  • Former Baywatch bombshell Nicole Eggert piled on the pounds after father’s death

    RE 270906 A

Former Baywatch bombshell Nicole Eggert reportedly piled on the pounds after struggling to cope with the death of her father.

The petite blonde, who famously strutted her stuff as Summer Quinn alongside Pamela Anderson in the iconic TV show, has opened up about her weight battle ahead of taking part in the new season of VH1’s Celebrity Fit Club.

Recent photographs of Nicole, 38, left her almost unrecognisable to fans, after she gained two stone in weight.

Her mother Georgina Eggert says the over-eating habit was sparked by a family tragedy which devastated Nicole to the point where she would not get out of bed.

“When her father died it took a lot out of her,” Georgina told Radaronline. “It’s been two years, but she was really bummed out and stressed about her dad. She spent a lot of time in bed.”

Nicole’s father Ralph passed away after a short battle with cancer.

Her mum added: “On anybody else the weight gain wouldn’t have been as noticeable. She wasn’t really that heavy, but she was on Baywatch and everyone expected her to still be that. She’s not 18 any more.”

The first episode of Celebrity Fit Club premiered in the US on Monday night. Georgina says her daughter has already come a long way since it was filmed. “She’s lost the weight. She looks great,” she said.

    SPL118464_020

Hollywood star Brad Pitt has spoken out for the first time about his recent motorbike accident.

The hunky actor took a tumble off his custom-made favourite bike in Los Angeles as he tried to squeeze between a car and a van.

The bike had to be towed away from the scene, but Pitt escaped the fall injury free.

Now Pitt has revealed the only hurt in the spill was his ego as he spoke about the accident while promoting his movie Inglourious Basterds in Tokyo.

He said: “I had a little mishap. No injuries, except my ego. I was trying to get away from some paparazzi and instead gave them a good story.

“It was my favorite bike, so that is really sad.”

But, Pitt added, he is already looking for another bike to add to his collection.

He said: “I will definitely be looking at motorcycles. You’ve got some of the best builders right here.”

  • Catherine Zeta-Jones said she thinks turning 40 will be a “huge change career-wise”

    SPL33978_006

Hollywood actress Catherine Zeta-Jones said she thinks turning 40 will be a “huge change career-wise”.

Catherine will turn 40 on September 25 and she said it will be a big difference for her movie career.

The Welsh actress moved to Bermuda with her husband Michael and children Dylan, nine, and Carys, six, and said it was a good move.

She said: “When you live in LA you can’t go anywhere without being critiqued – on your purse or the fact that you have gained weight or that you have got spots on your face.”

Catherine added: “That’s not the life I want. Deciding to live in beautiful Bermuda was the healthiest thing Michael and I ever did.”

Catherine will soon turn 40 and her husband Michael will turn 65 on the same day and talking about the milestone, she said: “I feel much younger than I am. When you are 10 or 20, 40 looks really old. When I was nearing 30 that seemed like a major milestone. Now I think it will be a huge change career-wise.

“I’m going into a different chapter as an actor. I’m not going to play the ingenues but I’m not going to play the mother of teenagers, either.”

  • Hollywood actor Ethan Hawke says it’s a childhood ambition to perform at Old Vic

Hollywood actor Ethan Hawke says he is fulfilling a childhood ambition to perform at London’s Old Vic.

The 38-year-old movie star is taking to the stage in London in The Cherry Orchard and The Winter’s Tale.

He said: “I remember, for my 16th birthday, my mother gave me Laurence Olivier’s autobiography or his book on acting, and it was chock-a-block full of stories from The Old Vic and I think it implanted in my brain the dream scenario so to actually be walking those halls is a lot of fun.”

Hawke said he loves London: “There is something magic about this city. I have been here, but just travelling on business, and so to actually be here and to be doing theatre in a city that cares so much about theatre, it is everything I dreamed it would be.”

He added: “Movies are wonderful because so many people see them and it is really the art form of our time. But for me, it is so much more difficult to act in a play and so much more challenging, and in turn, it’s so much more rewarding,” he added.

  • Jackson’s ex-wife Debbie Rowe claims he did not sire two oldest kids

Michael Jackson did not father his two oldest children, says his former wife Debbie Rowe.

Just days after the singer’s death, Rowe has made the shocking admission that even though she offered him her womb to carry the children, his sperm was not used in the process.

In an astonishing interview, published in the UK’s News of the World, Rowe, mother of Prince, 12, and Paris, 11 – said she was artificially inseminated by an anonymous donor.

And she told how, despite Jackson’s death, she does not want custody of the children and never expects to see them again.

Speaking from her home, Rowe said: “Michael was divorced, lonely and wanted children. I was the one who said to him: ‘I will have your babies’. I offered him my womb – it was a gift. It was something I did to keep him happy … I was just the vessel. It wasn’t Michael’s sperm. I got paid for it, and I’ve moved on. I know I will never see my children again.”

No longer shackled by a legal agreement between the pair, Rowe says of her impregnation at a medical clinic: “Just like I stick the sperm up my horse, this is what they did to me. I was his thoroughbred.”

She said the birth of the second child, Paris, was difficult, and she ended up unable to have any more babies: “The delivery was so hard. My insides were all torn up and I was barren. When he knew I couldn’t have any more babies he [Jackson] didn’t want anything to do with me.”

She said: “I was never a good mother, I never felt any attachment to them. It was a better feeling giving them to him than it was keeping them as my own … I was never cut out to be a mother – I was no good. I don’t want these children in my life.”
