Maria Conchita Alonso blasts Sean Penn for supporting Hugo Chavez

Maria Conchita Alonso, the actress who worked with 2 time Oscar winning actor Sean Penn in the 1988 movie ‘Colors’ for his consistent support of her native Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez. She feels that the actor should ‘shut up.’

Sean has voiced his admiration for the Venezuelan President on quite a few occasions and has become a great admirer since 2007, the first time he visited the South American country. While visiting the country for an interview with Hugo Chavez ore lies about him in the United States than we know truth. If you want a soundbite from me about Chavez, then I would say that, for the moment, he’s much more positive for Venezuela than he is negative.”

Maria is upset that Penn support a president whose reign has been controversial. She says, “He’s praising Hugo Chavez, who’s a killer and a dictator.” Well Maria the whole world might agree with you yet you cannot ask a person to shut up just because you ain’t agreein with his thoughts.

For Sean my only advice is that he lives with Hugo for 6 months and let’s then see what story he will have to share with us.
