Cher’s Illness

Cher is brushing off rumors that she canceled the year’s last pair of her Las Vegas performances because she’s suffering from cancer. The singer says that she is actually in perfect health. She says that he cancellation were just due to allergies that made her throat sore and thus left her unable to sing. She said that if she did have cancer, everyone would know about it because “when you have those kind of things happen if you’re famous you can’t keep them a secret.” She wasn’t bothered by the rumors though saying “People have been saying the weirdest things since I was a teenager.” She’s a pro at handling those things already.

John Mayer Blogs for Barack Obama

John Mayer has been known as an avid blogger. He usually just rants off about nothing though. Putting his blogging to good use, he wrote for the Huffington Post about his support for Barack Obama and his belief in hope. He said “I believe the definition of the “hope” that Barack Obama enthuses operates on the unspoken thesis that there has to be a polar opposite to the despair of 9/11. Because if we accept that there’s not, the will to live becomes forever altered. To adults who will vote for him, Barack Obama represents a return to prosperity. To the youth, he represents an introduction to it.”
