  • LINDSAY LOHAN AND SAMANTHA GOING STRONG


    It seems like just last week that Lindsay took to her blog to put an end to all the split speculation about her relationship with Ronson.
    Wait! It was just last week!
    Well, she’s at it once more.
    Lohan just posted the following message on her blog:

    today i was out with my friend Jamie and paparazzi wouldn’t stop asking me where samantha was. and i’m not writing this blog because i feel like i need to prove that i’m with my girl to anyone at all. but because it’s just annoying. and i want to vent. and i love myspace because it allows me to vent without having to deal with the noise of the “tabloids” and “stalkerazzi’s” ….
    all in all-they should just stop asking altogether, once and for all if she and i are broken up because frankly, if we ever ever did…. i would say it before they could even think of asking. i’d say it here probably… i say everything here on myspace. okay. well, i hope that all the gossip magazines and sites, and lurkers read this cuz it’s not true. ahh! i love myspace because i can just write, and i love writing, and i can prove all the liars wrong… wow- the people that make shit up must really feel silly, embarrassed, out of stories, scr*w*d, f*ck*d, punk’d, and so much more. because, i can use myspace and just let everyone know what’s really going on. which is so much more fun! cuz now, people can get to know the REAL me. yay!”

  • A bit of Déjà vu?


    This weekend’s top three movies are the exact same as last week’s.
    No kidding!
    Just like last weekend, Four Christmases came in at #1. The Reese Witherspoon and Vince Vaughn comedy made another $18 million.
    Can’t believe that film is actually earning! I thought it would bomb!
    Twilight is still going strong and came in at #2. The film earned another $13 million out. To date, the flick has made $140 million! Congrats!
    And in third, Disney’s Bolt.

  • OPRAH + BRITNEY = KILLER RATINGS


    The queen of talk, Oprah Winfrey, revealed to Access Hollywood that she wants to do a one-on-one interview with Britney Spears.
    Britney is so lucky! Everybody just wants a piece of her! (cue in ‘piece of me’)
    The Queen of Talk said that the more personal one-on-one format is more suitable for the pop princess. An interview in front of the audience would be too performance-ish.
    Please let her sit down with O!

  • Angelina Jolie is highest-paid actress


    After being named one of the top-earning Hollywood couples along with partner Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie has once again made it to the headlines for being the highest paid actress in Hollywood besting last Julia Roberts and Reese Witherspoon who came in the next two spots. Jolie’s 2008 movies have reportedly earned an estimated $1 billion worldwide.

    Witherspoon, who is reportedly being aid $15 to $20 million per picture, was last year’s highest paid actress. Next in line last year was Nicole Kidman who is reportedly getting $10 to $15 million per movie. Jolie was also in the list with a per picture asking rice of $8 million for Beowulf but with $20 million worth of earnings for Mr. & Mrs. Smith in 2005.

    Jolie’s over $15 million per movie asking price is however seen by critics as well-compensated considering how her movies fair both in the box office and in the awards circle. Her recent movie “Changeling” is in the running for the Critic’s Choice Awards. She has also been nominated for Best Actress.

    The Awards season is not over yet but Jolie already has lined up a movie for next year. She is Tom Cruise’s replacement in the espionage movie Edwin A. Salt which will be directed by Bone Collector director Phillip Noyce and will start filming in February next year. She is also number 24 in the Power 100 List of the Hollywood Reporter’s Women in Entertainment which was topped by Oprah Winfrey.

    While her work for the film commences on February, Jolie however said there will be no work for her for a year after that as she would like to stay home and take care of the children.

  • Clint Eastwood not retiring from acting


    What is it about saying that ‘that’s the last of my acting’ and then in a one on one interview with “Lyons & Bailes Reel Talk’s” co-host Jeffrey Lyons Hollywood great Clint Eastwood said he is not ready to hand up his acting hat yet.

    When asked if rumors were true about his acting career ending, Eastwood said, “Well I don’t know about that. You know you kind of muse out loud sometimes in front of a journalist and they kind of put it down as an absolute. I’m just saying that I’m getting at the point in life at my age where they just don’t write that many good roles and this role came along, and I enjoyed it.”

    Mind you guys I have nothing against this man but when you become so old you kind of lose it. Instead of bowing out gracefully you want to hang in there and hang onto every last bit you can. And obviously you never say ‘NO’ cos then you are almost done at his age. Well Clint I really hope that someone write some bullshit ass role just so that you can come along and ride the horse once more.
