  • Sarah Harding living the dream

The singer from Girls Aloud has recently been given the chance to live out her dream: Sarah Harding will be staring in the movie “St. Trinian’s 2: The Legend of Fritton’s Gold”. This is what she said about this golden opportunity: “I’m just enjoying every minute of it at the moment. I’m getting to live out my fantasies. I’ve lived out my dream doing the singing and I never thought I’d get into doing the acting side of it as well, which is amazing. I’m very honoured and grateful that they are giving me a chance.” Why is it that every singer dreams of being an actor and most actors get into singing careers too? What happened to being thankful for what you have? What if Sarah Harding’s acting career gets the better of her? Won’t Girls Aloud be missing her?

  • Hollywood actor Ethan Hawke says it’s a childhood ambition to perform at Old Vic

Hollywood actor Ethan Hawke says he is fulfilling a childhood ambition to perform at London’s Old Vic.

The 38-year-old movie star is taking to the stage in London in The Cherry Orchard and The Winter’s Tale.

He said: “I remember, for my 16th birthday, my mother gave me Laurence Olivier’s autobiography or his book on acting, and it was chock-a-block full of stories from The Old Vic and I think it implanted in my brain the dream scenario so to actually be walking those halls is a lot of fun.”

Hawke said he loves London: “There is something magic about this city. I have been here, but just travelling on business, and so to actually be here and to be doing theatre in a city that cares so much about theatre, it is everything I dreamed it would be.”

He added: “Movies are wonderful because so many people see them and it is really the art form of our time. But for me, it is so much more difficult to act in a play and so much more challenging, and in turn, it’s so much more rewarding,” he added.
