  • Zoe Saldana says she ‘can’t live without’ sex

    SPL163189_024

Avatar star Zoë Saldana has turned the air blue by admitting that she “loves” sex, “can’t live without it”, and won’t rule out filming an X-rated scene.

The cheeky 31-year-old makes her comments in the latest issue of Essence – a US magazine.

Running through the A to Z of her life, Saldana said the letter S is for sex.

“Love it, love it, love it,” she says in the April issue. “Can’t live without it.

“I love sex. I love skin. I don’t believe the body is something to hide.

“I think in American society we’re messing up our kids by taking away the education on and awareness of our sexuality and replacing it with violence, guns and video games – and we’re breeding little criminals.”

And, asked whether she would ever do a graphic sex scene, Saldana says: “If you asked a painter, ‘Are you going to paint in red?’ the answer would be, ‘I’m going to paint paintings and if one day there is red in it, there’s red in it’.”

The actress, who stars in upcoming movie The Losers, has been with her actor boyfriend Keith Britton for a decade, but says she is not the romantic type.

“I’m more of a punch-drunk-love kind of girl. I mean punch as in that pow, that jolt, that kick in the gut. I like things that are severe, passionate and extreme.”

  • Hugh Jackman joins Steven Spielberg for a blockbuster described as Rocky with robots

    SPL136960_004

Wolverine star Hugh Jackman is joining forces with Steven Spielberg for a blockbuster described as Rocky with robots.

The Australian actor has been signed up by the director’s DreamWorks studio for Real Steel, its first big film since new funding brought it back to life after financial problems last year.

Directed by Shawn Levy, of Night at the Museum, the picture will see Jackman as a former boxer reinventing himself as the promoter for a fighting robot in a future where machines take over from humans in the ring.

It is a recurring theme for Spielberg, who has explored the subject of technology taking over from humans in the likes of Minority Report and A.I.: Artificial Intelligence.

According to Variety, the ‘Rocky-esque’ film has been described by Levy as a “rousing sports movie” with Jackman’s character “a former boxer who can no longer do the only job he’s good at, and one particular robot that may be his return to grace”.

Jackman will reportedly play a struggling robot boxing promoter who finds a discarded robot that always seems to win.

He also discovers he has a 11-year-old son, and they bond as the robot brawls its way toward the top.

Production on the film, which is based on a short story, is set to start in June.

  • Bruce Willis to team up with Arnie and Sly in big action flick

Film legends Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bruce Willis and Sylvester Stallone are set to share the screen for the first time in what could be the greatest ever action-movie scene.

The ageing trio have starred in some of the best-loved action movies of the 1980s and 1990s, and even opened the Planet Hollywood chain together – but they have never appeared in a film together.

Now Willis has revealed that they are apparently set to hook up for Stallone’s latest flick, the ultra-violent, star-studded action film, The Expendables, which already features an ensemble cast including Jason Statham, Mickey Rourke, Jet Li and Dolph Lundgren.

The Die Hard star told MTV news that he will be joining Stallone and Schwarzenegger to shoot a very special scene for the flick.

“I’m waiting for a call from Sly about when we’re going to try and make that happen,” he said.

“I don’t know anything about [my character] yet… But I’m excited about it,” Willis added.

The film is due to be released in the US next April.

  • Hollywood couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are reportedly thinking about teaming up again for a sequel to Mr and Mrs Smith

Hollywood couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are reportedly thinking about teaming up again for a sequel to Mr and Mrs Smith.

Brad, 45, and Angelina, 33, met on-set of the film in 2005 and it is now claimed they are thinking of a sequel to the assassin flick.

The pair have reportedly spoken to the film’s screenwriter about a sequel and reports say they want it to focus on their characters’ married life with their children.

A family pal said: “They’re hoping lightning will strike twice and they can re-spark the magnetism that captivated them five years ago.”

The pal added to The National Enquirer: “The romantic action film was penned by screenwriter Simon Kinberg. He’s become close friend of the couple, and Brad’s asked him to write the Mr & Mrs Smith sequel.”

  • Harry Potter actor Jason Isaacs says fans would have braved an earthquake to attend the film premiere

Harry Potter actor Jason Isaacs thinks fans of the film would have turned out for the premiere even if there were “earthquakes and tornadoes”.

Isaacs, who plays the role of evil Death Eater Lucius Malfoy, was at the UK film premiere of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince where it rained heavily and there was a thunderstorm.

However, many fans still braved the weather to attend and Isaacs said: “Frankly I think they would turn out in earthquakes and tornadoes.

“That’s the effect the Harry Potter stories have. A lot of people have tried to understand why, but nobody really understands. It’s magic.”

The film’s lead star Daniel Radcliffe, 19, was soaked by the downpour, which reports say was three months’ rain in three hours.

  • Tom Hanks: I’m no longer insecure about my acting

Hanks, 52, who is starring in the Angels & Demons and has previously won two Best Actor Oscars, said: “I no longer feel insecure about my acting. Early on I took any job that was offered, milking it for the money. I had no idea what I was doing – that’s when insecurity and self-loathing start.”

He added to the UK’s Radio Times magazine: “At least I don’t have problems with my physical appearance any more. After a while you have to give up being vain.

“For a long time I wouldn’t wear a hat because I thought it looked stupid. But guess what? This is what I look like in a hat, so who cares? In Angels & Demons I have to wear a Speedo to go swimming. It takes a real man to slap on a Speedo and say: ‘I’m ready for work.’”

“And my face – from one side it’s decent, from the other it’s as if someone carved a pumpkin. But this is the way I look, and I’m in the finest, most rewarding, artistic job.”
