Jennifer Hudson Back to Work

Jennifer Hudson was supposed to get back to work a few weeks ago by filming a new music video however, the talented singer and actress had to pull out of the shoot. It seems that she was still grieving and wasn’t completely ready to get back to work after the horrible murders of her mother, brother and nephew. Reports are now coming out that she will soon be performing again though. A new report has been released with the musical acts performing at the 2009 MusiCares Person of the Year gala held during Grammy week. Scheduled to take the stage on February 6th are Coldplay, Tim McGraw, Josh Groban, Jennifer Hudson and a couple of other acts.

Michael Jackson is Sick

According to The Sun, Michael Jackson is not well – he’s the farthest thing from it. The newspaper claims that Jacko is battling a genetic disease that has left him half blind and needing a lung transplant. The former King of Pop is said to be so frail that he can barely speak. “He needs a lung transplant, but may be too weak to go through with it. He also has emphysema and chronic gastrointestinal bleeding, which his doctors have had a lot of trouble stopping. It’s the bleeding that’s the most problematic part. It could kill him.” The condition is said to be alpha-1 anti-trypsin deficiency, where sufferers lack a protein which protects the lungs. Jacko’s brother Jermaine reportedly told the paper “He’s not doing so well right now. This isn’t a good time.”

Kate Beckinsale wants to play ‘Catwoman’ in the sequel to the ‘Dark Night’

British actress Kate Beckinsale is eager to play the role of Catwoman in the planned sequel to the Batman movie ‘Dark Night’ because she thinks she is well suited to doing more action roles.

In recent months there has been a wave of speculation over which actress shall will play the role of the villainess in the movie that is slated to be a a follow-up to this year’s The Dark Knight.

Kate my baby there are millions of other girl who would justify doing that role just by shooing their pet cats upon you, you’ll get frightened and they’ll get the role. If you really want to be the cat in the movie then run to the market and find a cat that can fit into the skimpy clothes of a Catwoman on South African beach. If the cat cannot fit in and you can then you have the role darling.

Hollywood heartthrob Johnny Depp confesses to alcohol overdose

Johnny Depp has made a stunning statement where he has said that he “poisoned himself” because he could not keep up with the sudden fame when he became one of the most recognized faces in Hollywood.

Usually Johnny Depp is quite tight-lipped but he tells that he partied so hard in the 90s just in an attempt to find a way how to deal with his meteoric ascent to superstardom.

In a comment made a few days ago he said: “I never wanted to be the guy people looked at. I felt I could only be myself when I was alone, that I turned into some kind of novelty. The only way I could get through that time was to drink. I poisoned myself with alcohol for years but I’ve never been into drugs in the way it was sometimes made out.”

Most people just go with the flow and ride the wave till they can handle it and then end up like Amy Winehouse, or basically in the gutter at night and their body guards pick them up and leave them home. Johnny managed to control things around him and is a better off today. He is still the superstar because he did not let alcohol take over him.

Scarlett Johansson Music Part 2

Are you ready for more of Scarlett Johansson’s singing? While promoting her new movie ‘The Spirit’, Scarlett told MTV News that she’d like to record another album. What happened to doing it just for fun? She also said that this time, she wants to record original material instead of some covers. Though when asked if she still had to do covers, Scarlett said that she would cover the iconic reclusive Leonard Cohen. Fortunately for us, she also said that such an endeavor will have to wait as she is busy with making movies and her married life. She should really just stick to acting.

PARIS HILTON LEARNS SOMETHING

I think that deserves a huge headline.

Talking about herself in Esquire Magazine’s “What I’ve learned”, she says:

There are definitely a lot of misconceptions about me out there. “Oh, she doesn’t work. She doesn’t do anything. She just gets money from her family.” That’s not true at all. I was up making phone calls at seven in the morning, and I’ll be working until 1:00 A.M.

She then talks about how her childhood was like and what was expected of her.

I was the oldest granddaughter. Everyone was so excited that I was born, they would always take pictures of me. My grandma would call me Marilyn Monroe or Grace Kelly. Ever since I was little, it’s what I knew I wanted to do–be a blond icon.

Once I’ve worn a dress, I can never wear it again. I give them to charities and they auction them off to help people with breast cancer, multiple sclerosis, and AIDS. Some that are really, really special, I keep in storage for my daughters. They’ll be vintage by then. I think my daughters will love them.

