Madonna facing opposition on adoption

A Malawian woman claiming to be the grandmother of James Mercy the girl who Madonna intends to adopt this week has made a public outcry saying the pop superstar is trying to ‘steal’ her granddaughter.

Even a British based charity called ‘Save the Children’ are calling for Madonna not to take the child back to America claiming that it is best for a child to stay in their homeland surrounded by their extended family.

You know what some 2 decades ago Asian and African countries were so poor that Europeans and other western country people who adopted were seen as messiahs times but these there is fear if native people would ever get to see these kids again.

Still cannot understand the fuss cos’ adoptions take place everyday so why such outrage when a celebrity does the same thing – bad media really. Madonna should adopt kids from the US itself. Seems that the granny wants a fair share of the money that Madonna will shell out for the baby.
