Amy Winehouse’s marriage on the brink

Amy Winehouse’s marriage is hanging by a thread after she snubbed husband Blake Fielder-Civil on his 26th birthday.

The troubled singer, 24, did not visit Blake in jail on Wednesday or send a card in time. Pals say she is living as “a single woman” but will not dump him while he is inside.

Blake is self-harming because she keeps missing visits to Pentonville Prison, North London, where he is awaiting trial on assault and trial-fixing allegations.

A pal said: “Amy does everything she can not to visit. She forgets she is married half the time. There are a few men she is close to and Blake can’t stand it.”

The Rehab star’s dad Mitch said: “It wouldn’t surprise me if Amy and Blake had broken up.”

Vanessa Paradis to marry Johnny Depp

johnny-and-vanessa-marry.jpg

Bad news ladies…Johnny Depp is officially off the market as of this summer. Boo.

He and Vanessa Paradis are getting married on June 14, it has been claimed.

The pair – who have been together for over 10 years and have two children, eight-year-old Lily-Rose and six-year-old Jack – have always insisted they don’t feel the need to legalise their relationship, but French singer Vanessa is now keen to tie the knot.

A source close to the couple is quoted as saying: ‘Vanessa recently told Johnny that she would love to have a wedding. Johnny loves Vanessa very much, and he said if that’s what would make her happy, then he would marry her.’

‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ star Johnny – who recently said the couple were ‘for all intents and purposes married’ – is planning to have the ceremony in Georgia to make it convenient for his family who live in Florida. The source added: ‘Lily-Rose and Jack are really excited about it.

Actually - the whole family is excited. They’re going to send out invitations in a few weeks.’ Johnny has previously admitted he would be reluctant to tie the knot because he loves Vanessa’s surname.

He said: ‘It would be a shame to ruin her last name! It’s so perfect - Vanessa Paradis. So beautiful. It would be such a drag to stick her with Paradis-Depp. It’s like a flat note! ‘But if she ever said, ‘Hey, let’s get hitched’, I would do it in a second. We’ll do it if the kids want us to, or maybe when the kids are old enough to enjoy it with us.’

Kylie Minogue: I was misdiagnosed

Kylie Minogue has revealed that the first doctor she saw failed to diagnose that she had breast cancer.

Kylie Minogue: I was misdiagnosed

Chatting on US TV, the Australian singer told how she was initially misdiagnosed when she went for a check-up before she embarked on her Showgirl tour in 2005.

Kylie told talk show host Ellen DeGeneres: “Because someone is in a white coat and using big medical instruments doesn’t necessarily mean they’re right.”

Kylie added that she decided to continue with the world tour because a doctor has told her she was perfectly healthy. The star heard stories from other women who had been to see a doctor for a diagnosis and were told things were fine, when in fact, they were not.

Kylie said: “I don’t want to say that to frighten people but that’s just a fact. You must follow your intuition and if you have any doubt go back again”.

Kylie has previously spoken about the “anger” she felt after she was diagnosed with the disease in 2005 and how she channeled it into her album X, which reached No.4 in the UK charts last year.

Amy Winehouse is moving to a new home – for the third time in less than four months! What’s gotten her so antsy? Apparently, reports are saying that Wino is being “tormented by demons” at her current home in Camden, North London. A friend revealed to UK’s The Sun that “She feels it is full of bad vibes and demons bringing her down.” Wino is pretty intent on moving as she feels her surrounding have affected her well-being and state of mind. Really? I thought drugs did that to you. It’s not the demons that haunt you, it’s the drugs and the drug users for guests that you usually have in the house.

After years of investigation, a British coroner says he hasn’t found anything to prove that there was a British conspiracy, either royal or governmental, to kill Princess Diana intentionally.

He also went on to say that he believed that Paul Burrell, Diana’s butler hadn’t been completely honest. He said the butler “hadn’t told the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth”.

Wow, that’s really been bugging me….but I’m still not sure the Queen Mum wasn’t involved in that whole paparazzi chase.

Pink Speaks Out

Just yesterday it was announced that Carey Hart and Pink are divorcing after two years of marriage. Today, Pink released a statement on her website.

Hi everybody.

