Will Ferrell is auctioning a cameo spot in his new movie to raise money for a fraternity brother’s cancer foundation.

Ferrell came up with the idea to help Craig Pollard’s Cancer for College foundation. The two were fraternity brothers at the University of Southern California.

Online bidding will begin Monday and close Sept. 26. Ferrell will announce the winner on Sept. 27, and that person will meet the actor the next day at the 14th annual Cancer for College golf tournament dinner at Temecula Creek Inn.

The opening bid for the movie appearance is $5,000.

In October, the winner will join Ferrell on set of his new movie, “Step Brothers,” and appear in a scene.

“What a perfect Christmas present for your son or daughter,” Ferrell said. “It is the surefire way to win the parent of the year award. Support this amazing cause, by buying them me.”

Pollard, a two-time survivor of Hodgkin’s disease, started Cancer for College to provide college scholarships to current and former cancer patients. The charity has awarded $200,000 to 50 cancer survivors since 1993.

Here we go again! Rumor on the block is that Halle Berry is knocked up. Producers have pushed back plans on filming “Tulia” in October because Berry is 3 months pregnant. Yup, she is! Halle Berry confirmed to Access Hollywood her happy baby news on Tuesday. The actress told the TV show, “Yes, I am three months pregnant! Gabriel [Aubrey] and I are beyond excited, and I’ve waited a long time for this moment in life. Now the next seven months will be the longest of my life!” Oh and good for her because her past men were ASSBAGS. Gabriel is so effin’ man-pretty! Many times the most intelligent looking woman fall for the most absurd looking guys and that’s one part of Halle that I never been able to quite fully understand.

Hollywood star Mel Gibson is tipped to reunite with Mad Max director George Miller in forthcoming superhero move Justice League. A number of A’ list stars are being linked with the film, which unites comic book heroes Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman and Flash. Reunion hahaa, they might be reuniting to produce a big time flop movie. Too many super stars in the same movie and what will each one of them being doing – something like Ocean’s movie, all of them parking in the same parking lot and smashing each others window panes. You can pay big star big money but the most vital clog is having a good script where in all the actors have a significant role to play or else the audiences go to the theaters and find that their favorite movies star is looking more of a jerk delivering dialogues that make him look like a hotel gate attendant rather than a character. I do not mean offense to any those the actors who are in the ‘Justice League’ at all.

Angelina Jolie saw firsthand the plight of conflict refugees stranded in the blazing desert near the Syrian-Iraqi border in a visit this week to highlight their ordeal.

The American actress, who is a goodwill ambassador for the U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees, traveled to Syria and Iraq on Monday and Tuesday, the agency said in a statement. Jolie also separately visited U.S. troops in the area.

“I have come to Syria and Iraq to help draw attention to this humanitarian crisis and to urge governments to increase their support for UNHCR and its partners,” Jolie was quoted as saying by the Geneva-based agency on Tuesday.

She headed home from Syria on Wednesday according to UNHCR officials, after a visit wrapped in secrecy and with no media coverage.

The 32-year-old star of the movie traveled to the al-Waleed refugee camp on the Iraqi side of the border and spoke to some of the 1,200 refugees stranded there, prevented from entering Syria, UNCHR said.

“It is absolutely essential that the ongoing debate about Iraq’s future includes plans for addressing the enormous humanitarian consequences these people face,” she said.

The camp is in a no man’s land between the two countries, one mile from the Iraqi border post and 4.5 miles from the Syrian border.

Jolie, who wore a blue flak jacket and a helmet when she arrived unannounced at the camp, was not immediately recognized by many of the refugees, a large number of whom are Palestinians who have been stranded in the desert encampment since December.

Unlike Iraqis, who are allowed to enter and settle in Syria, Palestinian residents of Iraq are mostly prevented from entering the country, leaving them stranded at the border.

Jolie spent two hours there talking with the refugees through a translator, taking notes, all the while surrounded by bodyguards, according to Qusai Mohammed Saleh, 33, a Palestinian refugee.

“I didn’t recognize her right away, but after she was introduced as Angelina Jolie, I remembered a little, from some of her movies,” he told The Associated Press by phone from the camp.

“She did not like the tragic situation,” Saleh said, adding that she inspected the camp’s medical and hygiene facilities.

Fellow refugee Awad Talha Awad, 48, said he had hopes the visit would make a difference. “Our situation is so difficult,” he said, adding that Jolie was “moved” by some of the conditions she witnessed.

