Swine flu messes with Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine Premiere
Hugh Jackman’s “X-Men Origins: Wolverine” has been faced with several challenges lately. First was the unauthorized release of the uncompleted movie version in the Internet and now, the swine flu scare is wreaking havoc with the Adamantium-laced Wolverine. The movie was scheduled to have a premiere in Mexico City but this has been postponed no thanks to the swine flu outbreak which has already resulted to the death of more than 100 people in the area.
No new premiere dates have been released by Twentieth Century Fox so far but the studio said they are putting on hold all plans in the area due to the seriousness of the virus. The producers said they are considering not only Hugh Jackman’s health–who is the only “Wolverine’ star scheduled to appear in Mexico for the premiere—but also the well-being of several other people under their employ. There is a however a possibility that the event will be rescheduled.

Katie’s new style book is big business
Model Katie Price is set to release a style book, she has revealed.
Katie, 30, already has a business empire that includes an equestrian range, an underwear line, a bedding collection, range of hair appliances and two perfumes, among other products.
She said: “I’m working on a style book at the moment. One of my favourite chapters is called The Gay In Me and I look like RuPaul! I’m all over the shop, with big hair and make-up.”
She added in her column in the UK edition of OK! Magazine: “It shows all my different looks over the years, although I won’t be changing my hair for a while, I like being dark and it does my hair good being dark.”
Katie also revealed her one-year-old daughter Princess Tiaamii is becoming a bit of a diva.
She said: “It looks like Princess is following in my footsteps too, as she loves having her nails painted and carrying her little handbags – she’s growing up fast, that’s why we’re going to try for another baby towards Christmas.”
Katie had previously said she wanted to try for her fourth baby after completing the London Marathon earlier this month.
But now she said: “It won’t be before then[Christmas] as I want to compete on my horses in the summertime, but after that we’ll begin to try.”

Reality TV star Kim Kardashian has revealed she would like to be a Bond girl and is a fan of the current Bond Daniel Craig.
Kim, 28, stars with her family in E! favourite Keeping Up With The Kardashians and admitted she’d like a big-screen role.
She said: “I’d love to be a Bond girl. I like Daniel Craig!”
Despite starring on a reality show herself, Kim said she likes to watch other celebs’ shows.
Kim added to British magazine Star: “I love the Osbournes. And I watched Pamela Anderson’s show.
“I also watched Denise Richards’ [show], which was cute and I did like watching Li-Lo’s mum’s show, too. I watch them all.”
Kim also took part in dancing show Dancing With The Stars and said she is watching the new series.
She said: “Yeah, I like watching it when I can. My favourite is Lil’ Kim – I think she’s really good.”

Ryan O’Neal out of prison briefly to visit Farrah Fawcett
Farrah Fawcett must be seriously ill for the authorities to allow her son Redmond O’Neal some time off from prison to visit her. Raymond O’Neal was given a three-hour window by jail authorities for a brief visit with his mother Farrah Fawcett who has suffered a Cancer relapse. Los Angeles County Sheriff spokesperson Steve Whtmore said Redmond O’Neil was under the supervision of two deputies who drove him in a patrol car to his father Ryan O’Neal’s place in Malibu.
The reunion between Redmond O’Neil and Farrah Fawcett was very emotional especially when Farrah Fawcett saw his son wearing the orange jail uniform. He was however handcuffed briefly so he can embrace his mother. A total of $1,285 was paid by Redmond O’Neal’s family as cost of personnel and mileage as a result of the visit. Redmond O’Neal was arrested last April 5 for allegedly taking heroine into a Los Angeles jail and will be sentence on April 30.

Star Treks new Captain Kirk not as prolific a ladies’ man
Star Trek’s new Captain Kirk says he doesn’t get as much sex as William Shatner did in the role.
Chris Pine, 28, has revealed his Captain Kirk is less of the ladies’ man than Shatner portrayed in the 1960s series.
“My character does not get … as much as the original Captain Kirk,” Pine said.
Shatner originally played the role of James T. Kirk on TV from 1966 to 1969 and in seven subsequent films.
Although he will not appear in the new Star Trek he has sent Pine his blessing to play the role.
Pine said: “I wrote William Shatner a letter and explained who I was because I heard there was bad blood between him and the studio.
“I said, ‘I’m just an actor who happened to get a role that happened to be James T. Kirk, and I’m not trying to usurp your status or anything’. He replied, ‘Thank you very much for the letter. I wish you the best of luck.’ I have it on my fridge.”

