John Mayer’s opinion about Britney Spears
The singer has recently spoken of Britney Spears’ way of writing songs. He said: “I was just talking the other day about how strange the Britney Spears songwriting approach is. Because it’s all about, ‘I’m going out tonight, but nobody look at me.’ I’ve never met her and I’m not coming down on her, but all of the songs are sort of like, ‘I’m getting all my girls together, we’re gonna go out’ and ‘I’ve got holes cut out for bleep, I got flashlights on me. And then it’s like, ‘Why’s everybody looking at me? ‘Everybody’s looking at me’ because oh, did you hear verse two, Britney?” Well now, John Mayer is just being polite and using a very soft notion such as “strange”. He should expand his vocabulary and get better guts to describe Britney Spears’ music for what it really is. But then again, this does tell us something about John Mayer’s own musical expectancies.

Dustin Hoffman gets emotional in Paris
Two-time Academy Awards winner Dustin Hoffman could not help but shed some tears last Thursday after he was honored by France in an elaborate ceremony held in Paris. The 71-year old actor, who received a green medallion from Culture Minister Christine Albanel, was made an honorary commander of the National Order of Arts and Letters in France. With moistened eyes, Dustin Hoffman told the audience that they too would cry even at the weather reports when they get to his age.Dustin Hoffman, who was with his wife Lisa Gottsegen, was called “one of the greatest actors of our time” by Christine Albanel. She said Dustin Hoffman, has such a dramatic that makes it difficult for moviegoers to dissociate the real person from the characters he is playing. Among the critically-acclaimed films by Dustin Hoffman are Kramer vs Kramer in 1979 and Rain man in 1998. Dustin Hoffman said he is a fan of French cinema especially when it comes to WWII movies and those by the 1960 New Wave directors. The actor is also set to receive an honorary Cesar Award which is the equivalent of Oscars in France.

Celine Dion’s husband teaching child poker
Singer Celine Dion’s husband Rene Angelil, a gambling addict is teaching their 8 year-old son how to play poker, in the hopes it will teach him a healthy attitude towards gambling. The record boss has struggled with gambling addiction for over 30 years and now fear if he does not teach his son the right way to play cards then his son might fall into the same trap.Rene now takes time out regularly to teach his son Rene-Charles to play poker together. Angelil reveals, “Our son has superior intelligence, and it’s good that he’s learning in a good way.”
Rene admits that he got hooked to gambling so much so that he ended up bankrupt. He adds, “I’ve been a gambling addict for decades, and it’s just like being an alcoholic. I’ve lost more than I’ve won. Before marrying Celine, I used to be able to gamble because I would borrow money from the bank, since my cousin was the bank manager. Then my cousin left his job and I went bankrupt in 1982.”
I’m sure that he married Celine so that she could pay for his gambling deficits much like the US government is paying American banks for their deficits. At the age of eight this kids needs no poker lessons he needs to go fishing with his dad and to the zoo with mom.

YSL’s private art collection sold
The art collection of late fashion designer Yves Saint Laurent has gone under the hammer and there have been bids in the tune of £181 million for a piece the French couturier’s magnificent art collection. A painting by Henri Matisse which is a part of the collection has been auctioned for a record £31.4 million.Cuckoos on a blue and pink carpet smashed the previous record for similar work by the French painter set in 2007. This bid was made on the opening day of the 3 day auction of the collection that belongs to the late fashion designer and his former partner Pierre Berge.
Who says there is any kind of recession, at least these words are true for the utterly rich people who are willing to spend millions on a painting that would at the most be an object at a famous gallery or their Monte Carlo mansion.
Is there anything better these people have learnt to do with their money and does it at all make sense to anyone out there that £181 million worth of painting be bought when financial companies across the world are losing such money every month.

Sluumdog Millionaire actress Freida Pinto going places
The resounding success of Danny Boyle’s Slumdog Millionaire has started paying dividends for the stars of the movie. It’s actress Freida Pinto, formerly an unknown personality in Hollywood has caught the imagination of paparazzi with her outfits and now she is going to work in legendary filmmaker Woody Allen’s next movie.Slumdog Millionaire’s success is being attributed to its feel good factor, amongst the great economic gloom people have like a film that has shown them that all is not over and there is hope that we can still recover from the current and in between there is love and happiness to be shared.
Speaking about her joy at landing the role Pinto says, “Yes, it’s up (beings) in July. So, thank you, Danny Boyle for helping me take off.” Well it seems that the dreams of this young actress have certainly taken off into the top flight and this should make her country proud of her.
It also shows that Hollywood welcomes everyone who has the talent and grit to make it big here and that dreams are fulfilled even today no matter what your background is.

