    Jessica Simpson had a pretty crappy birthday last Friday when her boyfriend, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo broke up with her before her party last weekend. Now, people are saying that Tony called it off with Jess after he found text messages from the failed county singer’s ex John Mayer on her phone. An insider says “They were hanging out and he picked up her phone and she got defensive about it. Tony found messages from John and went ballistic. Tony dumped her right then. He walked out and that was it.” It sounds so much like high school drama doesn’t it?

    The actress has recently been encouraged by her father to give up her boyfriend Tony Romo because Joe Simpson thinks that he is having a deteriorating effect on Jessica Simpson’s career. A source said this about Jessica Simpson’s predicament: “Joe now feels that Tony has become too much of a distraction for Jessica. Any free time she has, Jess wants to spend with Tony. But rather than blaming his daughter’s work ethic, Joe points the finger at Tony.” Yeah, falling in love can do that to you. It does however suck when the dad is the manager. I guess Tony Romo is going to have a great time with Jessica Simpson’s father given this little bondage that already exists between them.

She definitely talks a pretty interesting interview especially on John Mayer. Talk about denial. When asked about her current relationship with Tony Romo, she says “Most of the guys I dated were captivated by my heart, but they had different ways of trying to get to me. Tony understands me. He appreciates my talent. He’s the first person I’ve spiritually connected with. According to a college pal of Tony’s who got to talk with the Chicago Sun-Times, the quarterback “made it super-clear that if they were to give another go, her dad had to seriously back off” and that their second try at romance is only a trial thing and will only work if Joe leaves the couple alone. The pair has since been very public with their ongoing romance being out and about these past few days.

    Jessica Simpson has split from Tony Romo, sources have claimed. The ‘With You’ singer and the American football star have reportedly ended their romance after Tony was overheard telling friends he is single again.

    A source said: ‘They’re over. Tony told pals he’s back on the singles market.’

    When Dallas Cowboys star Tony was questioned about the split, he fumed: “I’m not talking about Jessica.”

    Jessica’s dad, Joe Simpson, refused to confirm the split, saying: “I don’t know anything about Tony and Jessica.”

    Although a representative for the couple denied they had broken up, sources insist they are no longer together. At the weekend, Tony partied at Chicago club Manor and was surrounded by a string of beautiful women.

    Yesterday, it was reported Jessica went on a drinking binge after discovering ex-boyfriend John Mayer is dating Jennifer Aniston. The blonde beauty, her best friend Cacee Cobb and Cacee’s boyfriend Donald Faison reportedly spent four hours drinking at California’s Mexicali Cocina Cantina restaurant, according to internet gossip blogger Perez Hilton.

    At the end of the session, Jessica was said to be so drunk she had to call her mother Tina to pick her up and drive her home.

    Guess he’s taking some time for some TLC before the playoffs.

    Tony Romo, quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys, spent a post-New Year’s vacation with girlfriend Jessica Simpson in Los Cabos, Mexico. The couple joined some of Tony’s teammates and Jessica’s parents poolside for some fun in the sun.

    The two did take some time to be alone privately. They stayed in a house that was in a gated community and hired in their own personal chef. Cozy, huh?

    Seems like the two are getting closer than ever. What’s in the future for the two? Who knows? Maybe wedding bells again for Jess….