Julia Roberts drops the F-word twice as she honours pal Tom Hanks
Oscar winning star Julia Roberts stunned an audience of fellow celebrities by dropping the F word twice while honouring pal Tom Hanks.
Hanks was being presented with the Chaplin Award at the 36th annual Film Society of Lincoln Center Gala by Roberts when she stole the show.
As Roberts took to the stage to introduce Hanks she said: “It’s late, and I’m paying my babysitter overtime and I have to pee.
“So, everybody f****** likes you.”
Then assessing his 2004 movie The Terminal, in which Hanks played an Eastern European trapped in Immigration at J.F.K., Roberts said: “That movie about you and the airport and the accent was a pass for me.
“Airport? Were you just an immigrant lost? I didn’t know. I love you, but I didn’t know and I’m wearing the same f****** dress tonight as your publicist.”
As Hanks took to the podium, he told the black-tie crowd that Roberts has so much clout that the big story of the evening would be: “Julia Roberts wears same dress as publicist.”
He then added: “Julia Roberts has the biggest potty mouth you have ever heard.”
Hanks, who has appeared in such movies as The Da Vinci Code, Castaway, Saving Private Ryan and Forrest Gump, accepted his award with many of his famous friends and co-stars in the audience.
They included directors Ron Howard, Steven Spielberg, Robert Zemeckis and Mike Nicols and actresses Sally Field and Charlize Theron.

Slumdog Millionaire director Danny Boyle is mourning the death of his uncle
Slumdog Millionaire director Danny Boyle is mourning the death of his uncle after he collapsed and died of a heart attack.
Danny, 52, reportedly travelled to Manchester, UK, from his London home to attend the funeral. His uncle Tommy Boyle, 81, was said to have attended a service at St Mary’s Roman Catholic Church when he collapsed outside.
His twin sister Maria said: "Tommy had a heart attack in the street. Danny travelled up for the funeral. That’s why we’re all here together. It’s very sad."
It was reported that when Danny won his Oscar for Best Director for Slumdog, he took the award and had a pint with his dad Frank, 88, and Tommy.
Priest Father James Manock talked about Tommy, according to British newspaper the Daily Mirror, and said: "Sadly he collapsed after a church service. He was a regular churchgoer."

Salma Hayek had a very musical second wedding
Salma Hayek had a very musical second wedding – with Bono and a host of Hollywood A-listers singing for her.
The sultry actress tied the knot with French billionaire Francois-Henri Pinault at Venice’s famed opera house Teatro La Fenice, just weeks after their first ceremony.
This time, the celebration was held in front of 150 guests, including Penelope Cruz, Javier Bardem, Charlize Theron, Ed Norton, Woody Harrelson and Stella McCartney.
During the ceremony, music kicked in and the guests serenaded the couple with a Hawaiian-style version of The Wizard of Oz classic Over the Rainbow.
Later, at the elegant reception, Hayek, Theron and Harrelson joined Bono on stage to sing Stand By Me.
At one point Theron and McCartney sang Don’t Cry For Me Argentina, from Evita.
Hayek, who by then had changed from a Balenciaga wedding gown for a knee-length fuscia dress, then joined them for the Rolling Stones’ Satisfaction.
By 3am the reception was winding down as one of the last guests, Lucy Liu, departed on foot.
“It was all about love, family and friends,” a wedding guest to People.com.

Samantha Ronson’s twin sister Charlotte said she doesn’t need to give her family fashion advice as they’re already "pretty stylish".
Charlotte, 31, is a fashion designer and has recently launched the UK collection of her clothes line through UK department store Harrods.
But she admitted her family, which includes twin sister and DJ Samantha and also their brother and music producer Mark, 33, do not need advice on what to wear.
Asked if she needs to give them tips, she said: "I think they are already pretty stylish."
She also admitted her sister is a fan of the range and she provides her with inspiration. Charlotte added to British magazine Company: "Samantha wears them and I design each season with her in mind."
She said that being a twin helped her to experiment more with clothes when she was growing up.
Charlotte said: "I’ve always loved fashion. As a twin, it was that much more important to be my own person and I experimented through clothes.
"Growing up with an extremely stylish mum helped lots, too."

Russell Crowe still dislikes journalists despite latest movie role.
Russell Crowe says he still dislikes journalists, despite playing one in his latest movie, State of Play.
Crowe, 45, plays a newspaper journalist who investigates a murder under the watchful eye of his editor, played by Dame Helen Mirren.
However, Crowe refuses to change his opinion on the media.
Asked if he now has any sympathy for reporters, the Gladiator actor said:
“Absolutely none whatsoever, no. You tell me why I should. You give me the list and I’ll listen to it.”
Crowe’s co-star Mirren said she loved working with him.
“I think a lot of people rather secretly wanted to boss Russell Crowe about but I got the opportunity to do it.
“He was just so cool and great to work with. I loved it,” she said on GMTV.

