50 Cent’s unpleasant surprise
Upon showing up to the set for his upcoming movie, “Twelve”, 50 Cent was met by a horde of screaming girls. However, the rapper found out, much to his dismay, that it was actually Chace Crawford the screaming girls were there for. 50 Cent related the incident: “I made a fool of myself the first day of shooting. I got to my trailer and I saw this huge crowd of girls screaming. I stopped and was kind of having a moment. Then I turned around, and Chace was behind me, and that’s who they were freaking out for. I remember thinking, ‘What kind of bull—– is this?’” Hopefully this did not affect 50 Cent’s acting prowess… after all, he has to be in tip-top shape for his first day on the new job.

Sly scotches Rocky rumours

Hollywood actor Sylvester Stallone has revealed that his 2006 movie Rocky Balboa was the last Rocky movie he will ever make.
The 63-year-old star played the underdog boxer in five of the original movies before heading back to the ring for his sixth Rocky movie in 2006.
However, he has now denied reports that he will make a seventh flick.
He said: “Rocky Balboa is the last Rocky I’ll ever do.
“I did plan to use footage of Apollo in Balboa, but Carl [Weathers, who played boxer Apollo Creed in the first four Rocky movies] refused to let me use his likeness. Ever since Rocky IV, he’s been aggravated that he died.
“Even at the time he was like, ‘Why do I have to die? Why can’t I just be in a coma?’ He’s never forgiven me. But I had my own worries.”
He added: “With Rocky Balboa, I was concerned people would think an older Rocky fighting was one step too far. To some people, it was like Al Pacino doing The Godfather VIII.”

Demi Moore fumes at raunchy stills from hubby Ashton Kutcher’s new movie

Demi Moore reportedly wanted raunchy stills from hubby Ashton Kutcher’s new movie Spread banned.
The 47-year-old allegedly asked for the stills from his new movie banned so she didn’t have reminders of the steamy action that occurs in the film.
Kutcher, 31, gets naked with actress Anne Heche, 40, in the new movie as he plays a man who targets rich and lonely women.
A source said: “Demi doesn’t mind cinema fans ogling her toyboy hubby but she did NOT want these pictures in the press forever reminding her he got so hot with someone else.
“But after all his usual goofy roles, Ashton wanted to show there’s a lot more to him.”

Kiss fires up Downey in Iron Man 2

Gwyneth Paltrow gives Robert Downey Jr a kiss on the helmet in the first scenes from Iron Man 2.
The new trailer for the film – set to hit cinemas in May – gives a sneak peek at what fans can expect from the comic book sequel.
It certainly doesn’t disappoint, with never-before-seen scenes featuring Mickey Rourke as Whiplash, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow and Don Cheadle as War Machine.
Downey has said the new film will stick to the formula that made the first such a box office smash – describing it as a high-tech James Bond.
He says he wanted to make sure the plot of the second film remained grounded and was lucky that, thanks to the success of the first film, producers allowed him to give plenty of input.
“Once you tell a story pretty well, that’s usually where things start to get dull, and one or two or three things start to happen over and over again,” he said.
“So, we made Tony Stark’s challenges very much outside the usual realm of activity. As much as anything else, it’s much more of a side job for him the second time around.
“It would be so easy to go so far out it would be intergalactic and nothing would be grounded in reality any more.
“But I think what worked for ‘Iron Man’ is that it almost seemed like something from the cover of Popular Mechanics.
“These kinds of suits were starting to be made in the States and Japan, so people were responding to Iron Man almost as though it was a more of a high-tech James Bond.”
The film hits cinemas on May 7, 2010.

Avatar star Zoe Saldana says the cast worked hard during two-year shoot

Avatar star Zoe Saldana said the cast worked so hard during the two-year shoot for the movie they didn’t know what to do during breaks in filming.
The 31-year-old actress, who played Uhura in Star Trek earlier this year, plays Neytiri in James Cameron’s much-anticipated movie.
Cameron first had the idea for the film 15 years ago and it features state-of-the-art special effects.
Talking about preparations for shooting, she said: “We did archery and movement. We worked with an amazing choreographer to create a specific walk and mannerisms for the Na’vi because we just couldn’t be human.
“We also did martial arts. Because of who we are, the movement needed to be smooth. We also worked on horseback and there was a lot of training in the gym, so we could sustain rigorous legwork.
“It was important because I am crouching for half the movie. We would have to wear the tail throughout all our movement training in order to allow it to dictate how we were going to swing and movie.”
She added: “We worked for a period of two years off and on and, at one point, we had 15 days with no break.”

She was speaking as she waited in line for a fourth showing.

Johnny Depp to pocket $55m for fourth Pirates movie
Hollywood actor Johnny Depp will reportedly be paid $55m to return as Captain Jack Sparrow in a fourth Pirates Of The Caribbean movie.
Depp’s fee is reportedly more than double the amount usually paid to A-list stars such as Tom Cruise, Will Smith and Harrison Ford.
It is claimed that Disney executives believe the deal will save them money, as The Sweeney Todd star, 46, had originally wanted a percentage of the movie’s profits.

One Disney boss said: “These returns might seem like astronomical figures, but the recession has driven production costs up and profit margins down for everyone.”
He added: “Percentage deals are a thing of the past. They have proved to be so open-ended that, while talented actors have earned fortunes, studios can no longer afford such budget-busting agreements.”
