusion of classic ballroom and Latin styles”, all performed to classic MJ tunes. There’s no word yet on when the special will air though. I can’t wait to watch and see what they’ve come up with.

Michael Jackson estate to pay Paul Anka half song’s profits

Michael Jackson’s estate will pay half of the profits it reaps from his new song, This Is It, to Paul Anka.

Anka hit the airwaves immediately after the song’s release yesterday to claim his authorship as a co-writer with Jackson of a song with the title I Never Heard in the 1980s.

This Is It is a prelude to a movie and a two-disc album of the same title due out on October 26.

Anka, who declared the track was “exactly the same song” as I Never Heard, threatened to sue before the estate’s executors moved to assuage him. “We acknowledge that Michael and Paul wrote this song together,” said John Branca.

John McClain, the estate’s other executor and a co-producer of the album, said of the song: “[It] only defines, once again, what the world already knows – that Michael is one of God’s greatest gifts.”

Michael Jackson’s Tomb Guards
For several weeks, Michael Jackson’s tomb at Forest Lawn Memorial Park was under maximum round the clock security. It’s now being said that the extra protection has been scaled back. Sources say that the mausoleum that house’s the late singer’s body was being monitored by a private security firm hired specifically to protect the King of Pop’s grave. As of last week, the extra protection was nowhere to be seen. Sources at Forest Lawn confirm the security change but insist that Michael’s resting place will still be under constant watch of the guards under their employment, 24-hour cameras and alarms.

Michael Jackson’s Guitar Goddess Orianthi Readies Debut Album
Introducing Orianthi, the guitar phenomenon who is featured prominently in the upcoming Michael Jackson concert documentary, This Is It. Already a renowned musician, Orianthi has been playing guitar since the age of eleven and was discovered by legend Carlos Santana. After playing with artists like Carrie Underwood, ZZ Top, and Prince, she received a MySpace message from Michael Jackson’s musical director asking her to audition for his comeback tour. Following a test run with the King of Pop himself, she was selected as his lead guitarist for his O2 arena dates in London – a crowning acheivement for the 24 year old from Adelaide, Australia.
Now Orianthi is preparing to release her solo debut album, Believe, on October 27th. In addition to her talent at guitar, Orianthi has a gorgeous voice and even sang at Michael Jackson’s Staples Center memorial service. Even before starting rehearsals for his tour though, she was hard at work writing and recording the album with her band. Believe is full of anthemic rock tracks with a sound reminiscent of Paramore or Evanescence, but entirely Orianthi thanks to her signature shreds and thunderous hooks. Her first single, “According to You” is a catchy tale of an ungrateful boyfriend, featuring a killer guitar solo.
To hear the story in her own words, watch Orianthi in this segment from Australia’s Today show. Visit Orianthi.com for updates on this rising star, and be sure to check her out in This Is It out on October 28th.

Dame Elizabeth steps out in public for Aids gala

Dame Elizabeth Taylor, 77, made a rare public appearance on stage at a gala Aids benefit, using the event to pay tribute to Michael Jackson.
“I just want to say one thing,” Taylor told the crowd at the annual Macy’s Passport Fashion Show in Santa Monica. “As my beloved friend Michael said, ‘We are the world.’”
Dame Elizabeth appeared on a blackened stage in a luminous gown and a wheelchair.
Jackson’s favourite charity was Aids Project Los Angeles. Also appearing was La Toya Jackson, his sister, who said: “You have to continue, and I think a good way to continue on my behalf is giving to one of the charities that Michael gave to. And he gave so dearly and wonderfully to AIDS Project LA, and I want to continue that.”
The benefit aims to raise $1 million for Aids and HIV organisations in Los Angeles, with Sharon Stone in dazzling form taking to the mike to encourage donations.
Kathy Ireland said:”We’re excited by the news today about the vaccine. We’re encouraged. There’s hope. But it’s not been eradicated.”
Dame Elizabeth, who no longer makes public appearances, thanked those in attendance with a promise to be back next year.

Mark Lester, the godfather of Michael Jackson’s children, said:

Mark Lester, the godfather of Michael Jackson’s children, has said he is “not pushing for any DNA tests” to see if he is the father of Michael’s daughter, Paris.
Mark, 51, recently came out and said that he had donated sperm to the 50-year-old star and that he believed he could be the father of his 11-year-old daughter Paris.
Mark recently confirmed that he is still close with the family and is not demanding a DNA test.
He said: “Look, I’m not pushing for any DNA tests. The family has been under enough pressure since Michael died and I just want things to settle down.
“Contrary to reports, I was invited to his funeral recently, but I couldn’t go for business reasons and hopefully I will be able to fly over at Christmas time and pay my respects privately.”
Mark said that he is still in contact with one of Michael’s family members. He said: “I’m still in touch with Randy Jackson whom I have known for a very long time, and we both respect one another. To suggest that there is a rift between myself and the Jackson family is just not true.”

