Madonna facing opposition on adoption

A Malawian woman claiming to be the grandmother of James Mercy the girl who Madonna intends to adopt this week has made a public outcry saying the pop superstar is trying to ‘steal’ her granddaughter.

Even a British based charity called ‘Save the Children’ are calling for Madonna not to take the child back to America claiming that it is best for a child to stay in their homeland surrounded by their extended family.

You know what some 2 decades ago Asian and African countries were so poor that Europeans and other western country people who adopted were seen as messiahs times but these there is fear if native people would ever get to see these kids again.

Still cannot understand the fuss cos’ adoptions take place everyday so why such outrage when a celebrity does the same thing – bad media really. Madonna should adopt kids from the US itself. Seems that the granny wants a fair share of the money that Madonna will shell out for the baby.

Michael Sheen’s love for karaoke

The actor recently admitted that one of his greatest passions is karaoke. Michael Sheen said: I have a threesome I perform throughout the night. There’s ‘Sweet Caroline,’ then Foo Fighters’ ‘Learning To Fly’ somewhere in the middle and then ‘Sweet Transvestite’ from the ‘Rocky Horror Picture Show’ to end. It is a strange trio, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone else, but it works for me. I’ve got a friend who does ‘Kamikaze Karaoke’ – a game where you have to choose the most difficult song you can and then perform it in front of strangers. You can’t mess about. You have to get up and go for it. I wouldn’t recommend it.” Interesting choice of songs… more interesting is the fact that Michael Sheen chooses to call it a “threesome”. I wonder if there are any memories linked to the name. But Michael Sheen’s “kamikaze karaoke” experience has really taught us something important… hopefully it shall not be forgotten.

Jennifer Hudson’s tattoo artistry

The singer recently stated that she would have chosen to be a tattoo artist, had her fortune not been
so graceful to bring her in on sixth place on “American Idol” and thus rocket her to fame and fortune. Jennifer Hudson also explained how she made the decision of becoming a singer: “When I was 17 years old, I worked at Burger King and I found that I was making more money singing one show – $75 at the time. I thought it was a lot of money so I decided, ‘I’m quitting this Burger King. I’m going to make my living using my talents and gifts.’” Should we even ask ourselves if how Jennifer Hudson would have chosen her career had she been making no money out of singing at all and struggling with financial difficulties for rehearsals and other some such issues. No… it would probably be better for Jennifer Hudson if no more inquiries were made.

Adam Lambert breaks the meter:

The American Idol contestant apparently soared through the idol meter this week due to his rendition of “The Tracks of my Tears” by Smokey Robinson. But then again that was the judges’ assessment too so it’s no big surprise. It looks like Adam Lambert is holding the victory torch for this week. It would be very ironical for him to trip and take a nose dive next week, but then again, that might just be what the judges are keeping up their saves for. Still there might be a slight bond forming in daddy-Cowell’s eyes for Adam Lambert… after all, the judge did call him the best performance of the night.

No More Overseas Travel For Wesley Snipes

Wesley Snipes’ recent partying may cost him his freedom to travel overseas. Wesley Snipes, who has been sentenced to a 3-year imprisonment for income tax evasion, has been temporarily set free after posting a $1 million bond pending his appeal. However, he was authorized to go on a working trip to Vancouver, London and Bangkok. Unwittingly, Wesley Snipes made an unauthorized stop in Dubai where he parties with stars like Michael Jordan, Denzel Washington, Janet Jackson and Charlize Theron during the gala opening of the $1.5 billion hotel Atlantis the Palm in Dubai.

After seeing photographs of his unauthorized stopover in Dubai, federal prosecutors will most likely refuse to allow him to travel overseas again. Wesley Snipes is however requesting permission to travel to Namibia to reshoot some of his scenes for his new movie Gallowwalker. He is also requesting foreign travel to Torino, Italy to shoot scenes for another new movie “Game of Death”.

Matt Giraud steps outside of the box

The “American Idol” contestant wowed the judges last night with his rendition of Marvin Gaye’s “Lets get it on”. Matt Giraud finally stepped out of the shadow of his piano and apparently put up a very impressive show for both the judges and the audience. Matt Giraud even managed to impress Simon Cowell who pointed out the following: “Your voice absolutely suits that song,” even though he did not neglect to mention that he found Matt Giraud’s singing directly to the judges to be corny. I guess Simon Cowell isn’t used to getting serenaded anymore. Either way, it looks like Matt Giraud really climbed saved himself for next week.

Chris Brown Admits to Struggle

Chris Brown has admitted some sort of defeat as the singer has spoken out to his friends on how he is struggling with recording his new album. The singer’s friend Tyrese revealed to reporters recently that “It’s really hard for him to focus right now on his music, even though he really wants to. Although he appears to be really strong through all of this, it’s really taking a toll on his spirit.” Tyrese also suggested for the media to take a break from their constant coverage of Chris and Rihanna but I think that Chris should slow down and take a break from being in the public eye.

Paris Hilton has new beau

Paris Hilton changes her man the same way she changes her bag, even her bikini. The tanned and well-rested Paris Hilton just got back from an amazing vacation in Maui with her new toy boy–Doug Reinhardt of “The Hills”. The two must have enjoyed their trip so much Paris Hilton is now singing praises saying “I love Hawaii!”. The heiress and the reality star apparently spent their time scuba diving which was a first for Paris Hilton. She said she was totally amazed at what she saw under the sea and that probably included Doug Reinhardt.