I wanted to reach out personally to all my fans/friends out there in the world. First and foremost, thank-you for all of your support and love, it means a lot to me right now. The most important thing for you all to know, is that Carey and I love each other so so much. This break up is not about cheating, anger, or fighting. I know it sounds like cliche bulls***, but we are best friends, and we will continue to be. All I know at this point, is that I want to make the best album I can, and Carey wants to do the best possible job he can with everything he has going on. He is a good man, so please support him as well. One never knows the future, but mine and Careys’ just might involve beach babies and sunshine one day. Just not right now. Thanks for the concern and caring.

X Miss P

Does that mean that while she was married, she was “Pink Hart”?

Keifer Sutherland Released from Jail

After 48 days in the slammer, Keifer Sutherland was released just after midnight on Monday. He has been in since December 5 and was quite ready to head home to his own bed and some real food.

One of the officers on hand said, “Kiefer is excited to leave the jail and return to the safe and warm confines of his home. Kiefer was the model inmate while he served his time, and jokingly told jail staff that he won’t be doing any laundry anytime soon as he was relegated to endless hours of fluff and fold.”

Keifer originally agreed to the plea bargain of 48 days so he wouldn’t interrupt production of 24, meaning he had to spend the holidays and his birthday in jail. However, shooting of the show has been stopped for the writer’s strike anyway.

Christina’s Boy

Christina Aguilera

Christina Aguilera named her son Max Liron Bratman. Now, I don’t know about you but I’m wondering where she got that name. If you’re wondering just like me, you’re lucky that I have the answer.

The singer’s husband, music exec Jordan, is Jewish and she has a tattoo on her arm in Hebrew. The name Liron is of Hebrew origin meaning ‘my song’ while Max means ‘the greatest’. Now isn’t that the sweetest thing? Max Liron has been deemed as Christina’s greatest song. Now that is what you call a very loving mother. Britney may beat her in the numbers game but I bet Christina would beat her in motherhood.

Johnny Depp to play Jackson?

Johnny Depp would love to play Michael Jackson in a movie about his life.

It was rumoured that the 44-year old actor based his Willy Wonka character in ‘Charlie and The Chocolate Factory’ on the eccentric singer. However he says, “I have heard that I based Willy Wonka on Michael Jackson before, but no, that was not my plan, I wish I had thought of that though. But there is still time to play him. He might get up to his old tricks again and maybe there will be a TV movie about him!”

Johnny - who stars as a murderous barber in ‘Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street’ - also revealed he had no intention of sounding like David Bowie in the musical film.

He added: “I wouldn’t ever dream of attempting to channel David Bowie because he is one of my heroes. But if there is a similarity it wasn’t intentional. It’s a nice compliment though.”

She talks about her body, her bad habits, her diet and exercise, Britney Spears, celebrity role models and even her relationship with Chemical Brothers member Ed Simons. She was asked whether her relationship with Ed has helped melt away the pounds. She responded with “I’m certainly getting more exercise in the bedroom…So yeah.” It’s also added some pounds – in the form of a baby! So here’s to hoping that Lily would quit smoking and that she won’t starve herself during this delicate period. Otherwise, she might give birth to something that looks like Amy Winehouse on a really bad day.

Congrats, Queen, but don’t forget that big is beautiful, too!

Let’s just hope that her injury’s not too serious and wouldn’t impede her performance in any of their reunion tour dates. It’s a good thing she gets plenty of rest between shows.

It’s Friday which means Kevin Federline’s gangster lawyer is at court ripping Britney Spears’ camp a new one. In this week’s edition, K-Fed’s people finally got the judge to agree that Britney should not be allowed to drive with the kids in the car. what I find interesting is that she obviously puts the kids in the car to get them to go to sleep… now she’s gonna be FORCED to act like a real mother and cope with her kids being kids. She uses that vehicle as an escape mechanism, because she knows the kid’s will keep it down while they’re in the car. Let’s see what happens now that she HAS to stay home with them. Chances are this unstable streak she has, is gonna worsen and she’s gonna lose it even more. I worry more than ever about those boys right now. Thank GOD there’s a monitor w/ her at all times.

