  • Indie Drummer Dies from Tragic Accident

    Drummer Jerry Fuchs passed away on Sunday morning after a tragic fall down an elevator shaft. The accident happened when the musician was attending a benefit to raise money for women in India. According to a Building Department spokesman, Jerry and his friend were in the elevator when it stopped on the fifth floor. Both men attempted the jump down but Jerry failed to make it due to a piece of clothing that got caught, “sending him swinging back into the crevice separating the elevator from the fifth floor.” The 34-year old was the beloved drummer for indie band such as !!!, The Juan MacLean, Maseratti, Vineland and Turing Machine. My condolences go out to the loved ones he left behind.

  • No Profit for U2

    U2 has been touring the world for the last three months and while the shows are selling out, the band has yet to make a dime off of it because of the high cost of the stage set up. The Claw, as it is called, is their portable stage, and it costs around $750,000 to construct and transport for every single show. Bono and the rest of the guys aren’t expected to turn a profit of any kind until they finish the North American leg of the tour this month. Let’s be honest though, they already have heaps of money anyway. However, it is nice to know that they’re putting on a good show for their fans even though it might not be the cheapest option.

  • Kate Moss desperate to sing with The Kills

    Supermodel Kate Moss has once again been begging her rocker boyfriend Jamie Hince to let her sing with his band The Kills.

    The Sun newspaper claims that the row has erupted again because Moss has been asked to host a celebrity karaoke event called Hoping’s Got Talent.

    People will pay for the privilege of singing alongside celebrities at the event at Cafe de Paris in London’s Leicester Square. And they will be judged by Moss and X Factor judge Louis Walsh.

    A source told the newspaper: “Kate is keen on doing more singing, she wants her voice out there. But Jamie is refusing to even entertain the idea, saying bandmate Alison Mosshart will be livid.”