Portia de Rossi not trying to get pregnant
The star has denied rumors that she is having in vitro fertilization. From what she says, this is not the first time it’s been thought or the first time that she denied it: “There’s a story around right now about me that could not be further from the truth. The IVF story. That was just completely made up. The baby thing comes around annually. I find once a year whether I deny it or not. It doesn’t make any difference.” Imagine what will happen if Portia de Rossi eventually does get pregnant and nobody believes it. And afterwards, she has a child and again nobody takes any notice. Wouldn’t that be highly ironic? But, however ironic, it is improbable since Portia de Rossi is married to the talk show host Ellen DeGeneres and there are slim pickings there. -
Lady Gaga Performs with the Pet Shop Boys + MTV Sessions!
These days, Lady Gaga is always gallivanting across the globe, going from one phenomenal performance to the next! Last week was no exception when she and Brandon Flowers (of The Killers) joined the Pet Shop Boys onstage at the 2009 Brit Awards held at London’s Earls Court. The legendary duo were this year’s recipients of the Outstanding Contribution to Music Award, and serenaded the audience with a medley of their greatest hits, during which Lady Gaga provided supporting vocals on “What Have I Done to Deserve This?” and “It’s a Sin”. The Soundtrack to Jonas Brothers’ new film “Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience” is available today! New Kids On The Block Premiere New Video
New Kids On The Block have just premiered the video for their song “2 in the Morning.” Shot at a mansion in Pacific Palisades, CA, the video follows a feuding couple throughout the house. Donnie describes the concept of the piece as “somewhat based on a very literal translation of the song with a twist.”

Danny Boyle’s Oscar jumps:
The director of “Slumdog Millionaire” and winner of this year’s Academy Award for his work had a very happy beginning to his acceptance speech by jumping up three times, after of course speaking the magical word of beginning “uhm”. Danny Boyle explained his gesture with the following words: “My kids are probably too old to remember this now, but when they were much younger I swore to them that if this miracle ever happened that I would receive it in the spirit of Tigger from Winnie the Pooh and that’s what that was.” Well, it was certainly a lot more “user-friendly” than Sean Penn’s debut for his speech. And thank the lucky stars Danny Boyle remembered to remind us all of the man who choreographed the dance at the end of his movie whom he apparently left out of the credits, an individual by the name of Longinus. Well now, cheers to him too! -
Sasha Fierce TM
Beyonce is about to get her alter ego trademarked. While doing some research, a source stumbled upon a trademark application for Sasha Fierce filed by one Beyonce Knowles back in September. The trademark would be good for books, programs, posters and comic books. Comic books, huh? I’m not sure what she’s up to but it sounds like there’s a lot of business decision makings that are either going down right now or about to go down in the near future. I can’t bring myself to think of a Sasha Fierce superhero comic book though. Maybe it’s the fact that it’s just Beyonce that I’m seeing and I’d really rather not. -
Usher was Clueless
According to the new issue of In Touch, Usher had no idea that his wife Tameka Foster had gone down to Brazil to get plastic surgery. You can just imagine his surprise when, as he was departing for a rehearsal for Clive Davis’ pre-Grammy party, he got a call telling him that his wife had gone into cardiac arrest while going under for the surgery. Usher immediately flew out to be by her side. No one knows for sure why Tameka chose to not tell Usher about the surgical plans, whether it was a surprise or that she feared disapproval for leaving their sons at home. -

Lindsay Lohan is a time bomb waiting to blow. People are getting scared about her drastic weight loss, rather skeletak appearance. She was last seen attending the fashion show of partner Samantha Ronson’s sister during the the New York Fashion Show Week. Lindsay Lohan turned heads as usual when she took the front seat but this time people were looking at her not for anything else but because of what has become of her former hot looks, now diminished to a vry boney and itty bitty Lindsay Lohan. Apparently, the 22-year old’s bad behavior to include late nights and smoking to name a few is catching up on her .Take a look at the photos of Lindsay Lohan before and after she got hooked with DJ Samantha Ronson. They may be making money off their DJ and hosting gigs but this is also an opportunity for Lindsay Lohan to hang around with a bad crowd which does not even make you wonder how she is losing weight so fast. Well, try living off on coffee, cigarettes and Red Bull the way Lindsay Lohan does and you will surely catch up with her ultra skinny physique reminiscent of someone suffering from Anorexia.