Geri Halliwell aka Ginger Spice does the narration for the commercial which not only promotes the store but the Spice Girls’ ‘Greatest Hits’ album as well. The commercial is basically old footage from all of their old music videos mixed in with their new album cover and a couple of other things.

And remember… Ginger does the voice over. I guess that’s enough.

A local Sacramento TV station is going through some major backlash after an on-air interview with Janet Jackson and co-star/director Tyler Perry got really uncomfortable. After discussing the pair’s new film ‘Why Did I Get Married?’ on ‘Good Day Sacramento’, anchor Mark S. Allen asked Janet about her infamous Super Bowl wardrobe malfunction. Uh oh!

Tyler tried to turn the attention back to the movie but to no avail. He finally lost his cool and mouthed off. But Mark took a last dig asking if there were any wardrobe mishaps in the movie. Janet was pretty stoic through all of it.

Jason Statham Blasts Guy Ritchie’s ‘Jealous’ Critics

Jason Statham has defended director pal Guy Ritchie, insisting any criticism of his films is based on jealousy. The 35-year-old - who has worked with Ritchie on Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Revolver and Snatch - believes Madonna’s husband is subjected to criticism because he is so talented. There are positive criticism and negative ones too, you have to be able to differentiate between the good ones that are supporting your work but also drawing out the flaws and there are others who would do it just for the heck of it, they will just lament the movie a shit and give it bad ratings. I am sure that Jason will agree with me here, I think he is being supportive of his friend’s work and that great to see that there exists some good friendship in Hollywood’s cut throat competition even today. Support from close quarters can be very beneficial to a high stress worked up person. Jason keep it going this way.

People and fans were surprised to see him, which is ridiculous. There should be no surprise at all there should be happiness expressed to see him looking and smiling after so many days. People have this knack of cribbing over past things which would be best if forgotten after a few days of media frenzy. His suicide attempt took place in August and it is now October 6, so this suicide thing should be way out of our minds now and we should be happy to see him attend parties and lead a normal life. I think we kind remember such incident more and then keep talking about these things which inturn doesn’t let the victim forget what happened. We shout, speak and gossip and that poor chap is left to feel the burden of our useless talks, he think we are genuinely concerned where as the fact remains we just want make fun till we like and then to hell with what ever happened. For now though just leave him in peace and enjoy the release of his latest movie and tell the good reviews follow in.

Whoopi Goldberg Denies Slamming President Bush

Comedienne Whoopi Goldberg has denied slamming President George W. Bush at a Democratic fundraising event in 2004 - insisting rumors are a conspiracy to tarnish her name. The people who should be slammed are the ones who praise the job Bush has done. Who can deny that he has torn this country apart, gotten us into an unjust war over weapons that weren’t there, ruined our reputation abroad, and is piling up debt for our grandchildren? To compare him to a part of a woman’s anatomy is an insult to a woman’s anatomy. You go Whoopi. So what if she trash Bush plenty of famous people trash Bush. That should not affect her career. People are crazy. You should be able to have your own opinion. In the first place we are the ones who have elected him not once but twice so now if we are paying the price it is because it was are decision. It also makes clear that there are bad leadership qualities in our leaders today and we are the ones who are allowing them to get away with their bad work.

James Bond tops ‘culture chart’

bond-james-bond-007.jpg

James Bond’s Casino Royale has topped the UK’s first “culture chart”, bringing together sales of DVDs, books, CDs and computer games in one rundown. The Casino Royale DVD sold 2.3 million copies in the first half of 2007, ahead of The Queen DVD in second place. James Bond is by far the best selling movies of all times, even if the recent reports that the movies of Harry Potter have sold more it ticket sales and out placed James Bond from the number one slot of all time box office sales, one thing that the people who have made this report would not have taken into consideration is that the first Harry Potter movie was released after 2000 and James Bond – the character and the movies series has being there for more than 40 years. To remain such an iconic movie for such a long duration and to be accepted to a wide generation of cinema goers is what gives the edge to James Bond in my opinion.

