  • Kirstie Alley launches new diet ‘elixir’

    Fat Actress star Kirstie Alley has launched her own weight-loss company.

    The actress famously lost 75lbs on the Jenny Craig diet and appeared on Oprah in a bikini to show off her slimline figure.

    But she later piled all the weight back on and was replaced as the diet company’s spokeswoman by Valerie Bertinelli.

    But now she claims she has lost 20lbs since the beginning of this year by downing a new diet ‘elixir’ she helped create.

    The former Cheers star has now founded Organic Liaison, a company to support dieters in the US, and she has developed a series of slimming remedies.

    Alley said: “I’m not a doctor or a nutritionist – I’m a regular person like you who has been struggling with her weight and searching and praying for a weight-loss program to end that for ever.

    “Now my dream is a reality. I’ve been afforded access to the best products in the world. I’ve been researching and developing Organic Liaison for the past two years with the help of the greatest scientific minds on the planet.

    “I can promise you our certified weight-loss elixir, Rescue Me, takes on excess hunger and cravings. It will support your body and flood your body with the missing elements that make weight-loss an uphill battle.

  • Jessica Simpson Talks Weight


    Jessica Simpson stepped out wearing a bold pair of leather pants when she performed at University of Virginia’s John Paul Jones Arena in Charlottesville, Virginia last week. The 28-year old wannabe country singer opened up for Rascal Flatts. Jess never outright mentioned her fuller figure but did say “Please remember, no matter what you go through in life, somebody else might have it harder. So just appreciate. I feel like in our world today we focus on so many things that are completely pointless.” Is that another way of her saying that there are so many others fatter than her?

  • Chris Martin on a diet

    Chris Martin is on a diet. The Coldplay frontman revealed the whole band has been forced to swap tasty ‘baked goods’ for salads after they piled on the pounds while working on their new album ‘Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends’.

    Chris said: “It happens whenever we have some downtime, usually between albums. We get very hairy and kind of morph into Bill Oddie (British TV presenter) – we have stacked on the weight.”

    The singer revealed he decided to do something about his weight after receiving weight loss advice from an unusual source – Primal Scream bassist Mani. Chris added: “Mani was eating a sandwich and I asked him what was in it. He told me it was salad and that I should eat the same. Mani warned us that nobody wants a fat pop star.”

    Chris has now banned calorific club sandwiches from their catering menu while they are on tour promoting their new album.

    A source said: “They love club sandwiches and know they would be tempted to eat quite a few if they were available.”

    Move over Kirstie Alley – there’s a new princess, I mean, ah, Queen in town.

    Queen Latifah is the newest celeb to join Kirstie and pal Valerie Bertinelli as a spokesperson for the Jenny Craig weight loss program. JC has confirmed that Queen will start in January.

    Queen Latifah is one of the few celebrities who has been proud of her plus-sized figure over the years. According to Jenny Craig’s people, her ads won’t be about getting smaller or fitting into a certain size dress, but will be focused on living a healthier lifestyle.

    They say, “We are thrilled to have Queen Latifah support our mission of improving health by taking her first step toward achieving a more healthful lifestyle.”

    Congrats, Queen, but don’t forget that big is beautiful, too!

  • Lily Allen Flaunts It

    Lily Allen needs to make up her mind. She once said in an interview that the reason she started exercising to lose weight was because of a heart murmur but in the cover article of British GQ, she’s saying otherwise.

    Lily is well known for publicly attacking every celebrity and she says “A lot of that stuff I said was because I didn’t feel confident. I felt like, ‘Oh God, I’m short, fat, ugly…and I hate all these people who flaunt their beauty.’ Ever since a kid I’ve felt like I’m possibly the uncoolest, naffest person ever to walk the earth. But I feel great at the moment. I actually don’t have one bad thing to say about anything.”

    So did she lose weight for her health or did she lose it because she was insecure?