“She felt the sun,” he said of the raging midday summer temperatures. “She did not make any promises but she said, ‘we will make an effort to resolve your situation.’”

UNHCR estimates that more than 4.2 million Iraqis have been displaced since the 2003 U.S.-led invasion, and of these, about two million have fled to neighboring countries, mainly Syria and Jordan, placing a heavy strain on their resources.

It’s a boy for Bridget Moynahan and New England Patriots’ quarterback Tom Brady. The actress gave birth to the baby in Los Angeles on Wednesday, Moynahan’s publicist Christina Papadapoulos said in a statement. “Both mother and baby are doing well,” she said.
Other details were not immediately released.

Brady’s whereabouts weren’t known. He wasn’t on the field or sidelines for the first 15 minutes of practice on Wednesday and Patriots spokesman Stacey James said he didn’t know when Brady would rejoin the team.

It also wasn’t clear whether Brady would play in the Patriots’ third exhibition game Friday against the Carolina Panthers. A call to his agent, Donald Yee, wasn’t immediately returned.

Brady, 30, had said earlier this week that he would like a few days off for the birth of his first child, calling the event “a very joyous, happy situation.”

Moynahan and Brady split up late last year after a three-year relationship. Brady, who has been dating supermodel Gisele Bundchen, wasn’t on the field or sidelines for the first 15 minutes of Patriots practice Wednesday.

The quarterback had said he wanted a few days off to attend the birth of his first child. It was unknown if he arrived before the baby was born.

Moynahan, 36, is a former model who has starred in such films as “Coyote Ugly,” “I, Robot” and “The Sum of All Fears.” Her television credits include “Sex and the City” and the ABC series “Six Degrees.”

Surveying the current Hollywood landscape – and the mounting number of youthful casualties of late – former child star Brooke Shields says she has no particular advice to offer young stars.

“I think a lot of these girls are young, and it’s all so tempting,” Shields, 42, tells Redbook in its September issue. “For some reason I wasn’t tempted. I don’t know why.”

Looking back, she says, “Sometimes I wish I was a little more tempted to have a little more fun. But then I see them” – Shields mentions no one by name – “and someone will ask, ‘Well, what do you want to say to so-and-so?’ I don’t want to say anything to them. I want to talk to their mothers.”

Shields’s own mother, Teri Shields, who originally managed her daughter, came under a firestorm of criticism for her treatment (some said exploitation) of her budding star. The two eventually separated professionally.

“People used to say my mom used me as a commodity,” the actress now says. “But you know what? She did her own version dysfunctional behavior, sure, but nothing like you see these days.”

When it comes to the sort of mother she is with her own daughters, Rowan, 4, and Grier, born in May 2006 (their dad is Shields’s husband of six years, TV writer-producer Chris Henchy), Shields says: “I always feel like the odd mom out, because trust me when I tell you I’m on my girls. And every time I am, I know from the outside it looks like I’m an overbearing, controlling parents. But I don’t think we have any responsibility to anybody else but our kids and ourselves.”

Not that Shields apologizes for being strict. “The worst part about it is when I look at my daughter [Rowan], and she’ll be fighting with some other kid, and I have to be careful not to always make it her fault. But I can only tell her what to do – I can’t tell the other kid. I’ll tell her, ‘Hey, you suck it up; you give him the toy, and we’ll talk about it later.’ ”

Admits Shields, “So she’s the one who always has to take the high road, which is hard for a 4-year-old.”

I applaud Mr. Anthony for his comments. Although, I have seen bad kids from good parents. Marc Anthony continues to show style and grace in his personal life as he does while performing. In certain cases it is true that with a strong family foundation most children will carry their values into adulthood. I believe in the situations mentioned by Mr. Anthony, it is the fact that wealth and fame built on the backs of their parents which makes them think they are invincible. These girls have been pampered so badly at a young age that they think life is all but being good. For then being good is boozing all night, having drugs in their pockets as if it were a show piece that makes you free entrant at every disc and happening party in Calif so on and so forth. I doubt that even motherhood would change their perception to life and how to lead a dignified life. But accusing these girls won’t change them, if their parents haven’t been able to and the several stints at the high profile rehabs haven’t been effective then what will?