Angelina Jolie Is An Awful Cook

angelina-jolie-strawberry.jpg
Do you believe that Angie ever did cook? How do you think she stays so thin, they both have enough money to have lots of help. Tell me one woman that can keep house, maintain a career, fly to all these off the wall places. Take care of four kids all under the age of ten, I may add. Tell me she does not have a great deal of help with the house & kids. Who does the wash? Where ever they go for a shoot they live in the Presidential Suites of the hotels and splurge like there’s no tomorrow, why would she ever bother about cooking food when she can have the best food from anywhere in the world served on her table and even throw the food of the table if she doesn’t like the taste of it. And if these are not star tantrums then I do not know what is. But I don’t blame her either, she does a lot of good work and then if you have people cook for why not just lay back and have wine and dine together.

It should be interesting to note that if Foxy serves full term, she will be giving birth in prison. Harsh. Where’s her Paris Hilton/Nicole Richie jail story when she needs it?

Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie Are Ready For Another Child

But what’s going to be unique about the Brad-Jolie family is that the kids are going to be from all around the world giving the kids an atmosphere that will be unrivalled at least in Hollywood coz I do not know how other’s around the world follow the adopting pattern.

Theron ‘wants US soldiers home’

Theron plays a detective looking for the missing soldier
Hollywood actress Charlize Theron, who is promoting her latest movie at the Venice Film Festival, has said she hopes US troops in Iraq can come home.
The 32-year-old stars in the film, In The Valley of Elah, based on the true story of a soldier who goes missing after serving in Iraq.

“Nothing would give me more joy than to see them back in America,” the Oscar-winning star said.

Tommy Lee Jones and Susan Sarandon play the missing soldier’s parents.

charlize-theron.jpg

Theron said: “[The soldiers] are doing a very, very important job and it’s a dangerous one. Hopefully they can come back and be looked after, that’s the least we can do for them.”

The movie is the second Iraq drama at this year’s festival - the first, Brian De Palma’s Redacted, premiered on Friday.

The Valley of Elah was written and directed by Paul Haggis, whose last film was the Oscar-winning Crash.

“I laugh when I hear these statements that Hollywood is jumping on the bandwagon because the American public is turning against the war,” Haggis said.

“We started work on the film in 2003, when the president had an 80% approval rating, everyone even in the neighbourhood where I live was driving around with flags on their cars, and the president was saying it was unpatriotic to even question this war,” he said.

He said financing the film was hard and thinks at the time it was “risky” to make.

Meanwhile, director Ken Loach also premiered his new film, It’s A Free World at the festival.

The movie takes a look at the exploitation of migrant workers in the UK.

Loach said he hoped it would generate attention on the plight of immigrants - legal or otherwise - who have flocked to the country from eastern Europe in recent years.

“On the one hand people say the economy couldn’t survive without the immigrant workforce. On the other, the right wing is saying, ‘Get these people out of our country’. It’s hypocrisy,” he said.

Diana Remembered with Loving Words and Tears

Filed under: Celebrity, Movies, News, Photos — Tara @ 10:45 pm

A tear ran down the cheek of Prince William as his younger brother, Harry, spoke of their late mother, Diana, during Friday’s noontime service to the late princess at the Guards’ Chapel near Buckingham Palace in London.

princess-diana1.jpg

The solemn gathering marked the 10th anniversary of Diana’s death and had been organized by her two sons with Prince Charles. Included on the guest list were Queen Elizabeth, Charles and Diana’s friend, Elton John.

Outside the chapel, as has been the case every year on the date Diana died, her admirers gathered. Others, carrying and leaving floral bouquets, poems and photos, congregated outside the gates of Diana’s former home, Kensington Palace.

A prayer written for the memorial service by Rowan Williams, the archbishop of Canterbury, gave thanks “for all the memories of her that we treasure still.”

“Her vulnerability and her willingness to reach out to the excluded and forgotten touched us all; her generosity gave hope and joy to many. May she rest in peace where sorrow and pain are banished,” Williams wrote, the Associated Press reports.

Besides readings by William and Harry, who had been only 15 and 12 when their mother died, the service also featured a remembrance from Diana’s sister, Lady Sarah McCorquodale.

“It should be a good occasion and lots of loud hymns. It should be a very sort of simple and nice service,” Prince Harry said in a recent interview as the service approached.

In Paris, where the “People’s Princess,” as Diana had been nicknamed, died in a high-speed car crash alongside her lover, Dodi al-Fayed, several mourners gathered and left bouquets at the tunnel where the fatal incident occurred,.

