Jessica’s Ultimatum
Despite a very weird couple of weeks for them, Jessica Simpson and Tony Romo are seeing each other again. But in the world of Tony, it will only go on if Joe Simpson stays out of the way. According to a college pal of Tony’s who got to talk with the Chicago Sun-Times, the quarterback “made it super-clear that if they were to give another go, her dad had to seriously back off” and that their second try at romance is only a trial thing and will only work if Joe leaves the couple alone. The pair has since been very public with their ongoing romance being out and about these past few days.

John Mayer and Jennifer Aniston on for Months
When Jennifer Aniston wants to make things public with a guy, the girl goes public – just ask Vince Vaughn. While most people think that her fling with John Mayer is just that, a fling, it should be surprising to learn that the relationship has been going on for months. The New York Post is reporting that the couple has been quietly dating for three months before they were spotted being all lovey-dovey in Miami. A source said that “Then Jen realized it wasn’t a fling and decided to take it public.” What, does John Mayer have absolutely no say in going public or not? I guess he was massively affected by his relationship with Jessica Simpson to even bother having a say.

Celine Dion Gets Knighted
Celine Dion joined her husband Rene Angelil and son Rene-Charles as she was honored by French President Nicolas Sarkozy in Paris on Thursday. The 40-year old Canadian singer received one of the country’s highest recognitions – a Knight of the Legion of Honor. The family was also in France to attend the Celine Dion and Rene Angelil wax figure unveiling held at the Grevin Museum in Paris. Is it me or does her 7-year old son looking more like a girl every time he gets pictured? Someone is in definite of a haircut. I’m sure Celine has some stylists on hand. Why the heck aren’t they cutting the boy’s hair?

Usher claims separation
Usher has reportedly filed for separation from his wife Tameka Raymond. The ‘Love in This Club’ singer – who has been married to Tameka for nine months – is said to have filed official papers three weeks ago, but is unsure whether to make a public announcement or let the news ‘leak’ out.Gossip website theyoungblackandfabulous.com claim: “Extremely reliable sources close to Mr. Raymond himself have confirmed to us that Usher has indeed filed for separation from his wife of only nine months, Tameka Raymond. I’m told he actually filed three weeks ago. And Usher is torn on whether he will be making an official announcement or not as he wants to save face and just let it ‘leak’.”
However, the website also alleges the ’separation’ could be a publicity stunt for Usher’s new album ‘Here I Stand’, which is released worldwide at the end of the month.
The story continues: “How convenient that his album releases in exactly six days, his second video hit the net today, and his album leaked yesterday. We’ve been here before with the pre-album release publicity stunts.”
Usher and Tameka have a five-month-old son, Usher Raymond V.

Madonna: My pain over adoption
Pop superstar Madonna opened her heart about her “painful” adoption struggle yesterday — comparing it to natural childbirth. The 49-year-old singer, talked openly about her and husband Guy Ritchie’s controversial battle to adopt Malawian child David Banda, two.
Madonna said: “It was painful and a big struggle and I didn’t understand it. In the end I rationalised that when a woman goes through natural childbirth, she suffers an enormous amount. I went through my own kind of birthing pains — dealing with the press on my doorstep, accusing me of kidnapping or whatever. But I had to go through some kind of process and in the end it made me stronger so I can’t complain.”
Madonna also hit back at accusations that David was adopted without his father’s consent — and that his mother had not really died of Aids.
She said: “Yes his mother did die of Aids and yes, I met his father and he absolutely agreed to the adoption. There is nothing controversial about the adoption. It is just there’s a lot of bureaucracy and administration. This adoption essentially was the beginning of the creation of adoption laws in Malawi.”
She said she now sees herself as the role model for future adoptions there. Madonna was speaking at a press conference about her new documentary I Am Because We Are — which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival on Wednesday. The film, featuring David, paints a stark picture of life in Malawi and shows kids orphaned by Aids.
Ex-US president Bill Clinton and Archbishop Desmond Tutu appear in the movie.

Michael Jackson Heads to Vegas
Michael Jackson may end up becoming the next Celine Dion – and I’m not talking about the wardrobe. TheVegasEye is reporting that Colony Capital, the group responsible for bailing Jacko out of his Neverland debt, may be angling to put the fallen King of Pop on the Vegas stage. What’s in it for Colony? It’s being said that Vegas money is on Jacko headlining there and raking in a much-needed jackpot. They already have the venue (it’s the same one that Barry Manilow performed on) and the leverage to put Jacko on stage. It may actually happen. But then again, can he still sing?

