Drugs Ruined Heath Ledger and Michelle Williams

Rumors continue to fly concerning Heath Ledger’s sudden death. The Post has reported that Heath was a regular cocaine and heroin user over the past year. Reports now say that is what caused the breakup between Heath and Michelle.

A “friend” of Heath’s (who did drugs with him) told The Post that “she couldn’t take it anymore. Heath wouldn’t show up for two or three days, and all of a sudden he would show up on her doorstep, an absolute wreck.” Michelle gave Heath a choice between her and Matilda or the drugs. It was a choice Heath had trouble making.

While many have said it was an overdose that caused his death, no official word will be released until toxicology reports are back.

Nicole Richie Steps Out

It’s only been two weeks since Nicole Richie gave birth to her daughter with boyfriend . Mama is lookin’ fine already!

They left baby Harlow home with a sitter while the couple attended a birthday bash for Benny Medina in L.A. Nicole’s father Lionel was also there.

Nicole was struttin’ in a cute black number and heels. Ladies, be jealous.

Britney Spears Calls Her Kids

Although a judge decided against allowing Britney Spears to visit her kids, she isn’t completely without contact. According to court documents, she is allowed to call them on the phone.

It has been over three weeks since Britney was allowed to see her children. She has had no personal contact with them since the January 3rd standoff when she refused to return them. This is a court order that is in effect indefinitely, even though her lawyers have since tried twice to regain visitation.

Maybe if she stopped taking the crazy pills….

Beyonce to play Etta James

RnB star Beyoncé Knowles has landed the role of famed blues singer Etta James in new movie Cadillac Records. It is reported that the Dreamgirls actress will join Adrien Brody, Jeffery Wright, and Cedric the Entertainer in the 1950s-set film.

Wow they are some big boots to fill. Beyoncé will have her work cut out to not upset the Etta James fans of the world. But we believe in her – you can do it girl!

Oscar-winning Brody has replaced actor Matt Dillon in the role of Leonard Chess, the founder of legendary blues label Chess Records, after scheduling conflicts forced him to pull out of the project. Filming is due to take place later this year in New Jersey and Mississippi

Spears to Wed Adnan Ghalib

Britney Spears’ paparazzi boy toy Adnan Ghalib has a wife who just filed for divorce. And now, he’s proclaiming that he wants to marry the pop wreck. More shockingly, Britney wants to have another baby with him.

Adnan tells Entertainment Tonight, via People, that their relationship is “far from over” and that he didn’t get involved with Britney to sell more pictures or use her. As for the incident when he and Britney were looking at pregnancy tests at a Rite Aid, she was apparently “hoping” that she was pregnant with his kid. Now that is a train wreck waiting to happen.

Amy Winehouse is Out

It was reported that Amy Winehouse checked herself into a rehab facility on Tuesday night but that is not the case. The troubled singer was seeking medical treatment that night in London but it had nothing to do with her drug problems. A rep for the singer has cleared things up saying that “Amy is not in rehab. She was seeing a doctor who she regularly sees as part of her ongoing treatment. It was a regular appointment which she attends all the time. She has not checked in overnight.”

That’s such a shame. Amy is one person who definitely needs to go to rehab. Can’t they force her in there?

Adrien Brody and Cadillac Records

Adrien Brody has inked a deal with Cadillac Records but no, he’s not going to be pursuing a music career any time soon. Because of a scheduling conflict, the 34-year old actor will replace Matt Dillon in the Darnell Martin-directed biopic ‘Cadillac Records’.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Adrien will take the role of Leonard Chess, the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer who started the Chicago Blues label Chess Records and searched the South, cheking out the blues scenes and selling records from the back of his Cadillac. Other cast members include Columbus Short, Cedric the Entertainer, Emmanuelle Chriqui and Tammy Blanchard.

Keifer Sutherland Released from Jail

After 48 days in the slammer, Keifer Sutherland was released just after midnight on Monday. He has been in since December 5 and was quite ready to head home to his own bed and some real food.

