  • Jim Carrey used to throw himself down the stairs at Christmas

Jim Carrey has revealed that he used to throw himself down the stairs at Christmas.

The Truman Show star, who is dating model Jenny McCarthy, said: “Christmas was really where I started coming into my own as a performer because I did all this stuff on my own, all this performing on my own.

“When other kids were outside playing, I was in my room conjuring characters and impressions and things like that. It came to fruition, it all came together on the Christmas holidays when everybody would come over to our house.

“All the relatives and neighbours and everybody would storm our house because it was the Jim Carrey show. I was a little kid but I would throw myself down stairways and do all kinds of characters.

“That’s how I first got popular within my family. It’s funny, I needed to get popular within my family. That’s really the test. But that was important to me.”

The film director, who had flown to New York to collect his children for the holiday, said he was looking forward to heading back to the UK.

  • Pamela Anderson wants fur-free clothes for Christmas

More specifically, the star wants Stella McCartney’s designs which are all supposedly fur free. She is an ardent campaigner of PETA and loves the designer’s clothes that do not make animals suffer: “All I want for Christmas is Stella McCartney. You feel very alive wearing her clothes and knowing nothing has been killed.” Of course, the industry that produces the synthetic materials required to make clothes doesn’t harm a living thing. She also says she’s giving up all of her leather boots: “I’m getting rid of my UGGs. I feel so guilty for that craze being started around my ‘Baywatch’ days – I used to wear them with my red swimsuit to keep warm – never realizing that they were SKIN! I thought they were shaved kindly. People like to tell me all the time that I started that trend – yikes!” Well, thank god for her great influence with some people!
