Madonna is pretty much expected to have a positive result this week regarding the adoption of David Banda but her exploits in Malawi don’t stop there. The Queen of Pop is said to be planning to build a multi-million dollar girls’ school in Malawi for underprivileged children this year as said by her local lawyer on Wednesday. Her lawyer Alan Chinula told Reuters “A task force of four prominent Malawians has already been formed to head the project which will be on the scale of what Oprah Winfrey has in South Africa.” Meanwhile, he also says that Madonna will not attend the final court ruling on her adoption bid because she is busy with other engagements.

Lindsay Lohan has been having a lot of trouble getting work lately. But of the few that she does get, you still can trust her to do a good job. The so-called actress was billed as a co-host on countless radio spots for the big Wango Tango concert on Saturday night in Irvine but she couldn’t be bothered to show up until 9PM. The show started at 6:30 PM! Organizers were scrambling because they thought she was going to be a no-show. Miley Cyrus even joked on stage that Lindsay was flaking because she was afraid of her. Lindsay showed up after Miley went on. It may hold some truth.

Life & Style is reporting that John Mayer arrived at the Mandarin Oriental hotel in Miami Beach around noon on Thursday. That’s the same hotel where Jennifer Aniston is staying. In Touch is also reporting that after filming in Miami for 3 months, Jen planned a wrap party for ‘Marley & Me’ in which John was scheduled to perform a 3-song set on May 10. A source said “Everything was changed last minute so John could do this for her. He’s crazy about Jen. It’s hot and heavy but in that very cool way. John isn’t gong to hide his adoration and he’s telling everyone what a cool chick Jen is.” It looks like their relationship is going strong.

Another new A-list relationship looks to be nicely taking shape.

Kirsten Dunst and Ryan Gosling have finally gone public after being spotted snogging each other’s faces off at a New York club last night. Kirsten met the actor shortly after leaving Utah’s Cirque Lodge rehab clinic last month.

A source said: “They were making out publicly. They didn’t even try to hide it.”

The couple were first spotted together on a date at New York’s Freemans restaurant two weeks ago.

An onlooker said: “They were definitely acting like they were on a date. They lingered there for hours.”

Kirsten, 25, has been single since splitting from Razorlight frontman Johnny Borrell last year.

Ryan, 27, split from his The Notebook co-star Rachel McAdams in April 2007 after a two-year relationship.

First there was Bennifer, then there was Brangelina, Tomkat and Reesenhaal.

Somehow Dunling doesn’t have the same appeal.

Madonna has dramatically scrapped her two-year bid to adopt a Malawian girl.

Instead she will support the orphan financially from Britain.

The 49-year-old singer told aides she has been left “exhausted” by a mountain of red tape. Her adoption of Malawian son David Banda, two, was finalised this month. Pals were sure she would be bringing home Mercy, also two, as a sister for him.

But Madonna — who has two other children and is wed to Brit film director Guy Ritchie — feared another two years of legal wrangling.

A family friend said: “Madonna wanted to adopt a boy and a girl. But Mercy’s relatives objected and she had a complete turnaround. Everyone was stunned. Normally nothing will stop her. She now believes David will be the last child she adopts. Instead she will support orphans through her charity.”

According to UK’s The Sun, Lily Allen is being treated for depression at a top English residential facility. If history serves true, this piece of info is also a fact as the paper was first to break the news about her pregnancy and subsequent miscarriage. And if you’ve been reading celebrity gossip blogs lately, you would know that friends and family were wanting for Lily to go on a “vacation” soon. I guess now is the time for it. Also, the paper adds that the 22-year old singer is “allowed” to leave the ward to see friends and work on her show during treatment.

As if you didn’t see enough in her nude remakes of Marilyn’s risque poses. Now you can go see self-selected photographs of Lindsay Lohan’s tattoos.

Apparently the celeb decided people had seen that much of her, why not show them up close and personal. You can see her famous “breathe”, the “La Bella Vita” inscription, and her star on her wrist. Lindsay says the photos she selected show the “mood behind her tattoos”.

Lily Allen has dismissed reports in the UK press that many audience members walked-out of filming for her new TV show last week. The UK pop star has taken to her blog to respond to reports in the national press that the first episode of the chat show was beset by problems.

This weekend, the Mail On Sunday claimed one third of the crowd at “Lily Allen & Friends” left because they were bored. However, Lily says some were forced to leave because the recording had overrun and people had to get home.

She wrote: “Thank you to the ever supportive ‘Mail On Sunday’, they insinuated a third of the audience left because they were bored with the content of the show. In fact, due to it being the FIRST show we’ve done we ran over a little and naturally a small number of the audience had to catch the last trains back to wherever they came from.”