One of the officers on hand said, “Kiefer is excited to leave the jail and return to the safe and warm confines of his home. Kiefer was the model inmate while he served his time, and jokingly told jail staff that he won’t be doing any laundry anytime soon as he was relegated to endless hours of fluff and fold.”

Keifer originally agreed to the plea bargain of 48 days so he wouldn’t interrupt production of 24, meaning he had to spend the holidays and his birthday in jail. However, shooting of the show has been stopped for the writer’s strike anyway.

Lohan’s Mean Punishment

When drink driving it seems everyone gets his or her come-uppance eventually. Lindsay Lohan may have thought she got off easily after only spending 84 minutes of her 24 hr sentence in jail. The actress was also sentenced to 10 days community service; some of which she has served with the Red Cross.

However four of her days are not something to be looking forward to. The 21 year old will spend two days alongside corpses in a hospital morgue and two days in the A&E department.

The jobs are designed to show Lindsay the consequences of her crime. I wonder if it will have the desired effect…

Another baby? – Fergie and Josh Duhamel

Just another celebrity rumour to add to my belief 2008 is baby boom year.

Stunning singer Fergie and her fiancé Josh Duhamel have sparked pregnancy rumours after being given baby gifts.

Josh, who has been dating the ‘London Bridge’ singer for three years, was celebrating the 100th episode of his hit US TV show ‘Las Vegas’ when Mayor Oscar Goodman presented him with a pair of baby’s shoes.

A source said, “Mayor Goodman gave Josh a pair of baby Crocs sandals for his future baby with fiancée Fergie. Everyone is saying she is pregnant.”

Fergie has previously spoken of her desire to settle down and start a family.She said: “It is one of my dreams to have babies with Josh. It will be so special when it happens.”

The couple announced their engagement last month, and Fergie showed off her impressive diamond ring when she performed in Atlantic City just days later.

Christina Aguilera named her son Max Liron Bratman. Now, I don’t know about you but I’m wondering where she got that name. If you’re wondering just like me, you’re lucky that I have the answer.

The singer’s husband, music exec Jordan, is Jewish and she has a tattoo on her arm in Hebrew. The name Liron is of Hebrew origin meaning ‘my song’ while Max means ‘the greatest’. Now isn’t that the sweetest thing? Max Liron has been deemed as Christina’s greatest song. Now that is what you call a very loving mother. Britney may beat her in the numbers game but I bet Christina would beat her in motherhood.

Johnny Depp to play Jackson?

Johnny Depp would love to play Michael Jackson in a movie about his life.

It was rumoured that the 44-year old actor based his Willy Wonka character in ‘Charlie and The Chocolate Factory’ on the eccentric singer. However he says, “I have heard that I based Willy Wonka on Michael Jackson before, but no, that was not my plan, I wish I had thought of that though. But there is still time to play him. He might get up to his old tricks again and maybe there will be a TV movie about him!”

Johnny – who stars as a murderous barber in ‘Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street’ – also revealed he had no intention of sounding like David Bowie in the musical film.

He added: “I wouldn’t ever dream of attempting to channel David Bowie because he is one of my heroes. But if there is a similarity it wasn’t intentional. It’s a nice compliment though.”

Sly Slams Janice

Ask Sylvester Stallone what he thinks of ex-fiancee Janice Dickinson, and he’ll tell you that she’s just a bloodsucking publicity freak who will say anything to get in the headlines. He says that she pours out lie after lie.

When she went on “Red Eye” hosted by Greg Gutfeld on Fox News, she said that Sly used to take steroids. She also accused him of injecting her with them, saying, “He juiced me. I’d wake up and my arm was as big as Popeye – steroids, testosterone, all that stuff.” Sly says that’s all false.

His exact response? “Janice Dickinson lied about the origin of her child and she’s lying about this.” For those who don’t know, she was engaged to Sylvester in the early 1990s. She claimed she was pregnant with his child, but then DNA tests showed that the father was actually Michael Birnbaum.

Desperate woman will do anything for some attention….

Posh Takeout

Spice Girl Victoria Beckham stands only at 5’6” tall so if you wanted to take her home in bag (though I’m not quite sure why), you can. After all of these years, someone finally figured that out.