Ewan McGregor has finished his 15,000 mile motorcycle journey from Scotland to South Africa. The Trainspotting star and his actor pal Charley Boorman began the road trip at John O’Groats in Scotland in May, and reached their final destination of Cape Town, South Africa, on Friday. The trip would have been exhilarating and great fun, this is a completely man’s domain. Riding on your bike all across the continent with your buddy and having those stop in the night at beautiful country sides and make tire changes when there is a puncture. It should have been a truly enriching experience that the two would never forget for their lives. The journey - which took the friends through Europe, Libya, Ethiopia, Sudan and Rwanda - will be broadcast on BBC2 television series The Long Way Down. This should be a fun series to watch on TV and have a look at where these guys went and what they did.

Breaking reports out of Hollywood are announcing that today will be the official divorce date for Britney Spears and Kevin Federline. Proceedings were started this morning by the attorney’s of both parties. Britney’s lawyer Laura Wasser will be making a motion to keep the custody and spousal support details secret from the press and public. Insiders say that the custody is supposed to split evenly between both parents. However, in recent months Britney’s behaviour has gotten out of control and prompted speculation that Kevin may push for full custody of their two boys. The two have been separated since last November. While Kevin hasn’t been much of a public focus, Britney seems to be getting attention nearly every day for her erratic actions. This is one of those strange situations where it seems that neither parent can prove that they are a better influence and guardian for the kids. Maybe they should both be ordered to attend some parenting classes. In Britney’s case a psychological assessment may be needed. I mean, does she even really know what’s going on anymore?

Harry Potter’s no more magical than the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Like the crime-fighting reptiles, the young wizard’s run atop the weekend box office was brief, ousted after one weekend by Adam Sandler and Kevin James’ I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry. Make no mistake: Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix made a lot of money—$32.2 million (second place), per Exhibitor Relations estimates on Sunday. Its overall 12-day take is a very impressive $207.5 million. Since Television sets took over our lives, I consume about half a dozen movies a week. Some 20 years ago there would not have been more than a single movie in a week. There’s no way to keep producing quality movie at the pace and maintain high standards we have come to know these days, they put more and more of special effects to make a complete movie. SLOW AND STEADY WINS THE RACE JUST ASK THE TURTLE, OR FES PARKER - -WHO?

It isn’t news to anybody what supposedly happened on the set of Grey’s Anatomy. The result was that Isaiah Washington was fired. He recently got back on the horse by landing another role on the “Bionic Woman”. He was recently on the set of “Access Hollywood” where he spoke to Billy Bush. They discussed T.R. Knight’s recent Emmy nomination. Bush asked Isaiah if he thought it was because of the prior incident. Washington surprised many people by saying that he believed Knight had really earned it because he is a wonderful actor. He then added congratulations to Knight. Of course this has already led people into further speculation, wondering why Washington would be so nice. It may seem rather sudden to some. Either way, it’s time to let the dust settle and for all involved to just get over it. It doesn’t do anyone any good to keep rehashing the past.

Pregnant actor Salma Hayek has been voted the ‘Hottest Celebrity in the World’. The E-Poll of 3,000 celebs showed that 65% of the US population deemed the 40 year old Hayek sexier than some of the ‘young Hollywood leading actresses’. Coming close on the heels of Hayek was Jessica Alba who got 64% of the votes. Hayek is really gorgeous and her neck being little long makes the face attractive. But these e-polls are fickle and cannot be trusted as in a few weeks time there shall be a rival poll that will come out with a different result claiming another hottie from Hollywood is more popular and sexier than her various peers and co-stars. What will be most diplomatic and actually true that every one of these beauties is incomparable and we love them all. They are all curvy, great dressing and partying is at the top of their agenda where they all come in number to flaunt their beauty.

Hot on the stiletto heels of wife Victoria Beckham’s NBC special, David Beckham is about to get his own TV show. The 13-part weekly reality series David Beckham’s Soccer USA, from American Idol producer Simon Fuller, will premiere next Wednesday on the FOX Soccer Channel. A few days ago when he first stepped on to the field in LA most people thought he is the person who will change the face on American Soccer something the legendary Brazilian soccer superstar Pele too couldn’t accomplish. But these guys are here to make money and nothing but money. Victoria had already aired her reality show on finding and setting her new home in LA and singer Snoopy too has agreed to reality TV show that will showcase his lifestyle and work and home. Now it’s David’s turn. These guys don’t get it that people are sick of seeing them so often, that it seems like they are living in your living room. Somebody is now gonna kick them in the butt in a very abrupt manner.

Pink has jumped back into the headlines with her recent comments about Britney Spears. In not so many words, she bashed Britney. But I do have to applaud her for trying to keep things respectful. Pink said that her songs are precious and that she’d never write for people like Britney. She only writes for real singers.