Elsewhere in the online posting, Lily said she is nearing completion on her new album, the follow-up to 2006 debut “Alright, Still”.

Having a miscarriage can be hard on a woman and on a relationship. Lily Allen knows.

After suffering the loss of her baby with rocker Ed Simons, Lily has called it quits. Well, for now anyway. Rumors have flown that the two are broken up, but some sources say they spent time together today. Her rep has no comment at this time.

A friend simply says, “She is feeling fine. She is throwing herself into her work on her new album and TV show.”

When drink driving it seems everyone gets his or her come-uppance eventually. Lindsay Lohan may have thought she got off easily after only spending 84 minutes of her 24 hr sentence in jail. The actress was also sentenced to 10 days community service; some of which she has served with the Red Cross.

However four of her days are not something to be looking forward to. The 21 year old will spend two days alongside corpses in a hospital morgue and two days in the A&E department.

The jobs are designed to show Lindsay the consequences of her crime. I wonder if it will have the desired effect…

Ask Sylvester Stallone what he thinks of ex-fiancee Janice Dickinson, and he’ll tell you that she’s just a bloodsucking publicity freak who will say anything to get in the headlines. He says that she pours out lie after lie.

When she went on “Red Eye” hosted by Greg Gutfeld on Fox News, she said that Sly used to take steroids. She also accused him of injecting her with them, saying, “He juiced me. I’d wake up and my arm was as big as Popeye - steroids, testosterone, all that stuff.” Sly says that’s all false.

His exact response? “Janice Dickinson lied about the origin of her child and she’s lying about this.” For those who don’t know, she was engaged to Sylvester in the early 1990s. She claimed she was pregnant with his child, but then DNA tests showed that the father was actually Michael Birnbaum.

London has been quiet over the festive period, but that is all bound to change now Amy Winehouse has returned to home soil. And the break away with Bryan Adams for Christmas doesn’t seem to have improved her mental state any.

Erratic Amy obviously deemed the flight a perfect time to put on a mini one-woman fashion show. No less than three clothing changes before she touched down on English soil following her Caribbean holiday.

She strolled into Barbados airport (where she kipped on a sofa) wearing a flowery crop top, then swapped it for her notorious red bra and an East 17-inspired string vest. It did not take long for her to realise that England is not quite as balmy as the Caribbean and swiftly changed again into a grey T-shirt and beige cardigan

Not only did the holiday not seem to improve her craziness, but Amy looked no different at all. Not a tan in sight – in fact if anything she just looks a bit dirtier. Is there no helping this woman?

Lily Allen was known for having a sharp tongue; previously slagging off fellow stars and being generally bitchy. But then she claimed that the new look Lily no longer had the low confidence that was the cause of her nastiness, after losing a stone and a half.

However, it was recently revealed that the singer hit out at young mothers, saying, “People are having kids too young and nothing is being done about it.”

Despite the fact she is expecting her first child at the young age of only 22.

Apparently she said this before finding out she was expecting…so she’s not as contradicting as she sounds. After revealing her first pregnancy with Chemical Brothers star Ed Simons, Lily insists she is ‘thrilled’.

Lindsay Lohan is one of many celebs who have taken themselves on holiday for the start of the New Year; but I doubt all of the stars are getting to know the locals quite as well as Lindsay seems to be.

In just 24 hours of her arrival on the Italian island of Capri, the 21 year-old Mean Girls actress managed to snog not one but three Italian hunks.

She was first snapped locking lips with waiter Alessandro Di Nunzio shortly after her arrival. Then, just a few hours later she was smooching with handsome actor Eduardo Costa. And finally Lindsay rounded off her trio with longhaired actor Dario Faiella.

An onlooker said “Lindsay certainly likes her men and judging by her efforts over the weekend, they love her too. She wasn’t content to share a snog with just one fella - it seemed like she wanted them all. She certainly set tongues wagging.”

You know how when there’s a big pink elephant in the middle of the room, most people choose to ignore it? Well, this is kind of like that. In an irony to end all ironies, a woman was arrested to five days in jail for snapping a picture of R&B singer R Kelly in court. What about putting the guy with child porn charges behind bars? Or take him to trial at least!

49-year old Jean Johnson used her cellphone camera to take picture of Kelly during a recent hearing. She plead guilty to contempt of court and was sentenced to the 5 days.

Mom-to-be Lily Allen has spoken about her life in the new issue of Harper’s Bazaar. She talks about her body, her bad habits, her diet and exercise, Britney Spears, celebrity role models and even her relationship with Chemical Brothers member Ed Simons.She was asked whether her relationship with Ed has helped melt away the pounds. She responded with “I’m certainly getting more exercise in the bedroom…So yeah.” It’s also added some pounds – in the form of a baby! So here’s to hoping that Lily would quit smoking and that she won’t starve herself during this delicate period. Otherwise, she might give birth to something that looks like Amy Winehouse on a really bad day.