A note, scrawled on a portrait of Diana in a jeweled crown, read: “10 years already, Oh how I miss you.” It was signed “Monique de Luxembourg.”

The new drug rehabilitation clinic, which follows the principals of Preston’s religion, will use tried and tested alternative methods to ween addicts off painkillers and hard drugs. Why can’t celebs just stay out of rehab? Either creating one or going thru them. Nobody in h’wood succeeds in rehab because they go to country club facilities that cater to their every whim. They’re a slap in the face for people who go thru serious rehab, go to AA meetings and really WANT to turn their lives around. a rehab in Hawaii? I don’t drink, snort, pop or shoot, but sign me up! It sounds like a great vacation…even if it does subscribe to the whacked out “religion” of Scientology.

A baby boy for exes Moynahan and Brady

Filed under: Bridget Moynahan, Celebrity, Good, Love Romance, Music, News, Photos, Sport, TV Show, Television, VIP — Tara @ 12:30 pm

It’s a boy for Bridget Moynahan and New England Patriots’ quarterback Tom Brady. The actress gave birth to the baby in Los Angeles on Wednesday, Moynahan’s publicist Christina Papadapoulos said in a statement. “Both mother and baby are doing well,” she said.
Other details were not immediately released.

Brady’s whereabouts weren’t known. He wasn’t on the field or sidelines for the first 15 minutes of practice on Wednesday and Patriots spokesman Stacey James said he didn’t know when Brady would rejoin the team.

moynahan-and-brady1.jpg

It also wasn’t clear whether Brady would play in the Patriots’ third exhibition game Friday against the Carolina Panthers. A call to his agent, Donald Yee, wasn’t immediately returned.

Brady, 30, had said earlier this week that he would like a few days off for the birth of his first child, calling the event “a very joyous, happy situation.”

Moynahan and Brady split up late last year after a three-year relationship. Brady, who has been dating supermodel Gisele Bundchen, wasn’t on the field or sidelines for the first 15 minutes of Patriots practice Wednesday.

The quarterback had said he wanted a few days off to attend the birth of his first child. It was unknown if he arrived before the baby was born.

Moynahan, 36, is a former model who has starred in such films as “Coyote Ugly,” “I, Robot” and “The Sum of All Fears.” Her television credits include “Sex and the City” and the ABC series “Six Degrees.”

Kanye West: ‘People Think I’m Gay’

Rapper Kanye West has no regrets about speaking out against homophobia in hip-hop music, even though some people now assume he’s gay. But West, who in 2005 called for an end to homophobia in the rap community, admits he still wouldn’t feel comfortable socializing in a gay club, an attitude he attributes to his upbringing in Chicago, Illinois. Kanye is NOT gay. He is simply an advocate and somewhat of an activist on…hell whatever HE believes in, right, wrong or indifferent Kanye speaks his mind/heart and people seem to listen. Maybe not change their views BUT they do listen to the headlines he makes! Yeah the other thing is that most of these rappers and rockers mostly make the news for all the wrong reason with the loads of shit they speak. If there is some guy who can speak the truth and the right things then he is definitely a person whose views that could be cared about.

50 Cent vs. Kanye West

Filed under: Celebrity, Kanye West, Music, News, Photos, VIP — Tara @ 6:33 pm

50-cent.jpg

If you thought rapper 50 Cent couldn’t get any cockier, think again. Both 50 Cent and Kanye West have new albums due out on September 11th. In the past 50 has outsold West but there has recently been speculation that may not be the case this time around. Because of this 50 has made an outstanding wager. He says that if West’s album sells better than his he will stop writing and recording as a solo artist and will from then on only collaborate with others. 50 Cent has made statements in the past that West would not be successful if he had not been first. I think he’s giving himself too much credit. Kanye West’s music is greatly different from 50 Cent’s style. Though they are both rap they are nothing alike in sound. I personally think Kanye has much more groove and real musical feeling while 50 is all about the lipping off in rhyme. It almost makes me want to buy a cope of Kanye’s disc for every person I know. Why don’t you all do the same and we may be rid of 50 Cent after all?
