    David and Victoria Beckham own an art collection worth a reported $50m.

    According to reports, the couple, who now live in Los Angeles, have been adding to their “love-themed” collection over the past eight years and reportedly own paintings and sculptures by several British artists including Damien Hirst and Tracey Emin.

    A source said to UK newspaper, the Daily Mirror: “Victoria is a mover and shaker in more upmarket circles nowadays and likes being a ‘collector’.

    “She is even in talks with a museum to showcase some of their pieces – all of which are love tokens, presents David or Victoria gave to each other for birthdays, Christmas and special anniversaries.”

    The source added: “One of the works is a Hirst bull’s heart enshrined in silver with scalpels exploding from it. Another, given from David to Victoria for Christmas, is an Emin-designed strip of neon lights spelled out to read ‘Forever yours’.”

    The Departed star Mark Wahlberg has revealed he thinks David Beckham has “ruined the neighbourhood”.

    The actor thinks the soccer star has been nothing but a nuisance since making the big move from the UK to Los Angeles. Sources say Wahlberg has recently made his opinion of the Beckhams public, saying that they’ve “ruined the neighbourhood”.

    The Beckhams purchased a home in Beverly Hills close to Mark and his family, which he claims was a quiet neighbourhood prior to the famous Brits moving to town.

    Wahlberg has said: “Man, the Beckhams. It used to be so quiet on my road. Then David moves in with his family. Suddenly we’ve got paparazzi hanging out day and night. Now they’ll follow any car that drives down the road…”

    And it’s not just paparazzi he has problems with, it’s football. “I’m not telling Beckham to take his family home,” says Wahlberg.

    “I’m just not sure why he came to America in the first place. Man, we don’t want your soccer. There’s no way Americans are going to buy the idea of 90 minutes of running around without much happening. Thanks for trying, guys, but we’ll stick to baseball and basketball.”