Move over Kirstie Alley - there’s a new princess, I mean, ah, Queen in town.

Queen Latifah is the newest celeb to join Kirstie and pal Valerie Bertinelli as a spokesperson for the Jenny Craig weight loss program. JC has confirmed that Queen will start in January.

Queen Latifah is one of the few celebrities who has been proud of her plus-sized figure over the years. According to Jenny Craig’s people, her ads won’t be about getting smaller or fitting into a certain size dress, but will be focused on living a healthier lifestyle.

They say, “We are thrilled to have Queen Latifah support our mission of improving health by taking her first step toward achieving a more healthful lifestyle.”

Congrats, Queen, but don’t forget that big is beautiful, too!

Umm, even with her perfectly coiffed hair, chiseled face, and packin’ hubby, Victoria Beckham (a.k.a. Posh Spice) has her not-so-good days.Take this weekend, for instance, at one of the Spice Girls reunion concerts. Maybe she should rethink the ridiculously skin hugging outfits because this one was hugging a little too tightly.

Apparently swollen, lumpy body parts run in the Beckham family these days.

If you say Amy Winehouse is a hot mess, chances are that everyone around you would agree. And no one knows this fact better than her own mother. Mother knows best after all.

In an open letter which was published in the UK’s News of the World, Janis Winehouse pleaded for her daughter to get help. In the letter, Janis writes “You are still my baby and you always will be. I pile hope upon hope that you will make that decision, Amy, and your strong will can bend for just a moment to make that decision and come home to me… Early fame has overwhelmed you, it’s dizzied you and muddled your mind… remember you’re just an ordinary human being, no stronger than any of the rest of us. You think you’re strong enough to get through this on your own, darling, but you’re not.”

It appears that her spree of bad decisions isn’t over yet. Apparently she wasn’t a bad enough role model for her boys. I guess her album’s doing so poorly that she has to steal just to get by.

According to the owner of a Sherman Oaks, California, Chevron gas station, Britney stole a lighter from the store on Friday night.

Britney stopped at the store and bought a pack of gum. On her way out of the store, she picked up a blue lighter. A photographer who was in the area reminded her that she “forgot” to pay for it, and she “sarcastically responded, ‘I stole something. Oh, I’m bad!’”

What the crap? How much does a lighter cost?

Jatinder Kaur, the owner of the Chevron, had this to say, “Yes, Britney stole a blue lighter here last night. The lighter is $1.39. I’m hoping maybe the next time she comes back she will pay for it. I know she can afford to pay for it, but I’m not planning to file a police report. It’s still not right for her to steal the lighter. I hope she will do the right thing the next time she comes here.”

Keira Knightley and Ellen talked extensively about Keira’s many nude photo shoots. Keira readily admitted that she was well on her way to total nudism.

Umm, ok, maybe this isn’t meant to be strictly commentary, but I for one don’t want to see her nude. I mean, look at the chick. Her body fat percentage is like -10%. You can see her bones, and I can’t imagine seeing her completely naked.

Nonetheless, I have to give her props for having the balls to do it. I mean, I wouldn’t dare strip of the clothes and let anyone take my photog. Keira, just eat some dinner before you pose - you need some meat on those bones, honey.

It’s been long overdue, if you ask me. But court documents released on Tuesday state that child welfare services are actually investigating Britney Spears for “multiple child abuse and neglect” allegations.

This information was included in a request from the L.A. County Department of Children and Family Services. They requested that the court unseal some of the documents regarding Britney, Kevin Federline, and their two sons, two-year-old Sean Preston and one-year-old Jayden James.

No specific allegations are mentioned, but family services agents did not request an alteration of the custody agreement at this time. Federline currently has custody of the boys because Britney fafiled to follow through with a court order for regular drug testing. She does, however, have supervised visits with the children.

Maybe this investigation will wake her up to the reality of the situation. Maybe she’ll start to put her children first and herself second. Maybe….

Lily Allen needs to make up her mind. She once said in an interview that the reason she started exercising to lose weight was because of a heart murmur but in the cover article of British GQ, she’s saying otherwise.

Lily is well known for publicly attacking every celebrity and she says “A lot of that stuff I said was because I didn’t feel confident. I felt like, ‘Oh God, I’m short, fat, ugly…and I hate all these people who flaunt their beauty.’ Ever since a kid I’ve felt like I’m possibly the uncoolest, naffest person ever to walk the earth. But I feel great at the moment. I actually don’t have one bad thing to say about anything.”

So did she lose weight for her health or did she lose it because she was insecure?

