  • Katie Holmes is not pregnant, insists rep

    Actress Katie Holmes has hit back at rumours that she is pregnant.

    Holmes already has a daughter Suri with husband and Mission Impossible star Tom Cruise.

    And recently the internet has been buzzing with the news that the couple were expecting a second child.

    The buzz intensified when photos surfaced of Holmes supposedly visiting a doctor’s office.

    But now her rep has said: “Katie is not pregnant.”

    The rep also explained that Holmes was actually visiting E Baldi restaurant in Los Angeles, which is on the bottom floor of a doctor’s office building, to dine with her agents.

    Since promoting her upcoming films, The Extra Man and The Romantics, at this year’s Sundance Film Festival, the actress has been enjoying quality time with her three-year-old daughter, Suri.

  • Tom Cruise pops into Harvard law class

    Tom Cruise would never spend time in Boston without letting Harvard into his plans.

    The actor took time out from his busy filming schedule on Wichita to drop in on a class at the top Ivy League college.

    The actor surprised students by dropping into a lecture hall to hear a talk being given by his lawyer, Bertram Fields.

    Cruise arrived late to the two-hour class, but stayed an hour afterwards to chat and allow photographs to be taken. Students gathered as the news spread around the leafy campus.

    Cruise joked about playing a Harvard graduate a few times in his movie career. He also joked with his longtime lawyer.

    Cruise has been seen out and about in Boston with his wife, Katie Holmes and daughter Suri, three. His adopted son with Nicole Kidman, Connor, was seen joining in on a jog with Holmes. Cameron Diaz is also appearing in the movie.

  • Connor Cruise will not appear on Melrose

    Rumours that Tom Cruise’s son was to appear on TV’s Melrose Place are not correct.

    The budding actor, 14, was said to be set to join the cast of the CW show after a listing appeared on his Internet Movie Database page.

    “There’s no truth in it,” said a representative for the show.

    Connor Cruise is set to appear in Red Dawn, a remake of a Patrick Swayze movie, alongside Watchmen star Jeffrey Dean Morgan.

    The original Red Dawn, which was directed by John Milius, starred Swayze, his future Dirty Dancing partner Jennifer Grey and Charlie Sheen.

  • Tom Cruise lured to New Zealand by vintage aircraft

    The lure for Tom Cruise’s 24-hour trip to New Zealand was vintage warplanes not award-winning director Peter Jackson – or at least in that order.

    The Hollywood superstar was said to have flown across the ocean from Australia to New Zealand for a lightning-quick meeting with Jackson. Cruise did bunk down at Jackson’s mansion in Wairarapa but the visit was not to talk shop.

    Jackson took Cruise to Masterton’s Hood Aerodrome to look at his collection of planes. A retired pilot, Robert Thurston, said: “These two chaps came walking past and said ‘G’day.’ Afterwards someone pointed out that one of the guys was Tom Cruise. It’s not every day that happens, but it was all very secret what they were doing there. Peter’s not one to like much publicity.”

    Wellington’s Oscar-winning special effects guru, Richard Taylor, said Cruise, who filmed The Last Samurai there in 2003, “obviously loved New Zealand. He is a very amazing individual and really gracious and engaging”.

    He also added that Cruise was very complimentary about his new TV series, The WotWots – for toddlers.

    Lost star Maggie Grace is to join Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz in new film Wichita.

    Grace, who played the role of island castaway Shannon in hit ABC show Lost, has signed up for the spy thriller, whichwill be directed by James Mangold.

    The story is centred around a lonely woman, played by Diaz, who goes on a seemingly-harmless blind date that turns her life upside down when a super-spy, played by Cruise, takes her on a violent journey around the world.

    They have to protect a powerful battery that holds the key to an infinite power source.

    Grace will reportedly be playing the role of Diaz’s sister, who is getting married and is excited that Diaz will take the place of their late dad and will walk her down the aisle.

    An apparels company is planning to launch T-shirts which will be using images of Tom Cruise combined with slogans such as “Everything Turns Me On” & “Sex Addict” to sell their garments which has infuriated Tom and he plans legal action against the apparel company if at all they go ahead and put the T-shirts on the market.

    The star of such movies like Mission Impossible is planning to take every step needed to stop this from happening as he feels it would damage his image. Aaron Moss, Tom’s lawyer has sent a written legal warning to Addictiontree.com telling them not to advertise the garments using his image. But Addictiontree.com has not responded and intend to use Tom’s image on their T-shirts.

    Gee man, these could just be the introductory slogan “Sex Addict” could soon be “Call Me For…” and later “The Key To Good Sex Is Me” if this is allowed to happen then Tom might become the favourite of the top porn movie makers in Hollywood. All in all not a bad career option once he retires from acting in big budgeted movies.

  • Golden Globe was a family event for Tom Cruise


    While almost everyone came with their designer dresses, handsome men and beautiful women in tow, Tom Cruise came with her mother Mary Lee Mapother and his father-in-law Martin Holmes. Fans can finally add being family-loyal as one of Cruise’s idol points. Kate Holmes could not make it to the Golden Globe since she was wrapping things up at Broadway for her “All My Sons” play. Cruise said Kate insisted he should go to the Golden Globe so off he went but with their parents as his date. Kate will however join them for a post celebration. Cruise was a presenter for the Golden Globe Best Motion Picture-Drama Award which was won by Slumdog Millionaire.

