Congratulations are in order for the Jonas Brothers as their music video for ‘Burnin Up’ has been nominated for the 200 Video Music Award’s ‘Best Pop Video’ category. The other nominees up for the moon man include Britney Spears with ‘Piece of Me’, Danity Kane with ‘Damaged’, Tokio Hotel with ‘Ready, Set, Go!’ and Panic at the Disco with ‘Nine in the Afternoon’. Apart from being nominated, the band of brothers will also be debuting the second single from their new album ‘A Little Bit Longer’ during the VMAs which will air live from Paramount Studios in Los Angeles on Sunday, September 7, 2008 at 9PM ET.
Britney Spears had an unforgettable performance at the 2007 MTV Video Music Awards but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t get another chance in 2008. President of MTV Networks Music Group Van Toffler said during a recent interview “Everyone deserves a second or third chance, right? I’m not sure how we top Britney opening the show. We are working on it every minute of every day.” This year’s MTV Video Music Awards airs live on September 7 from Paramount Pictures Studios in Los Angeles. They will reportedly have performances and presentations take place anywhere between a sound stage to a roof to a sidewalk.
After much speculation, it has been confirmed. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are expecting another child. This will be their second child together and will be their fifth child total. They have adopted children Maddox (age 6), Pax (age 4), and Zahara (age 3). They already have one birth child, Shiloh (age 1).
Angelina finally showed the baby bump as she and Brad attended the Film Indeendent’s Spirit Awards on Saturday. A source close to them says, “They are very, very happy.”
One of the first Grammy Awards to be handed out on Sunday went to the Queen of Pop, Madonna. The singer won for Best Long Form Music Video for her ‘Confessions’ tour at the pre-telecast ceremony. Congratulations to Madonna! I’m sure that once her new album comes out, she would get a lot more awards considering who she worked with on the album. Justin Timberlake and Timbaland have already proven how much of a powerhouse duo they are behind the sound boards and it’s sure to bring Madonna a good edge for next year’s awards.
Kylie Minogue turned heads with her hotness when she attended that 43rd Goldene Kamera Awards in Berlin, Germany on Wednesday. While she was there, she made sure to clear up the rumors about getting back together with her former flame.
Kylie adamantly denied reports saying that she is back together with French actor Olivier Martinez even thought they were spotted together in Paris last week. She said about being photographed with him last week “I had dinner with my ex-boyfriend and next thing I know there’s a debate about whether we’re having a family. We didn’t even talk about that. As I’ve maintained, we’re friends.”