Harrison Ford takes family to visit the White House
Hollywood star Harrison Ford is no stranger to the White House.
He played a President in Air Force One, played someone protecting the president and even went to high school with Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
So it was no surprise the actor has just taken a tour of the famous presidential home in Washington DC.
Ford took fianceé Calista Flockhart and her son Liam on the tour over the weekend and the group spent time inside the White House briefing room.
In there they snapped photos while Flockhart asked Liam: “Isn’t this cool?”
Ford and Flockhart also spent time looking at the name tags under the chairs and pointed at White House Press Corp member Helen Thomas’s chair.
According to a report on politico.com Ford asked a White House aide if President Obama had actually done a briefing in the briefing room.
But the aide told him no, mostly because of the room’s shortage of seats.

Peepshow star Mel B is supporting Madonna’s decision to adopt another child from Malawi.
Mel, 33, is mum to daughters Phoenix, ten, and Angel, two, and also has a four-year-old step-daughter Giselle.
Madonna has been trying to adopt three-year-old Malawian child Mercy James, but her case was rejected after a judge claimed the star hasn’t met the residency criteria.
Mel said: “I think good on her – as long as she’s got the love and the time for another child. It’s easy for critics to knock celebrities who choose to adopt, but it’s a good thing that Madonna’s doing.”
She added in her column in UK magazine Closer: “Not only is she highlighting the plight of orphans in Africa, she’s trying to give this little girl the chance of a better life.”
She added: “What struck a chord with me is that Madonna’s said to be planning to keep the child in touch with her roots in Africa. I don’t think it matters where the child comes from – it’s about giving a baby or a child a family, love and a fresh start.”

David Beckham’s childhood home has gone up for auction after a reported £1million deal fell through.
The three-bedroom house in Leytonshire, east London, will have a price of £215,000 when it goes up for auction on May 11 through Savills, according to British newspaper the Daily Mirror.
Robin Howeson, from the agency, reportedly said to the newspaper: “It’s a much more realistic price.”
It is claimed a businessman bid £1million after it went on sale through a website, but the deal fell through.

Jackie Chan slammed for anti-democratic comments
Jackie Chan has earned the ire of some people in Taiwan and Hong Kong over his seemingly harmless comments regarding the possibility of democracy for China during a recently held business forum in Hainan. Jackie Chan said a free society may not benefit the authoritarian mainland of China further adding that the Chinese needs to be controlled otherwise they will just do what they want.
Jackie Chan said the freedom being enjoyed by Taiwan and Hong Kong only made these societies chaotic. While his comments drew applause from the business leaders present, majority of whom are Chinese, his statement however irked Taiwan and Hong Kong lawmakers particularly pro-democracy Hong Kong legislator Leung Kwok-hung who said Jackie Chan has insulted the Chinese people. Leung Kwok-hung said the Chinese people are not pets. He said the democratic system is needed by the Chinese society to protect human rights and rule of law.

Oksana Pochepa said their relationship is serious and she hopes it would be strong and long-lasting. Mel Gibson apparently met Oksana Pochepa last August when the singer was hired to compose a song for “Edge of Darkness”, Mel Gibson’s new thriller movie.

Reality TV shows are all over the place from American Idol to Dancing with the Stars there is so much of it that even Octomom Nadya is planning to having her own reality TV show. But then once in a while there is some magic created from a place you would least expect it come from.
Susan Boyle, a Scottish woman aged 48 has overnight become the darling and sensation of the singing world. Susan Boyle appeared on a reality TV show named “Britains Got Talent,” hosted by Simon Cowell. She sang the song “I Dream A Dream” and when she finished singing the entire crowd along with the judge just couldn’t stop applauding in awe of her singing talent.
Her popularity is such that her singing video from that show has received 5.9 million hit since the time it was posted last Saturday on April 11. It is all what dreams are about right now I would forget that Angelina Jolie has once again been voted as the most beautiful woman in Hollywood.
This story is fantastic and I just love it when unknown quantities or rather people with no powerful background just make it big all of a sudden that shows this world is equal and offers everyone with a dream can say that “I can do it.”

New Kids On The Block Tour Announcement And Video Update
New Kids On The Block are hitting the road again in support of their album The Block! Donnie, Jordan, Joey, Danny and Jon will kick off the “Full Service Tour” on May 28th in Atlanta, playing shows through July 18th in Houston. Jabbawockeez, the champs from season one of MTV’s “America’s Best Dance Crew,” will join NKOTB on the road for what promises to be the hottest party of the summer.
