Lily Allen has dismissed reports in the UK press that many audience members walked-out of filming for her new TV show last week. The UK pop star has taken to her blog to respond to reports in the national press that the first episode of the chat show was beset by problems.
This weekend, the Mail On Sunday claimed one third of the crowd at “Lily Allen & Friends” left because they were bored. However, Lily says some were forced to leave because the recording had overrun and people had to get home.
She wrote: “Thank you to the ever supportive ‘Mail On Sunday’, they insinuated a third of the audience left because they were bored with the content of the show. In fact, due to it being the FIRST show we’ve done we ran over a little and naturally a small number of the audience had to catch the last trains back to wherever they came from.”
Elsewhere in the online posting, Lily said she is nearing completion on her new album, the follow-up to 2006 debut “Alright, Still”.
Jason Statham has defended director pal Guy Ritchie, insisting any criticism of his films is based on jealousy. The 35-year-old - who has worked with Ritchie on Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Revolver and Snatch - believes Madonna’s husband is subjected to criticism because he is so talented. There are positive criticism and negative ones too, you have to be able to differentiate between the good ones that are supporting your work but also drawing out the flaws and there are others who would do it just for the heck of it, they will just lament the movie a shit and give it bad ratings. I am sure that Jason will agree with me here, I think he is being supportive of his friend’s work and that great to see that there exists some good friendship in Hollywood’s cut throat competition even today. Support from close quarters can be very beneficial to a high stress worked up person. Jason keep it going this way.
I totally agree with Courtney Love. Everybody is focused on what Britney is doing wrong. these certain people need to start thinking about who the real Britney spears is….Britney spears is still a very talented, beautiful, hot pop-princess who needs the right support and understanding at this point in her life. Britney is only human and will recover and people need to start realizing that Britney needs positive support and it was not too long ago when Britney was is and will always be a superstar will all the prefix, suffix, adjective and all the good tenses that can be used to describe a beauty like her, she is awesome, hot performer who people played all kinds of money to see in concert. There will never be another Britney spears. I as a sincere fan of hers will always believe in her and I have faith that she will pull through this bad period in her life…..Britney will prevail….For you all who think is finished, just go a lead her life in her shoes for one damn day and if not then just shut up and find the toilet paper in the wash room.