Ashlee Simpson Announces Pregnancy
OK! magazine is reporting that Ashlee Simpson has officially announced her pregnancy to everyone at her wedding reception. While promoting her latest album ‘Bittersweet World’, Ashlee was always coy when asked question about her pregnancy. This may be as official as it’s going to get. Ashlee and Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz were married on Saturday evening during an intimate sunset ceremony at the home of her parents. Congratulations go to the happy couple for both their marriage and their expected bundle of joy. Since Ashlee isn’t showing yet, she’s still in the early stages of her pregnancy, no more than 3 months perhaps. I wonder what they’ll be having, a boy or girl.

Rude Jude Law with Rod’s girl
Bed-hopping Jude Law has pulled Rod Stewart’s man-eater daughter Kimberley.
Legendary swordsman Jude – who boasts Sienna Miller and Sadie Frost among his conquests – was spotted with his new blonde girlfriend in the most unlikely C-list venue on Saturday night. They were clocked snogging in the VIP area of 195 Nightclub in Epping, Essex. It’s the kind of place where you would normally find the likes of Jade Goody and a host of reality TV rejects sipping Bacardi Breezers.
But A-list actor Jude slummed it for a night with model Kimberly just around the corner from her old man Rod’s mansion – and he’s a brave boy because Rod is back in town.
An onlooker said: “We were given wristbands for the VIP lounge expecting to bump into Jodie Marsh or somebody. We couldn’t believe it when we saw Kimberly Stewart snogging the face off Jude Law. They were really going at it and barely came up for air. He’s the first big name we have ever seen in there. So myself and my friends walked over and asked if we could have our photo taken with them. But they said no, turned back to face each other again then carried on kissing. Two bodyguards then came over to us and snatched the camera out of my friend’s hand because they had seen us taking pictures. They passed the camera to Jude, who then looked through our photos. The bodyguard later gave the camera back to us and, to our disappointment; they had deleted our pictures of Jude and Kimberly.”
But Jude and his bodyguards should have done a better job deleting the shots – because experts have now RETRIEVED them from the girls’ camera memory disc.

Mariah Carey plans to wed once a year
For most women their wedding day is the best day of their lives. Singular; “day”. But not Mariah Carey, because she plans to repeat her wedding annually.The ‘Touch My Body’ singer and new husband Nick Cannon, who wed in a secret ceremony in April, plan to tie the knot once a year.
She said: “Nick’s plan is to have one wedding every year. I think instead of trying to be like, ‘You’re invited, but shhh, don’t tell anybody’, we’re just going to have another wedding next year.”
Mariah, 38, admits there were more hairdressers and stylists than guests at her wedding. She told US talk show host Ellen DeGeneres: “It was mostly attended by people who were responsible for my hair and people helping me with the dress. There were only three of my friends and Nick had three people with him. There weren’t a lot of people taking pictures!”
The pop superstar, who is divorced from music mogul Tommy Mottola, believes she has found her soulmate in Nick – who she first met on the video for her new single ‘Bye Bye’.
Echoing Nick’s half-brother Reuben Cannon’s insistence the couple will have children soon, Mariah said: “I always said if I found the right person who I felt would be on the same page as me in term of raising kids and having the same belief system, we’d have kids. I’ve always had a weird thing about it because my parents divorced when I was three and I didn’t have many examples of what was the ‘norm’.”

Jessica Simpson splits with Tony Romo
Jessica Simpson has split from Tony Romo, sources have claimed. The ‘With You’ singer and the American football star have reportedly ended their romance after Tony was overheard telling friends he is single again.
A source said: ‘They’re over. Tony told pals he’s back on the singles market.’
When Dallas Cowboys star Tony was questioned about the split, he fumed: “I’m not talking about Jessica.”
Jessica’s dad, Joe Simpson, refused to confirm the split, saying: “I don’t know anything about Tony and Jessica.”
Although a representative for the couple denied they had broken up, sources insist they are no longer together. At the weekend, Tony partied at Chicago club Manor and was surrounded by a string of beautiful women.
Yesterday, it was reported Jessica went on a drinking binge after discovering ex-boyfriend John Mayer is dating Jennifer Aniston. The blonde beauty, her best friend Cacee Cobb and Cacee’s boyfriend Donald Faison reportedly spent four hours drinking at California’s Mexicali Cocina Cantina restaurant, according to internet gossip blogger Perez Hilton.
At the end of the session, Jessica was said to be so drunk she had to call her mother Tina to pick her up and drive her home.

More Malawi for Madonna
Madonna is pretty much expected to have a positive result this week regarding the adoption of David Banda but her exploits in Malawi don’t stop there. The Queen of Pop is said to be planning to build a multi-million dollar girls’ school in Malawi for underprivileged children this year as said by her local lawyer on Wednesday. Her lawyer Alan Chinula told Reuters “A task force of four prominent Malawians has already been formed to head the project which will be on the scale of what Oprah Winfrey has in South Africa.” Meanwhile, he also says that Madonna will not attend the final court ruling on her adoption bid because she is busy with other engagements.

