  • Hollywood star Alec Baldwin said he knows how to correct the balance in Hollywood salaries

    SPL89816_019

Hollywood star Alec Baldwin said he knows the way to correct the disproportionate salaries between men and women in Hollywood – cut Tom Cruise’s salary.

The 51-year-old actor, who most-recently starred in the Cameron Diaz flick My Sister’s Keeper, admitted that if Tom Cruise took home a lower figure, it would make a difference.

He said to E! Online: “I believe we can balance the scales if Tom Cruise would lower his quote by a mere US$29 million.”

He added: “I realise this may be a bit unfair since he’s not here to defend himself and I really don’t want to put this all on one man, but if I had to, that man would be Tom Cruise…

“I assure you my salary would not make a difference. My annual salary is the budget for Altoids on one of Tom’s movies.”

  • Jon Gosselin was ordered by a court to pay his divorcing wife, Kate, $180,000,

    SPL125902_031

Jon Gosselin was ordered by a court to pay his divorcing wife, Kate, $180,000, according to a source.

The reality stars have been warring since Jon pulled the plug on filming of Kate’s new reality show, Kate Plus 8, by ordering network TLC off his property.

Kate whipped Jon into emergency court to claim $232,000 in funds she alleges he took from a joint bank account.

She claimed he was in contempt of their court order relating to the divorce they both filed for in recent months. Kate’s attorney Mark Momjian stated: “The remaining sum of $55,000, which Ms Gosselin used for household bills and expenses relating to the children, will be subject to further determination by the arbitrator at a later date.”

Jon’s deadline for paying the $180,000 is October 26. Kate will have to provide the court with an inventory of her expenses.

  • Snoop Dogg’s $900 Pizza

If you’re planning to go to a Snoop Dogg concert and happen to own a pizza place, you just may end up getting yourself some concert tickets instead of cash as payment. That’s what the employees of a California pizzeria recently found out. It’s being said that the rapper and his tour mate Stephen Marley placed a $900 order with Big Louie’s Pizzeria in Eureka last week. Instead of asking for cash, the restaurant put in a request for concert tickets instead. The two musicians agreed and forked over 12 tickets and a bunch of shirts and hats. If you’re wondering what they ordered to rack up that big a bill, Snoop and Stephen ordered pizza (Stephen stuck to vegetarian pies while Snoop got chicken pesto and chicken garlic extreme), 6 pounds of BBQ ribs and hot wings.

  • 50 Cent sues Taco Bell

    50-cent.jpg

50 Cent is suing US fast food chain Taco Bell for using his name in a ‘guerrilla’ advertising campaign.

The ‘In Da Club’ singer, real name Curtis Jackson, is asking for over $1 million in damages from the company – who asked him to change his name to 79 Cent, 89 Cent or 99 Cent to promote their food.

The suit reads: “Taco Bell traded on the name of the world’s biggest hip-hop star to draw attention to its new, hip-hop-based advertising campaign, and thereby generated massive publicity for its business.”

Taco Bell President Greg Creed wrote to the singer earlier this year, promising to donate $10,000 to his favourite charity if he agreed to change his professional tag. He wrote: “We know that you adopted the name 50 Cent years ago as a metaphor for change. We at Taco Bell are also huge advocates for change. We encourage you to ‘Think Outside the Bun’ and hope you accept our offer.”

50 is upset his fans are accusing him of ’selling out’ by agreeing to promote the brand’s value menu, not realising the adverts were unauthorized.

Britney Spears to pay K-Fed's legal bills

Britney Spears has been told to pay $400,000 of ex-husband Kevin Federline’s legal bills in their child custody battle. The pop star’s lawyer said Federline should pay; claiming his attorney had hiked his fees.

She told how he recently tipped a waitress $2,000 on a $360 bill.

But a judge at a Los Angeles Court said Britney, 26, should pay as her actions caused most of the legal wrangles. He also favoured Federline, 29, for taking responsibility for kids Preston, two, and Jayden, one.