However, Paris Hilton is now back to work and has started filming the new episode of “My New BFF” Season 2. However, Paris Hilton is still with Doug Reinhardt even if she’s back to work which means the relationship is starting to get serious—more serious than a vacation-only affair. Doug Reinhardt even gave Paris Hilton a Pomeranian straight from Japan as a love gift which the heiress confirmed. The pooch was rumored to be worth $10,000 but Paris Hilton refused to talk about the price when she appeared at “The Ellen DeGeneres Show”.

Kate Voegele Premieres New Song on One Tree Hill

Check out the new song by Kate Voegele, “Manhattan From The Sky” The track was featured on last night’s episode of One Tree Hill and is one of the several shiny new gems featured on her upcoming release, A Fine Mess, due out in May. Kate Voegele, who plays the spunky Mia on the popular teen drama, calls the placement of “Manhattan From The Sky” “the most amazing set-up ever.” “The coolest thing is how they worked the song into the show so that it enhanced the scene, and how the scene enhanced the song.”
She says the idea for the piano-driven pop number came to her while sitting in a plane, 30,000 feet above New York City. “I was just thinking about how Manhattan looks like a little piece of Lego,” Voegele recalls, “but once you’re inside, it’s totally crazy and messy and there’s a wonderful chaos going on all around the city.”

16 Frames Release Where It Ends Today

16 Frames’ new album, Where It Ends! The Los Angeles based band teamed up with producer Matt Serletic (Matchbox 20, Santana) for their major label debut. Tracks from Where It Ends have been featured on MTV’s The Hills and recently appeared in the promos for ABC’s Private Practice.

Jesus Luz loyal to Madonna

The pop singer’s restless boyfriend insists that he did not cheat on her at the party he attended recently. Jesus Luz said in his defense: “I danced with her, but I danced with everyone at the party. My mother was at my side at the party and never would I become intimate with a woman if my mother was nearby – even if I was interested in that person. I have nothing with Luciana. The next day I met her on the beach and greeted her normally.” So Jesus Luz has an alibi now. Still, what about those extreme measures of conduct Madonna imposed on him… how are those to be explained? Furthermore, how come Jesus Luz doesn’t do anything about them? Many questions there are…

Jessica Simpson encouraged to give up Tony Romo

The actress has recently been encouraged by her father to give up her boyfriend Tony Romo because Joe Simpson thinks that he is having a deteriorating effect on Jessica Simpson’s career. A source said this about Jessica Simpson’s predicament: “Joe now feels that Tony has become too much of a distraction for Jessica. Any free time she has, Jess wants to spend with Tony. But rather than blaming his daughter’s work ethic, Joe points the finger at Tony.” Yeah, falling in love can do that to you. It does however suck when the dad is the manager. I guess Tony Romo is going to have a great time with Jessica Simpson’s father given this little bondage that already exists between them.

Lindsay Lohan needs help staying sober:

The actress has apparently asked Stephen and Daniel Baldwin for help to stay sober. A source said this about Lindsay Lohan’s predicament: “Lindsay is still able to go to work and meetings and do normal things, but she wants to remove the negative influences in her life.” Also, Daniel Baldwin who has supposedly battled addiction to cocaine since 1989 had this to say about helping Lindsay Lohan: “Lindsay’s doing great, her sobriety is the most important thing to her. She is taking all the necessary measures and actions for her continued health.” I wouldn’t have pecked Lindsay Lohan for such a heavy drinker. Maybe the arrest warrant from last week wasn’t that “unexplainable” after all. It seems there will be no more spending long, meaningful nights with Mr. Daniels for Lindsay Lohan anymore.

Wino Claims Innocence

Amy Winehouse was recently arrested to answer charges that she attacked a fan who tried to get a picture of her late last year. The incident actually caused Wino to miss performing at this year’s Coachella music festival because her work visa was denied. The singer had to go to the City of Westminster Magistrates’ Court earlier this week to face a judge on the charges where she entered a not guilty plea to the common assault charge. Leave it to Wino to head to court in style as the recovering addict showed up wearing a mini floral dress with her boobs out for the world to see. It’s not the best choice of outfits but it’s definitely Wino.

Julia Roberts uncomfortable with love scenes

Amongst the most adorable movie stars Julia Roberts who has starred in hit romantic comedies such at Pretty Woman opposite Richard Gere & Notting Hill Opposite Hugh Grant says she will go to any length to avoid kissing her co-stars.

The Oscar winning actress has locked lips with both Richard Gere and Hugh Grant in two movies is adamant that she just cannot fake real affection, and it is only because of the great camera work that she manages to escape kissing her onscreen love interests.

Speaking to Us Weekly Roberts says, “I try to avoid it at every turn. I’ve kissed through sheets; I’ve come up with every trick in the book, because I just think it’s bizarre.”

Those poor actors all of who could till now claim that they have kissed Julia Roberts once in their life time would now say oh why did she let out the truth. I could have own over many more girl with the line ‘do you want me to kiss you the way I did it to Julia in that movie.’

Pussycat Dolls Premiere Jai Ho Video

Pussycat Dolls have just premiered the video for their version of A R Rahman’s Oscar winning “Jai Ho!” “It was such a great honor to be able to re-write my own version of the lyrics,” said Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger who worked with producer Ron Fair on the new interpretation of the track. The Dolls shot the video for “Jai Ho – You Are My Destiny” at an abandoned train station museum in snowy Vienna with director Thomas Kloss – Britney Spears, Miley Cyrus.
