Bad news ladies…Johnny Depp is officially off the market as of this summer. Boo.

He and Vanessa Paradis are getting married on June 14, it has been claimed.

The pair – who have been together for over 10 years and have two children, eight-year-old Lily-Rose and six-year-old Jack – have always insisted they don’t feel the need to legalise their relationship, but French singer Vanessa is now keen to tie the knot.

A source close to the couple is quoted as saying: ‘Vanessa recently told Johnny that she would love to have a wedding. Johnny loves Vanessa very much, and he said if that’s what would make her happy, then he would marry her.’

‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ star Johnny – who recently said the couple were ‘for all intents and purposes married’ – is planning to have the ceremony in Georgia to make it convenient for his family who live in Florida. The source added: ‘Lily-Rose and Jack are really excited about it.

Actually - the whole family is excited. They’re going to send out invitations in a few weeks.’ Johnny has previously admitted he would be reluctant to tie the knot because he loves Vanessa’s surname.

He said: ‘It would be a shame to ruin her last name! It’s so perfect - Vanessa Paradis. So beautiful. It would be such a drag to stick her with Paradis-Depp. It’s like a flat note! ‘But if she ever said, ‘Hey, let’s get hitched’, I would do it in a second. We’ll do it if the kids want us to, or maybe when the kids are old enough to enjoy it with us.’

Johnny Depp would love to play Michael Jackson in a movie about his life.

It was rumoured that the 44-year old actor based his Willy Wonka character in ‘Charlie and The Chocolate Factory’ on the eccentric singer. However he says, “I have heard that I based Willy Wonka on Michael Jackson before, but no, that was not my plan, I wish I had thought of that though. But there is still time to play him. He might get up to his old tricks again and maybe there will be a TV movie about him!”

Johnny - who stars as a murderous barber in ‘Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street’ - also revealed he had no intention of sounding like David Bowie in the musical film.

He added: “I wouldn’t ever dream of attempting to channel David Bowie because he is one of my heroes. But if there is a similarity it wasn’t intentional. It’s a nice compliment though.”
