‘Weird Al’ Jankovic says he owes his career to Michael Jackson
Comedian ‘Weird Al’ Jankovic says he owes his entire career to Michael Jackson.
The funnyman achieved massive fame after covering Jacko’s Beat It tune and changing it to Eat it.
“He basically changed me from an unknown into a guy that got recognised at Burger King,” Jankovic told Rolling Stone magazine.
“I considered parodying Black or White around that time, but Michael wasn’t quite so into it, because he thought it was more of a message song.”