She’s planning to have kids? OKAY, NOW I’M FREAKING SCARED.
Because of my last name and the way I look, some people think I’m a spoiled brat. But I’m not like that at all. I’m one of the most down-to-earth people I know out of anyone in Hollywood.

Madonna headed for Malawi, to adopt another Malawian child

After paying ex-husband Guy Ritchie a fat pay check as settlement Madonna is reportedly headed to Malawi in the company of baseball star Alex Rodriguez with the intention of adopting another child from Malawi.

The reports also suggest that the pop superstar has already completed the paperwork required to adopt Mercy James from Malawi. Malawi is the same African country from where Madonna adopted her son David Banda in 2006.

Why does she keep preying on people who can’t afford to take care of their children? Both David, and now the new child have families, they are not orphans. Madonna has enough money to help them and not take the child away. I think she is selfish.

Means for God sake if she really cared about some kids then appointed a person in that country and educate them, help them is other ways and see that they lead a better life. That would really be heroic of her.

HOW MANY GOLDDIGGERS ARE THERE IN THE WORLD?

Whitney Houston is being sued by her stepmother.

Wait, what did she do? She did nothing!

Although, her stepmother says Whitney owes her money and needs to pay off her condo.

The whole thing goes back to 2003 when Whitney’s father died.

Yeah right!

Barbara Houston claims that Whitney “improperly kept the proceeds from John Houston’s $1 million insurance policy” after his death.

The lawsuit claims that Whitney was supposed to use the $723,000 to pay off the remaining mortgage on her father’s Fort Lee condominium. She apparently holds the mortgage on the condo.

Stepmom Barbara still lives in the condo and is also claiming that Whitney was, according to her dead husband’s wishes, supposed to return the remaining insurance money to her.

Attorneys for both parties have refused to comment.

Make sure your will explicitly expresses your wishes, y’all. Dramz like this can be avoided.

Barely three months into her marriage with Ryan Reynolds, Scarlett Johansson is already raring to start a family. The 24-year old actress, who has topped the sexiest list surveys for quite sometime, is still very much in love with her husband and hopes they can stay like this forever.

While her love life is abloom, Johansson’s career is also heading into the right direction with her new movie “He’s Just Not That Into You”. She said she has never met anyone who was willing to commit prior to meeting the 32-year old Ryan. Johansson has previously dated Josh Hartnett and Jared Leto.

Johannson admitted to experiencing the craziest time of her life the months before they got married. However, the two has already settled down quietly and is enjoying wedded blissfulness while waiting for Johannson to get pregnant. The actress may be young but she is already getting worried about her biological clock. On the other hand, getting pregnant at this time may juts be the perfect timing for Johansson who will be filming her next movie “Amazon” later next year.

Madonna settles divorce with Guy for an estimated $76 million and $92 million

A few months back when the news came out that Guy Ritchie and Madonna were heading for a spilt; it definitely wasn’t about the money – definitely, definitely not.

Well it’s finally happened and all the talks about Guy Ritchie not taking away a single pie from Madonna’s huge fortune is all crap and it is being reported that he has in fact received an estimated sum of fifty to about possibly even seventy million dollar from the divorce.

There are unconfirmed but strong reports that Madonna has reached a divorce settlement with Guy Ritchie, and all this is from a source close to the singer’s rep. The pop star will pay Guy Ritchie a sum between $76 million and $92 million, and this figure has been quoted to the Associated Press by Madonna’s spokeswoman Liz Rosenberg. Further details of the divorce settlement show that Guy gets to keep the former couple’s country home Ashcombe, in western England, as well as the couple’s London pub, the Punchbowl.

This is possibly the most expensive Hollywood couple divorce settlement in history.

GWYNETH PALTROW AND CHRIS MARTIN STILL TOGETHER

Or at least that’s what Gwyn’s mother is saying.
When rumors keep circulating that Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin from Coldplay, are having some marital problems, leave it to mommy to fix all her troubles.
In a recent interview with Gwyneth’s mom, actress Blythe Danner, she denies the rumors.
Like the fact that the “happy” couple hasn’t been photographed together in months.
To which Danner responds, “They don’t take pictures together if they can avoid it. It’s a strategy. They don’t want the pandemonium.”
Mom says the couple is doing just fine.
Yeah right, I still Madonna is controlling their marriage. If she can’t have a good marriage then her friends can’t too.