Lindsay’s Work Issues
Lindsay Lohan has been having a lot of trouble getting work lately. But of the few that she does get, you still can trust her to do a good job. The so-called actress was billed as a co-host on countless radio spots for the big Wango Tango concert on Saturday night in Irvine but she couldn’t be bothered to show up until 9PM. The show started at 6:30 PM! Organizers were scrambling because they thought she was going to be a no-show. Miley Cyrus even joked on stage that Lindsay was flaking because she was afraid of her. Lindsay showed up after Miley went on. It may hold some truth. -
Justin Timberlake’s Phone
Justin Timberlake announced at this past weekend’s MTV Upfronts that he’s going to produce a new reality show for MTV called ‘The Phone’. The show is based on a Dutch TV show which pits contestants in a timed race to accomplish a mission and win a cash prize. Each episode begins with two phones placed at opposite ends of a city. Once the phone is answered, players are given 5 seconds to decide by a mysterious guide if they want to play the game. Contestants communicate via phone to succeed. The guide will also communicate with them as a helicopter tracks their every move and any error. A failed task will chip away at the cash prize. The show will air this fall. -
Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer are Going Strong
Life & Style is reporting that John Mayer arrived at the Mandarin Oriental hotel in Miami Beach around noon on Thursday. That’s the same hotel where Jennifer Aniston is staying. In Touch is also reporting that after filming in Miami for 3 months, Jen planned a wrap party for ‘Marley & Me’ in which John was scheduled to perform a 3-song set on May 10. A source said “Everything was changed last minute so John could do this for her. He’s crazy about Jen. It’s hot and heavy but in that very cool way. John isn’t gong to hide his adoration and he’s telling everyone what a cool chick Jen is.” It looks like their relationship is going strong.

Busted Wino
Amy Winehouse has been busted by the police on Wednesday for drug possession. It was just last week that the singer was questioned by police on charges of assault and later let off with a caution. This time around, she might not get so lucky. The 24-year old British pop wreck was again arrested by so-called appointment. This incident is apparently related to her crack smoking video a few months back. Perhaps there was some problem if they consider the many offenses she’s committed and that she really shouldn’t have had any drugs in her hands at that time. If we could trust Pete Doherty’s words, maybe jail would do Wino some good – though it’s doubtful. -
Celine Dion Back in Vegas
Celine Dion was spotted signing autographs for fans after she performed at the O2 Arena in London, her first trip to the UK in over ten years. It is being reported that the 40-year old singer is in negotiations to be brought back to Caesars to headline again starting at the end of 2009 or early 2010. AEG Live, responsible for booking the venue at Caesars, released a statement regarding the reports saying “Right now Celine’s focus is on her worldwide tour. We begin the North American tour in August. We love Celine and always keep the door open for her to return to Las Vegas if she wishes.”

Rihanna on Jay-Z Rumors
Rihanna sizzles on the June 2008 cover of Elle magazine. In the accompanying interview, she addresses the rumors about a romance between her and Jay-Z. Geeze, he’s already married to Beyonce and they’re still on this? Anyway, Rihanna says “Well, it’s crazy that you ask me that. People know that it’s not true. I think it’s kinda a cliche question, and people know it’s not true, so I don’t even know why it’s still addressed to this day. I get asked about it all the time and I’m like, You’re asking, but you know the answer. I don’t even like to address it anymore.”

Family Confirmation of Mariah Nuptial
First, Latina magazine and then the New York Post, now E! News is also reporting about the marriage of Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon. The news show has even gotten confirmation from family that the nuptials did take place and it’s not just a mere publicity stunt. Family member Linda Cannon confirmed the news saying “Yes, we know. He called us and told us all about it. We are happy for him. If that is what he wants then we are happy for him.” She wouldn’t confirm reports though that the impromptu wedding took place in the Bahamas saying “I’m not going to give you any details, but we are happy for him.” -
Nicole Kidman to play Dusty Springfield
Nicole Kidman will play Dusty Springfield in a forthcoming biopic.
The Oscar-winning Australian actress will play the 60s pop icon in the movie which will document Dusty’s troubled life, which included problems with drugs and alcohol, and mental health issues.
The ‘Son of a Preacher Man’ singer was also secretly bisexual in a time when it was taboo.
Michael Cunningham, writer of ‘The Hours’, for which Kidman won her Oscar, is working on the screenplay for the film, and has vowed not to shy away from the controversial aspects of Dusty’s life.
Cunningham said: ‘Dusty was a great artist who no one knew what to do with. But she is clearly going into history with the Beatles and the Rolling Stones.’
Dusty – whose hits include ‘You Don’t Have to Say You Love Me’ and ‘I Only Want to Be With You’ – died in 1999, aged 59, after losing her battle against breast cancer.