In defense of her statement, Pink says that it’s not that she hates Brit because she thinks she’s crazy enough to do one of her songs but that it’s hard to let her songs go to someone who’s more of an entertainer rather than a singer.

Now legally a wife but hardly desperate, Eva Longoria returned to the set of Desperate Housewives Monday after a three-week wedding celebration and honeymoon. The newlyweds dined over long candlelit dinners and spent their days relaxing and playing Ping-Pong and Yahtzee. Honey, ‘work is worship’ they say and your marriage has been the talk of the town recently. You certainly must be glowing in new found happiness. She also should take a little time off from her engagements to go see Tony play in the NBA and support his game more often now. Seeing Tony dribble the ball and do some slam dunk. Hopefully their private moments weren’t captured by a selfish photographer and they would have told the hotel/resort management to keep the paparazzi at some distance from them. If it were to happen then it could really dampen the whole honeymoon fun. Tell you what, it better to hire a homing device or something to keep these people at bay. They had a private villa. She’s completely relaxed and rejuvenated. She had a full week alone with Tony to decompress.

The TV drama “Criminal Minds” is experiencing some controversy on the set. Actor Mandy Patinkin failed to show up on the set for a read through of the script after learning that his character is being written out of the show. Patinkin plays case solver Jason Gideon on the show. It’s believed that this entire incident has arisen because of salary issues that were disputed last year between the star and producers. It seems like the world of television is experiencing its share of real life drama. Grey’s Anatomy certainly has their share. I think some actors are taking their roles for granted. Characters have been killed off and written out time and time again since the beginning of TV history. I don’t understand how actors have gotten it into their heads that the show can’t possibly go on without them. Patinkin’s attitude may just have resulted in ensuring his place in the future on one of those “where are they now?” shows.

It’s like a fairytale or a dream or whatever cheesy stuff you can come up with. Gwen Stefani, her hubby Gavin Rossdale and son Kingston were spotted together running errands. What’s cheesy about that? Well, they about just matched each other with their choices of clothing.

From color coordination to style, they’re pretty much flawless. And they’re just running errands! Imagine what they would look like on a red carpet. Kingston is definitely going to be the most stylish baby around.

Gwen should give Britney Spears some advice on these things – among other things. She needs to be taught to keep clothes on and buy the right sizes before being taught about style though.

Since her arrival in America Victoria Beckham has been almost liked mobbed by the TV channels and now it’s the turn of the producers to sign her up even though it is a cameo role in American comedy Ugly Betty – and what’s more astonishing is that she is being paid a cool $70,000 to do it. Call it Beckham mania or America going ga ga over the arrival of the new super stars of America. Posh will star as her self in the next series of the show. The idea came from actor Eric Mabius, who plays Mode editor Daniel Meades in the show. She will be appearing in just two shows and thus will be netting $35,000 per episode. Her hands are surely full at the moment after announcing that she along with other former Spice Girls shall be doing a world tour starting at the end of the year. Now I think she is beginning to overshadow her soccer star husband David Beckham. But with there being so much competition in the family itself for being rich and famous they would not have to look else where for inspiration. The Beckham brand is certainly growing.

A re-make of the classic Christmas story, A Christmas Carol is going to star Jim Carrey as Ebenezer Scrooge. This was just confirmed by the Walt Disney Co. Oscar winner Robert Zemeckis will direct the movie using his own script based on the classic Charles Dickens story. Jim Carrey is probably a great choice for this role based on his ability to become strange characters. He did very well playing the Grinch and made the movie wildly successful. Of course the script can’t be entirely serious or it just won’t work with Carrey. He has a way of making even the most serious character hard to take serious simply because it’s Jim Carrey. The man is known for his rubber face antics, strange voices and humor. He has tried his hand at more dramatic styles of acting but it just doesn’t seem to be his calling. If the character is designed to have humor a part of it then I see it working out just fine with Carrey. With the many lame and often totally cheesy Christmas movies that are produced each year, this one should give movie goers a sure choice.

One of London’s own, rock legend Rod Stewart gave another concert at Glasgow’s Hampden Stadium in Scotland on Thursday. His wife Penny Lancaster and 19-month old son Alistair Wallace watched from a VIP box. And in keeping with the family being in Scotland, baby Alistair wore a mini Royal Stewart tartan kilt. How cute!

Alistair is the youngest of Rod’s kids. The 62-year old has seven children in total including children with ex-wives, models Alana Hamilton and Rachel Hunter. He has a big thing for models with 36-year old Penny also being a model. They were married last month on the Italian Riviera.