Ok it has to be a celebrity thing. I myself am currently seven months pregnant and despite the fact everyone says you “bloom” and “look beautiful”; the best way I can describe the way you feel is whale like. But recently we have seen naked celebs on the front of magazines showing of their perfect bodes with their perfect baby bumps. It’s enough to make a normal woman like me a) mightily jealous and b) a little bit sick.

But you can’t deny beauty when you see it. After keeping her pregnancy a supposed secret (well let’s face it we all knew for ages didn’t we?); Jennifer Lopez was snapped at a recent LA film event, proudly showing off her baby bump. And you’ve guessed it; she looked fabulous.

J-Lo has been reluctant to volunteer details such as the sex of the baby or when he or she is due; but she and husband Marc Anthony looked very happy together as Marc gave her substantially swollen belly a loving pat in front of the photographers. She looked happy, elegant and motherly. Good for her.

While Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea still has another home to sleep in, the person living in the Malibu house he owned that burned down can’t say the same. The said man happens to be musician/producer Butch Walker.

A source close to the rock star reveals that “Butch lost everything. He had been renting Flea’s house for a while and was in the process of buying it. The house completely burned down.” What’s especially crippling to Butch, who had a home studio, lost the masters to every song her ever recorded – computers, equipment, instruments, song lyrics, everything.

Friends of his are now rallying together to help get Butch the essentials like clothes for him and his baby and are hoping that someone in the position to help will.

Somebody’s been chugging down the egg nog way too early. A fan ran into the lead Pussycat Doll and hot mess known as Nicole Scherzinger on the night before Thanksgiving and she reported just how their meeting went.

“So I saw Nicole Scherzinger in her hometown of Louisville, KY last night at Felt. She was completely wasted, kept singing a terrible version of that overplayed ‘Buttons’ song and acted kind of put out that I wanted a pic.” And judging by the picture, yeah, I think she’s completely out of it.

Perhaps Nicole was drowning her sorrows away over her solo album being pushed back several times.

Pre-teen fans are anxiously awaiting Billy Ray Cyrus’ upcoming film with daughter Miley. The Disney Channel stars are working out the details for the filming of their Hannah Montana movie. Cyrus is hoping filming will take place in their home state of Tennessee.

The movie is based on the duos popular Disney Channel series where Miley plays Miley Stewart, a young girl who moves from Tennessee to Malibu to live out the dream as a pop star. By day, she is simply Miley, a high school student who gets in her share of normal teenage scrapes. In the evening hours, she secretly performs as Hannah Montana, a popular musical performer.

In the proposed movie version, the Stewarts make a return visit to Tennessee. Billy Ray feels strongly that it should be filmed there as well.

Billy Ray reportedly told the Associated Press, “The thing of it is, Walt Disney really wants to film this movie in Tennessee.” The problem is that there may not be enough financial backing coming from state officials. It isn’t that officials don’t want the film, though. The executive director of the Tennessee Film, Entertainment, and Music Commission is quoted as saying, “It would mean a real impact on tourism and it would be a family friendly film that would come to the state.”

Louisiana is competing for the filming privileges. Tennessee officials are anxious to make their offer and see how it compares to that of Louisiana.

The Cyrus’ spent Thanksgiving in Tennessee with family and celebrated Miley’s 15th birthday with a sold-out concert show in Nashville. They are looking forward to the possibility of returning in April to shoot the film.

Lord knows why, but Amy Winehouse is completely lovesick despite having not much reason to be. The singer’s husband Blake Fielder-Civil is currently in jail for attempting to tamper with a case but Amy can’t get her mind off him even as she’s on a tour of the UK.

At a concert in Glasgow this past weekend, the troubled singer revealed how she plans to commemorate their upcoming six month anniversary. “I’m going to send him a bouquet of flowers. And I want everyone here to send Blake a red rose.”

The drug tests and court dates apparently have not kept Britney Spears from finding a new man. It was love from the moment he asked for her order.

Reports are that the former (current?) pop diva has been secretly dating Michael Marchand for about two weeks. She met him when he was her waiter at Mirabelle, a Los Angeles bistro.

Inside sources say the pair has been texting each other quite frequently and Britney has been seen having dinner with him several times. On Tuesday, the pair was caught leaving a restaurant together and photographers snapped the pic.

Those close to Britney say, “Their chemistry was immediate. He’s very turned on by her.” Umm, hello? He’s a warm blooded male and is breathing, right?

He’s not commenting right now, although we can bet he’s dying to spread the news that he’s the latest of Britney’s rash decisions. His only remark so far is to smile and say, “I can’t talk about that right now.”

As for Britney, she’s picking out wedding rings and looking for a justice of the peace in Vegas. Gotta snag him before he realizes what he’s gotten himself into!