  • Mr. Beck Sports Armani

    beckham Sports Armani

All I can say to this story is yum, yum, yum. I think I have just converted to being a soccer fan.

David Beckham, the better half of the Becks, is really going out of his way to show how, umm, HUGE of a star he is. He’s taken some time off the field to model for Armani’s underwear ad campaign.

The ads are–popping up–in black and white and are, for lack of a better word, amazing. I’m ready to shell out some cash for underwear, pictures, a night with Beck, whatever they’re selling.

    Mmm, mmm, good.

  • Kylie Minogue Home Wear

    kylie-minogue.jpg

Ok, well we have had perfume, clothes and recently make-up from our singers and actresses…but Kylie Minogue has gone one step further and plans to release her own brand of home wear. Not curtains, but bedlinen, throws, cushions and maybe even pots. Brings a whole new meaning to sleeping with Kylie!

The singer has already planned most of the line, and promises it will be “fun”. Well I suppose being rich and famous isn’t enough for our stars anymore – they have to have their own brand of something just to make sure we know who they are. So you can have the J-Lo scent, the Nicole (Girls Aloud) make-up and now the Kylie bedspread. That’s if you’re that sad….

  • Wanna See 50 Cents’ House?

    Wanna See 50 Cents' House?

It’s only been three years since rapper 50 Cent bought a 48,000 square foot mansion belong to Mike Tyson. Back then, the place was decorated in turquoise and purple and, in 50’s own words, “It kind of had a ‘Miami Vice’ feel.”It didn’t take long, though, for 50 to put his mark on the home. The enormous 19-bedroom home, located in Farmington, Connecticut, has a nightclub complete with a swing hanging from the ceiling.

On Thursday, 50 will invite viewers to tour his home on a special edition of MTV’s “Cribs”. This invitation comes just before he moves out of the home, which he’s selling for $18.5 Million.

50 originally bought the home because of the space it would provide. He and his G-Unit cronies could record there. Some of the other rappers he works with, such as Tony Yayo, have their own rooms, and 50 himself records in his basement.

So, why’s he selling? He says he is tired of the more than two hour commute to New York City, and he’s in the market to downsize. When asked about a future home purchase, he said, “It might be a lot smaller. The basics – maybe four or five bedrooms.”

Better get your look on while you have the chance – the next owner might not invite us in.

  • Amy Winehouse Blows Off Video Shoot

Amy Winehouse Blows Off Video Shoot

The hot mess that is Amy Winehouse has canceled or screwed up more shows/gigs/shoots than I can keep count of. Adding to the list of ‘Winehouse Disappointments’ is her latest video shoot for “Love Is a Losing Game.” Staff and film crew waited over 15 hours for Winehouse to show up for the video shoot, but she was a no-show. The shoot eventually had to be canceled and cost the studio 70,000 pounds. Amy is one girl whose going down the drain everyday. She gets up in the morning and is quite like Britney Spears these days, there is always something weird brewing up in both their lives now days. Amy, when she is in Canada there she is caught carrying cocaine or heroin in her hand bag, she cancels video shoots and gigs very much like Britney who at times will forget to pay her dancers. And right now she in that phase of her life that if her manager or anyone tells her that it has cost the studio 70,000 pounds she won’t regret it she will simply pay the money and show off.

  • Kim Cattrall Desperate For Money

    kim_cattrall-sexy.jpg

Actress Kim Cattrall only agreed to reprise her role as sassy Samantha in the new Sex And The City Movie if she received a substantial wage – because she was desperate for the money. Wow, Hollywood is ready getting on my nerves. For heavens sake, she’s an actress and has a lot of publicity and promotions to associate her persona with. I hope the movie turns out really fun and exciting, and may she get the highest pay. Kim broke a lot of trends and rules on Mainstream TV. She’s a total risk taker, divine and unique. Plus, she’s done alot of modeling from time to time. Attention to all movie executives “STOP TAKING ADVANTAGE HER”. More over I am certainly one of those who thinks that women should receive equal pay as what their male counter parts receive as salary for doing big budget movies.
