    Chemistry between Kate Hudson and Gerard Butler is among delayed buzz from the Golden Globes.

    Hudson, in a tight sculpted gown that mirrored her latest elaborate red-carpet wear, must have caught the eye of the Scottish movie hunk. At the very least.

    But according to those in the know, sparks flew. Tabloid America says sources report Butler was all eyes for Hudson and would not leave a pre-Globes gathering without getting her number.

    Us Weekly magazine reports: “Gerard told Kate she was the most beautiful girl in the room and that he adores her work. He was really locked in on her.”

    Hudson has very recently broken up with baseball star Alex “A-Rod” Rodriguez.

  • Katherine Heigl admits new movie is chick-flick with appeal to guys

    The Ugly Truth star Katherine Heigl has admitted her new movie is a chick-flick that will appeal to guys too.

    Katherine, 30, who is married to singer-songwriter Josh Kelley, 29, admitted she was “sick” of husband moaning about going to see rom-com movies. The actress stars in the new movie alongside Scottish hunk Gerard Butler.

    Talking about the film being cruder than other chick flicks, she said: “Yes, we sort of took that risk and wanted to do something that would appeal to men as well.

    “And I was sick of my own husband complaining about going with me to chick-flicks. And you can do a movie about relationships that men relate to as well – we don’t have to just do this sort of Prince Charming thing.

    “I mean I always love a good Prince Charming kind of fairytale movie and I’ll go to every single one ever made, but I think we can still tell stories about relationships without completely turning guys off.”

  • Gerard Butler says he wasn’t getting cosy with co-star Jennifer Aniston

    Scottish hunk Gerard Butler has hit back at claims he is seeing co-star Jennifer Aniston, saying he only spoke to her for four minutes before rumours they were dating emerged.

    The 39-year-old is currently filming The Bounty with the Friends star.

    Butler said: “In the last year, there have probably been rumours of ten different women I’m supposed to be involved with. I think maybe one is true.

    “You can walk around with a hundred of your buddies and it’s cool, but the second there’s a woman involved… But the new one is Jennifer Aniston. It’s because she’s single and I’m single.

    “The sum total of our conversation was about four minutes at the Toronto Film Festival.

    “The next day, the story is: ‘Gerry Butler and Jennifer Aniston get cosy at the Toronto Film Festival.’ Cosy? We were standing up and surrounded by 40 people.”

    Before becoming Hollywood’s latest leading man, the Scot was heading for a legal career.

    Butler’s legal career was cut short and his transition to actor eased when he was fired from a law firm a week before he was supposed to qualify as a lawyer.

    He was sacked during the Edinburgh Festival when his mind was on things other than work.

    “I became quite infamous in Scottish legal circles,” he says. It’s very difficult to be fired as a trainee lawyer – they just don’t qualify you at the end of two years. But they actually fired me one week before I was due to qualify.”