DO THEY KNOW WHAT REST IN PEACE MEANS?

I was wondering if Heath Ledger is awarded the Golden Globe, who will accept it on his behalf?
I never thought that his family would actually argue about it!
According to a report:
Heath’s dad, Kim, really, really wants to do the honors at the ritzy event, but insiders say the Dark Knight studio, Warner Bros., want Michelle Williams to be the go to person, to receive it on behalf of little Matilda.
What the hell? Obviously, they want some drama involved with the award, if he wins it.
According to a ‘friend’, “Why would Michelle be involved? She had nothing to do with the movie. They weren’t even together when he passed away. Would you have your ex-wife accept your award? And they weren’t even married. [Director] Chris Nolan or [star] Christian Bale would make more sense. Michelle makes no sense. It’s like those rumors that she would go to the premiere of ‘Dark Knight.’ That was never in the realm of possibility.”
The ‘friend’ has a point. However, they shouldn’t be arguing about this.
Would it really matter who accepts the award?
Put everyone’s name in a hat, do the pick and be done with it!

CHARLIE SHEEN AND DENISE’S CHILDREN ARE ALRIGHT

On Friday, Sam Sheen, 4, and her sister Lola, 3, were passengers in an SUV involved in a four car pile up in Malibu.
According to several reports, their car was being driven by their nanny and it was apparently cut off by another vehicle and the accident madness followed.
The girls are ‘ok’ and did not sustain any mayor injuries. This is because, according to an inside source, the children were seated on their car seats making the trip much safer.
I know I really don’t like Denise, but at least the kiddies are safe.
Whew.
It’s a good reminder for us all to buckle up!
And if you have kiddies, make sure you have the right safety seat for them! LEAVE AMY ALONE!

Bronx Mowgli’s Godfather

Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz may not have a deal to make some money off of their new son Bronx Mowgli but they were able to find someone who’s willing to be the kid’s godfather. The young parents have named Gym Class Heroes front man Travis McCoy as BMW’s godfather. Travis spoke to In Touch Weekly recently and talked about it saying “I’m so proud. Pete told me I was treading godfather territory and two days later, after I met Bronx and Ashlee saw how good I was with him, it was official.” Pete actually gave a shutout to the new godfather last Wednesday at his ‘Without You I’m Just Me’ art show at Gallery 1988 in Los Angeles.

VINNIE JONES ATTACKER WILL NOT FACE CRIMINAL CHARGES

The South Dakota man who put a beer bottle into Vinnie Jones’ face last week will not be facing criminal charges, according to TMZ.

They report that the prosecution has dismissed three counts of aggravated assault against 24-year-old Jesse Bickett.

TMZ also reports that Minnehaha County State’s attorney Dave Nelson said, “After we had an opportunity to review all the evidence, we thought that the incident with which Mr. Bickett was charged was a result of a mutual combat situation.”

Vinnie Jones also hasn’t been charged for the incident. However, he took some time in whoring his scars to the paparazzi, as h e needs the publicity.

Ricky Martin has revealed the first photos of his 4-month old baby twin boys, Valentino and Matteo in this past week’s People and Hola cover. In the accompanying interview, he talks about being a hands-on parent, becoming a parent through surrogacy and his kids of course. On becoming a dad through surrogacy, the singer said “Adoption was one option, but it’s complicated and can take a long time. Surrogacy was an intriguing and faster option. I thought, ‘I’m going to jump into this with no fear.’” He also talked about his boys saying “Valentino loves to sleep. I call him ‘Mr. Peace and Love’ because he’s so chill and serene. Matteo is more alert and active. He was up at 3 a.m. the other night and just hanging!”

Smuggled Drugs to Wino

Blake Fielder-Civil, hands down, has got to be the worst thing to have happened to the once very beautiful Amy Winehouse. He’s like the Sam Lutfi to Britney Spears. Blake may not be as media hungry but he’s still money-starved. Wino has been in the clinic these past few weeks in attempt t help her get better and off drugs. When Blake saw Wino last week, it is being said that he was able to give her drugs. An inside source says “Blake has a lot to answer for. His actions have ruined his wife’s efforts to get clean.” Once Blake gets out of jail, someone should file a restraining order to have him stay away from Wino.
