Cancer patients receive support from actress Hilary Swank
Heartening to see that a select few of Hollywood celebrities use their fame for a good cause. Actress Hilary Swank has made an appeal to help a charity which is involved in the making of wigs used by women who experience hair loss caused by cancer. Hilary too underwent a hair cut and trimmed her hair short while preparing for a new role in a movie where she is to play aviator Amelia Earheart.
The rules of the charity requires she cut her hair to the minimum of eight inches, she did oblige and donated her hair to the charity named Beautiful Lengths, saying “A lot of my family members have had their lives devastated by cancer”.
Hats off to Hilary Swank that amidst all of the turmoil that other super celebrities always manage to enroll themselves into she can somehow find something worth raising a voice for and leading by example.
