Hunky duo Kevin Bacon and Jonathan Rhys Meyers are teaming up for a fishy new comedy.

The pair will star in Whole Lotta Sole, which is set to film in Belfast, Ireland, in 2010.

The movie finds Rhys Meyers playing a thief whose attempt to plunder a fish market leads him to take Bacon’s character hostage.

Rhys Meyers has to stay one step ahead of both the police and a local gangster.

Jay Russell has also signed on to direct a script written by Terry George, who wrote Hotel Rwanda.

Russell said: “This is a great comedy project, not like Terry’s usual political fare.

“It’s very exciting to have one of the best young actors today, Jonathan Rhys Meyers, teamed up with one of the greats, Kevin Bacon.”

British stars Sophie Okonedo and James Nesbitt, who co-starred alongside Rhys Meyers in Match Point, will co-star.

So to promote the movie’s opening, the star has decided to host a roller-skating premiere.

The event will be held at the Bonaventure Skating Centre in Farmington Hills, Michigan, on 11 September, and Barrymore’s co-stars and fellow skaters Ellen Page and Juliette Lewis are also expected to attend.

But the Grey Gardens star, 34, is staying tight-lipped about whether boyfriend Justin Long will be there.

  • Robin Williams to undergo heart surgery

What started as an exciting and successful one-man comedy tour dubbed “Weapons of Self-Destruction” for Robin Williams ended in a somehow sour note as doctors advised him to cancel the remainder of the tour to undergo heart surgery for aortic valve replacement. The 57-year old actor-comedian was so upbeat weeks ago as he started his tour but took a rest after suffering from what was labeled as sheer exhaustion. Robin Williams has already started his 80-city tour last September and was so excited since it had been a sold-out.

A statement from Robin Williams said he was so touched by the support and well wished from everyone. He said that the tour has been amazingly fun and after a little tune up he will get back on the road again. Robin Williams was already feeling the tell-tale signs of his illness when four of his shows were canceled earlier this week after he experienced shortness of breath. It turned out it was already a warning that something was wrong with him. Robin Williams’ show is expected to resume after a few months and all the tickets will be honored or refunded.