Posh’s legs are featured in the new Spring 08 campaign for Marc Jacobs and it is hilarious. I’m not sure if this is supposed to be fashionable or just make Posh look like a huge joke. It’s much like the Marc Jacobs reverse heels that she’s wearing. Honestly, who would wear that? Victoria and Parker Posey can be your answers but I don’t really see that being a fashion trend.

Avril is Pregnant

According to one radio host with the name of Zack Taylor, Avril Lavigne has a bun in the over. The 23-year old Canadian pop rock singer is reportedly 1.5 months pregnant. If you do the math, that means Avril is due to give birth to in August. This would be Avril’s and Sum 41 husband Deryck Whibley’s first child together. The couple will celebrate their second wedding anniversary in July.

Too bad that the news isn’t true. Avril’s label rep spoke to Us Weekly and squashed the radio host’s earlier report and said that the news was not true. To be honest, I’m not sure if I want a little Avril running around in the world anyway.

‘High School Musical 3’ is yet to start filming but Vanessa Hudgens continues to work hard. She recently exercised her magic at a Los Angeles studio on Tuesday. The ‘High School Musical’ star has been busy recording new songs and refining old ones for her sophomore album.

Her acting career may not have been affected by her scandalous pictures but I wonder if her music career will. We all know the formula of innocent teen turning racy as we’ve seen with the likes of Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera. I just find it highly ironic that all three of them happen to be Disney girls. What a trend!

Jessica Simpson and Tony Romo Relax

Guess he’s taking some time for some TLC before the playoffs.

Tony Romo, quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys, spent a post-New Year’s vacation with girlfriend Jessica Simpson in Los Cabos, Mexico. The couple joined some of Tony’s teammates and Jessica’s parents poolside for some fun in the sun.

The two did take some time to be alone privately. They stayed in a house that was in a gated community and hired in their own personal chef. Cozy, huh?

Seems like the two are getting closer than ever. What’s in the future for the two? Who knows? Maybe wedding bells again for Jess….

Breaking the peace – Amy Winehouse

London has been quiet over the festive period, but that is all bound to change now Amy Winehouse has returned to home soil. And the break away with Bryan Adams for Christmas doesn’t seem to have improved her mental state any.

Erratic Amy obviously deemed the flight a perfect time to put on a mini one-woman fashion show. No less than three clothing changes before she touched down on English soil following her Caribbean holiday.

She strolled into Barbados airport (where she kipped on a sofa) wearing a flowery crop top, then swapped it for her notorious red bra and an East 17-inspired string vest. It did not take long for her to realise that England is not quite as balmy as the Caribbean and swiftly changed again into a grey T-shirt and beige cardigan

Not only did the holiday not seem to improve her craziness, but Amy looked no different at all. Not a tan in sight – in fact if anything she just looks a bit dirtier. Is there no helping this woman?

Jayden James is A-OK

Thursday night was certainly drama-filled for the Spears family. And it got especially hotter when 2 ambulances drove out of Britney’s home – one carrying her and another carrying little tyke Jayden James. Everyone was worried about the kid’s health especially when it was reported that Britney seemed to be under the influence and had locked herself and her son in the bathroom.

However, we can rest easy because JJ is ok. He was not injured during the standoff at Britney’s. He was taken to the hospital purely for “preventative reasons”. He just had the normal scrapes and rashes that little ones have but nothing alarming. It’s just SOP.

Lily Allen Slams Young Mothers

Lily Allen was known for having a sharp tongue; previously slagging off fellow stars and being generally bitchy. But then she claimed that the new look Lily no longer had the low confidence that was the cause of her nastiness, after losing a stone and a half.

However, it was recently revealed that the singer hit out at young mothers, saying, “People are having kids too young and nothing is being done about it.”

Despite the fact she is expecting her first child at the young age of only 22.

Apparently she said this before finding out she was expecting…so she’s not as contradicting as she sounds. After revealing her first pregnancy with Chemical Brothers star Ed Simons, Lily insists she is ‘thrilled’.

I guess it wasn’t a planned pregnancy then guys?