Debbie Rowe reported to have ratted on Klein
It was Debbie Rowe who reported the dermatologist Arnold Klein for supplying Michael Jackson with drugs, sources reveal.
Rowe, mother of two of Jackson’s children, posed as an anonymous informant when she contacted police to tell them Jackson was using aliases to obtain drugs through her old boss.
Klein brought the pair together when the singer met the former dermatology nurse at Klein’s Los Angeles practice.
Britain’s Sun newspaper claims court papers show detectives received a tip-off from “an unknown female caller” who revealed Jackson used the names Omar Arnold, Fernand Diaz, Peter Madonie and Josephine Baker when he saw Klein.
Police found a prescription issued by Klein for an Omar Arnold when they searched Jacko’s LA mansion after his death in June. Many other aliases also reportedly surfaced during the inquiry.
Sources told The Sun: “Rowe holds Klein totally responsible for Jackson’s drug addiction. She believes there is no way he could have got hooked without the help of Klein – and she is potentially the only one who can prove it. She must have suspected what was going on for years.
“She could really put the boot into Klein and she has good reason to. It makes her skin crawl to think Klein is the biological father of her kids, like reports suggest.”
Klein, meanwhile, is said to have evaded an order to provide medical records to investigators. The 48-year-old treated the king of pop for 20 years. The Sun has claimed Jackson’s personal doctor Conrad Murray called Klein in the 90 minutes after Murray said he had found Jackson not breathing.

Michael Jackson Autopsy Report Complete
The Los Angeles County coroner has finally come to a conclusion about the cause of Michael Jackson’s death. However, the wait continues for everyone that’s curious as the records will remain sealed until the LAPD have finished their investigation of the singer’s death. The coroner’s office has declined to comment over their findings about the King of Pop’s autopsy so the speculation continues for everyone else. The LAPD has also come out with a statement saying that they asked the coroner’s office to keep the results sealed. So if you’re dying of curiosity already, blame the LAPD for it. I hope they finish the investigation already.

Michael Jackson’s Live In Doctor Target for Manslaughter Charge
Dr. Conrad Murray is now officially the target of a manslaughter investigation into the death of the King of Pop Michael Jackson. A search warrant authorizing the seizure of documents at a storage locker in Houston says law enforcement was hunting for “items constituting evidence of the offense of manslaughter that tend to show that Dr. Conrad Murray committed the said criminal offense.” The person who runs the facility says people from the shady doctor’s office visited the storage locker six times recently, the last time being the morning of the iconic singer’s death. All signs are pointing to Dr. Murray as the suspect after allegedly giving Michael a lethal dose of the anaesthesia Propofol.

Elizabeth Taylor snubbed by Jackson family over friend Michael’s memorial service

Michael Jackson’s closest friend Elizabeth Taylor did not go to his memorial service because she was snubbed by the star’s family, it was claimed.Taylor publicly said she did not want to go as she intended mourning privately for the late King of Pop.
But columnist Cindy Adams claims that the actress did not go after the family refused to invite her to any of the private events.
“Elizabeth Taylor was snubbed. Not accidentally. Deliberately. Willfully. Given short shrift. Put on the B-Minus list,” Cindy Adams wrote in the New York Post.
“Understand, as I’d reported before his death, she’s confined to a wheelchair. “Still, despite her physicality, with staffers and nurses and assistants and whoevers, she was flying to London for his concert opening.
“Hopping a ride on the private plane of my friends, publisher Dwight Opperman and his author wife Julie Chrystyn. So, when it comes to Michael, she sure wasn’t looking to hide.
“The family purposefully dissed her. Didn’t want her. Offered her a seat someplace in the Staples Center, but not with them.
“Not near them. Nor was the world’s most famous name given an invite or access to any of their private events. Not one.
“Why? Because she was always Michael’s friend. Not the family’s. Michael’s. They resented her.
“Elizabeth Taylor was crushed. She’s still crying.”

‘Weird Al’ Jankovic says he owes his career to Michael Jackson
Comedian ‘Weird Al’ Jankovic says he owes his entire career to Michael Jackson.
The funnyman achieved massive fame after covering Jacko’s Beat It tune and changing it to Eat it.
“He basically changed me from an unknown into a guy that got recognised at Burger King,” Jankovic told Rolling Stone magazine.
“I considered parodying Black or White around that time, but Michael wasn’t quite so into it, because he thought it was more of a message song.”