    But it was not just Cruise who sported the “Family” theme during yesterday’s Golden Globe. Among the stars who also came with their parents are Miley Cyrus, Jeremy Piven, Kevin Connolly and Blake Livley. Even celebrity mother Susan Sarandon brought her son Jack Robbins as her date. And while Miss Golden Globe Rumer Willis did not really walk the red carpet with her mom, Demi Moore was also at the Golden Globe.

    Not for him, for his wife for her upcoming 30th birthday on December 18th. Tom is planning on taking her and his daughter Suri away on a vacation. A source close to the family said: “Tom realizes that Katie has been working very hard on the show, so when it’s over he’s planning on taking her on a romantic break with Suri too. They just want to spend some quality time together as a family and he feels a holiday would be the best way of doing that away from prying eyes. She will be in for a real treat.” Of course, a vacation away from prying eyes, sure, that’s why we’re all reading about it. In no time I’m sure we’ll find out about the location too. Again, I fail to understand these proceedings.

    Enjoying a two day visit to Las Vegas, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes finish up the trip by attending a Celine Dion concert at Caesar’s Palace.

    Sources say the couple was very gracious and happily signed autographs for fans before the show. They then sat down to watch the two and a half hour show.

    After the show, Tom and Katie went and spent some time meeting Celine. She said she was both excited and nervous about having them watch her performance.

    Also that night, the couple enjoyed a romantic dinner at the SW Steakhouse at the Wynn. Another diner says they were holding hands and were “very lovey dovey”.

    Thanks, but I’ve lost my appetite.

    They are the most envied power couple in Hollywood at the moment. Well come on, who doesn’t envy them? The boys wish they were Tom Cruise so they could be married to Katie, and the girls wish they were Katie Holmes so they could be married to Tom. Even if they are into that weird silent birthing thing.

    So it is lovely to see that at least some celebrity couples seem to be genuinely happy and content, as we see the pair frolicing the Italian Alps this weekend. Don’t panic onlookers, I don’t think broken legs due to skiing accidents are likely – the pair were seen riding a snowmobile and were all smiles. In between lunching with people like Georgio Armani of course.

    Is there anyone famous this pair doesn’t know? Good for them anyway.

    Nineteen famous faces were named in six categories, including Simon Cowell – a top entertainer and newsmakers Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. Beyonce and Jennifer Lopez were also included in the “beauty queen” category alongside Holmes.
    The 10-month-old daughter of the late Anna Nicole Smith, Dannielynn Hope, was also mentioned as a “survivor”, due to being at the centre of “Hollywood’s most controversial tragedies”.
    The child was the subject of a paternity dispute between Howard K Stern and Larry Birkhead, who was eventually proved to be her father.
    TR Knight, a star of US medical drama Grey’s Anatomy, made the newsmaker list after he announced he was gay and co-star Isiah Washington made a homophobic remark about him.

    Actress Sarah Jessica Parker, singer Justin Timberlake and model Kate Moss were named the most prominent trendsetters in fashion.

    Being the mother of Tom Cruise’s baby daughter has been so much fun that Katie Holmes tells “Entertainment Tonight” she’s ready to have more children.
    “We’re having the best time, it’s so amazing”, Holmes, 28, said of the year she and Cruise have spent largely out of the spotlight. She gave birth to the couple’s first child, Suri, in April 2006.
    “Yes, definitely”, she told the TV program when asked about the possibility of more kids. The interview airs Monday.
    Cruise and his ex-wife, Nicole Kidman, have a 12-year-old son and 15-year-old daughter, and Holmes said the role of stepmother is one she relishes.
    “The kids are so sweet, they’re so great with Suri and she lights up when she sees them”, she said. “We have so many kids in our house, there’s always this wonderful chatter and the great noise of kids.”
    The actress, who recently returned to work filming the movie “Mad Money” with Diane Keaton and Queen Latifah, said her 44-year-old husband has played a key role in making the transition to motherhood an easy one.
    “He’s a great father and so it came to no shock that when we had Suri he was amazing with the baby”, she said.
    Although the Katie and Tom were rumored to have problems and the people expected the couple would fall in pieces, the expectations turned out to be fake. Now they look happier and even more in love with each other. Maybe very soon we will hear Katie saying she is pregnant with their second child.

    For the people working on Katie Holmes’s new movie, Mad Money, in Shreveport, La., TGIF means “Treats and Goodies, its Friday.” The actress has been treating her fellow cast and crew to a tasty surprise every week. This Friday’s special? Snow cones in “every flavor you could think of,” an insider tells PEOPLE. “We’re always wondering all week, ‘What’s Katie going to do this Friday?” the source says. “The snow cones were great because it’s in the high 80s. They melt fast, but it’s great.” A snow cone truck pulled up to the set around 3 p.m. Friday, and as word spread among the cast and crew, a line quickly formed to share in the shaved ice and flavored syrup treats that are so popular in the South. Since shooting began on Mad Money, a comedy also staring Diane Keaton, Queen Latifah and Ted Danson, Holmes has treated the entire cast and crew – about 200 to 300 people – to a surprise. “The first Friday was smoothies,” the insider says. “Then we had the ice cream, pizza, cupcakes, Coke floats and now snow cones.” Hubby Tom Cruise and daughter Suri are frequent visitors to the set. Suri was there on Friday without Cruise. “She was walking down the hall today – someone waved and said ‘hi,’ and she just giggled,” says the source. “She’s a happy baby.”
