Cate Blanchett’s new movie Indian Summer given green light by India

Cate Blanchett’s new movie Indian Summer can finally go ahead after India’s government gave the green light.
Production of the film was temporarily put on hold after Indian government officials wanted to see how the affair between India’s first prime minister Jawaharlal Nehru and the wife of the last British viceroy of India, Lady Edwina Mountbatten, would be portrayed.
Officials have now scrutinised the script and reportedly wanted some parts removed, such as a kiss between the couple and a scene in their bed.
Filmmakers have been told that the work has to be stated as fictional and any changes will need pre-approval.