Sean Penn wins Best Actor at the Oscars’ for Milk
Sean Penn won the Best Actor award for the second time in his career for his role in the movie ‘Milk’. In the movie Sean portrays the role of a slain San Francisco gay rights named activist Harvey Milk and used his win to defend the right of same-sex couples to wed.Before this he won the Best Actor Oscar for his lead role as a grieving father in “Mystic River.” And after this award Sean is being counted in many circles to be the finest actors on his time and has joined the ranks of great actors like Tom Hanks and the others.
Sean’s early career in Hollywood suggested that he was a complete maverick and a person known for his knockout punches with the paparazzi and for me that was a direct affect of his marriage to pop singer Madonna and her influence on him.
Today is he much more civilized if you can say that but whatever he is personally that does not take away from him that he is a truly fantastic actor. Several critics have said that his performance in Milk is his best ever in an already storied and versatile career.

Singer Pink to give donation to Aussie bushfire victims
Singer Pink has joined the growing list of celebrities who are doing their bit to help the victims of the recent bushfires that enraged the state of Victoria in Australia some 9 days ago. She plans to make a donation to the relief fund that has been created to channelize money for Australia’s bushfire victims.According to reports the singer plans to make a donation worth $250,000 to the Red Cross Bushfire Appeal, which will ultimately be used in the rebuilding of the communities across the Aussie state of Victoria.
That’s some kind of money really a nice bit of sum that would help either relocated people to newer homes or rebuild those homes that can be repaired. But the fact remains that the bushfire is amongst the ugliest I have ever seen. It spread so quickly that is was able to kill more than 200 people.
I’m sure the Australian government is also doing a lot to help the victims and really wish that each victim receives all the help needed.

U2 Premiere Album

Recording sessions for No Line On The Horizon were held in various locations around the world, including Fez, Morocco, the band’s own studio in Dublin, New York’s Platinum Sound Recording Studios, and Olympic Studios in London. Long-time U2 collaborators Brian Eno and Danny Lanois produced the album, with additional production by Steve Lillywhite.

Injuries not as bad – Rihanna’s cousin
A family member of R&B star Rihanna has downplayed the extent of the injuries suffered by her after her alleged fight with ex-boyfriend Chris Brown on the night of the Grammy Awards. The person supposedly her cousin says that star’s injuries are not “as bad as people make them sound.”Brown can face possible imprisonment after be charged by the LAPD for making criminal threats following the heated argument. Rihanna has returned to her native Barbados where it is being said that she has been received medical attention at a hospital.
Rihanna’s cousin, Yvonne Fenty tells RadarOnline, “Rihanna is holding up well. Everyone is looking after her. Her injuries weren’t near as bad as people make them sound.”
Bullshit my ass here what does he mean ‘not as bad’ is he telling us that only if she had a broken leg or hand would it be a serious enough case to her fans to show concern. That’s a pretty callous and asinine thing for a relative to say-especially in the media.
When she becomes a witness Chris Brown would pee in his pants.

Domestic life not boredom for Julia Roberts
Julia Roberts is completely content being a full-time mother and remains happy because her 3 children keep her so busy, she’s “never bored.” She has been away from the limelight a some years now but it is evident that she is not missing it at all.Julia is busy raising her 3 kids with husband Danny Moder; four year old twins Hazel and Phinnaeus, and Henry, 20 months. Speaking to the Allure magazine she says, “I will never be bored again. Danny and I talk about, ‘What did we do with all the time we must have had?’ Because you don’t recognize it as such until you have all these little… time thieves running around your house.”
She also gives a peep into the reason for her family’s happiness “The coolest thing you can do for your children is to love each other in their presence. I’m the luckiest girl in town, I really am.”
Basically she has set Hollywood’s other married couples to become envious of her happiness, when most other stars are busy quarrelling day in day out Julia always seems to be the one to be blessed with a happy family. That because she is content and has her priorities in the right place. You are ‘COOL’ Julia.

Paul McCartney hooked to eye yoga exercise
Music legend Paul McCartney has picked a new but really strange yoga exercise routine which happens to be eye yoga so as to heal and relax the eye muscles. He discovered this technique while on a visit to India last year.And he seems to have perfected the art already when he gave a display of the routine during a recent TV interview wherein he held his a stare in directions and kept looking in the same direction for 20 odd seconds before changing his view’s direction. He was taught the routine by an eye yoga expert at a hotel in India.
Then he told, “He told me eyes are muscles (and) are just like any other muscles, and they need exercise to keep them working properly. Spending so much time at computers or (watching) the TV or reading books, we are only using one set of muscles in our eyes. The yoga gives a workout to the other ones.”
Yeah work out for the eyes are meant to keep them in active state so that the greener pastures of life can be seen during old age. But this man has kept reinventing himself to remain a force even today and you got to admire him for that while every celebrity is always entitled to doing something absurd as this to we know they are as insane as you get.
