  • Russell Brand: Katy Perry put an end to my womanising

    Russell Brand has poked fun at his skirt-chasing image by posing for the cover of a magazine surrounded by scantily clad women, but he insists that Katy Perry is the only girl for him.

    The British comedian is pictured lying on a bed in the middle of a group of lingerie-clad women for the cover of Complex magazine.

    But in an interview inside, he tells the US magazine that he was “nervous” on his first date with the pop star because he felt he was “falling in love” with her.

    The Get Him To The Greek star, 34, said: “When we went for a date, I was nervous. Normally, I’m good at first dates… But everything I was saying was falling flat.

    “I used to take drugs in the past, and there was a little bit where it felt like I took too much acid or too much coke or something… and I had to sort of ground myself, ’cause I felt like I was falling in love with her really quickly.”

    Brand, who turns 35 on Friday, also revealed that his 25-year-old fiancée quickly put an end to his womanising ways.

    He said: “From that first date, I didn’t return another call to another girl… didn’t mess around with anybody at all… But [before Katy] I’d never met anyone before where I thought, ‘OK, this makes sense. This is now a time to make an effort.’”

    Now Brand claims that he found sleeping with lots of women spiritually unfulfilling.

    He said: “It was a little unfulfilling spiritually, although I was really enjoying it. You can live like that for a while, but I think if you continue past a certain point, it becomes a bit tragic.”

  • NY judge tosses out case against Seinfelds over cook book

    Comedian Jerry Seinfeld and his wife Jessica emerged victorious in a lawsuit that accused them of defamation and plagiarism.

    A federal judge tossed out a case brought by cook book author Missy Chase Lapine. She claimed Jessica copied her work into her own book on how to make children’s diets more healthy.

    Jerry was accused of defaming Lapine with a “slanderous attack” delivered on national TV on the David Letterman show.

    Jessica Seinfeld’s book was titled Deceptively Delicious: Simple Secrets To Get Your Kids Eating Good Food and was published in 2007 by Harper Collins six months after Lapine’s.

    Lapine’s book, meanwhile, was titled The Sneaky Chef: Simple Strategies For Hiding Healthy Foods In Kids’ Favorite Meals, the lawsuit claimed.

  • John Cleese’s hair was transplanted


    The British comedy actor recently admitted on a talk-show that he has had hair transplant: “”As we’re talking operations, since I saw you last I’ve had a hair transplant.” He also mentioned the reason for this strange treatment: “Because I have got a very strange shaped head. It’s very pointy. And I don’t like wearing wigs.” Now this is just another example of some people not being able to accept that fact that they’re getting old. What’s next? Botox? (this hypothesis however does seem quite funny) As a great comedian once said: “We can’t take the fact that we get older so… we bullshit ourselves!” May he rest in peace!