Elizabeth Taylor denies she was also a patient of Michael Jackson’s doctor
The doctor at the centre of an investigation into Michael Jackson’s death did not treat his friend and screen legend Elizabeth Taylor.
Dr Conrad Murray, who was Jacko’s 24-7 physician at the time of his death, was rumoured to have also treated the actress.
But the veteran actress, who has been hospitalised many times over the years, moved quickly to stamp out the report that a close friend of Murray’s said he had also been her doctor.
A Taylor representative said the story was: “A blank blank blank lie.”
Reverend Floyd Williams is the friend of Murray’s who alleged he was with Murray in his Houston office in early May when the doctor received a phone call from Taylor’s secretary.
He claimed: “I was sitting right there with him when the telephone rang, and I’ll tell you we were in the middle of talking about him going on tour (with Jackson).
“Then Miss Elizabeth Taylor herself got on the telephone! On the telephone with Dr. Murray! Miss Elizabeth Taylor! Now how about that!”
Williams alleged that Taylor wanted Murray to be her personal doctor in London, where Jackson was set to play 50 concert dates and to have Murray in attendance.

Private Michael Jackson Memorial
Before the public viewing and star-studded memorial this past Tuesday, family and friends of Michael Jackson gathered at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Los Angeles on Monday night and early Tuesday morning. Over a thousand guests were said to have attended the private memorial. The evening service was held in a large auditorium at Forest Lawn and featured a closed casket. It has already been two weeks since his passing but I still can’t get a firm grasp that a great music icon has been taken from us. Rest in peace Michael. You will be greatly missed. May the music of the King of Pop live on.

Judge rules against Jacko’s mother in battle for control over superstar’s estate

A Los Angeles judge has denied Katherine Jackson’s petition for control over her late son’s estate – ruling in favour of Jackson’s long-time lawyer and a family friend. At the Los Angeles Superior Court today, Judge Mitchell Beckloff ruled that lawyer John Branca and music executive John McClain should be the conservators of Jackson’s estate.
The superstar’s mother, who did not appear at the hearing, had filed an application to be the conservator of the pop legend’s estate before a will emerged, which was drafted in 2002, stating that Branca and McClain would be in control of the estate in the event of Jackson’s death.
Lawyers for Katherine Jackson wanted Judge Beckloff to delay the decision, as they said the family were concerned about Branca’s relationship with the singer before he died.
One of Katherine Jackson’s lawyers, John Schreiber, argued that he was suspicious that Branca had rejoined Jackson just weeks before the singer’s death, and claimed that Branca is unfit to look after the estate – which is estimated to be worth around $500m – because he suffers from a disability.
But Judge Beckloff refused Schrieber’s claims and ruled in favour of Jackson’s will.
A bond has been set at $1m to protect the estate in the event the administrators waste or misspend assets.

Michael Jackson Nanny Speaks Out
The nanny who took care of Michael Jackson’s three kids says that reports that she pumped the late King of Pop’s stomach several times are not true. Grace Rwaramba responded to the rumors by posting on the website of her close friend, Mallika Chopra, the daughter of the singer’s confidant Deepak Chopra. Grace wrote “I am shocked, hurt and deeply saddened by recent statements the press has attributed to me, in particular, the outrageous and patently false claim that I ‘routinely pumped his stomach after he had ingested a dangerous combination of drugs.’ I don’t even know how to pump a stomach!!”

Michael Jackson’s tour promoter says he insisted on having a 24/7 doctor like Obama
Michael Jackson was insistent about taking his personal doctor with him on his doomed London tour despite being advised against it, says promoter Randy Phillips.
Phillips, who is chief executive of AEG Live, the company behind the 50-concert series, was with Jackson when he was in a state of cardiac arrest.
He told Britain’s Sky News that he advised the singer against bringing Conrad Murray, a trained cardiologist, due to the cost. “Michael told me, ‘You don’t understand. My body is the machine that fuels this business and I need personal care and I want a doctor 24/7 like President Obama would have, and this is my doctor’.”
Phillips said Jackson told him Murray had been his doctor for three years. He said Jackson insisted on having him on staff throughout the rehearsals and the run of upcoming UK shows.
Phillips said he was outside the hospital room while Jackson was being worked on for an hour-and-a-half – and that it seemed an eternity.
“I was sitting in a chair right outside the … operating room, and there was tons of activity, and they were trying to resuscitate him and save him and working really hard, the doctors, nurses, everybody … I sat there … it seemed, honestly, it seemed like an eternity. But it took about an hour, an hour-and a-half before the nurse came out and told [manager] Frank [DiLeo] and I that there was no hope.”
He said it was Murray who broke the devastating news of Jackson’s death to the megastar’s three children.
“I stood at the doorway when they went in and they told them and just the look of fear in their faces … it was hard,” Phillips said. “I’ll think about that the rest of my life. But they seem to be doing really well now.”
